After many episodes of just reading the WUs I saw an episode today. It was lovely - true to the original story and premise of MEIEJ. Thanks Nautanki for getting this train back on track.

A nice episode, I liked it because its majority was on sets about acting and not at home about family drama.

I liked the fact that Anamika made up with Karan😆, some hot sizzling sequence was awaiting for us with the dance too, it started very well, but Madhu got uncomfortable when the scene demanded more intimacy, the reason behind this is that she doesn't want this to be displayed in front of everyone. Actually, this is what happens when you choose to do something which is against what you really want or what you were used to, so I can understand Madhu on that point but couldn't she just chill, she was doing the scene with her husband and its not their first PDA😆 it's not like they were asked to make love right there, by the way wasn't the part which was going to be revealed of her shoulder when Rk pulled the saree the same revealed when she was wearing her yellow gown?!!! or was it all a psychological reaction precisely because of the fact that she is aware that the scene is sensuous and it's been shot in front of everyone and maybe the pallu pulling in India is considered as a disrespectful act?!! I thought she will be more at ease since it's Rk her husband in front of her, I thought maybe she will get carried away and Rk's effect on her will let her forget everything!!! Anyway I hoped that what we don't get with Rishbala we can get it with Karanamika😆, by the way I don't want to seem a despo😆 neither do I ask for vulgar scenes, just some aesthetic scenes with screen blurring or other means to make us understand the message nothing more.

Now that I remembered, Madhu was also nervous when they were rehearsing with the choreographer, come on Madhu!!!, this dance can never be bolder than "aja zara" or holi's dance and both the dances were in front of everyone, Madhu then was so engrossed and carried away woh bhi being in bad terms with Rk, and now she is behaving this way!!!!!

Well let's hope they show us the scene once again with Madhu doing it perfectly😃, just like they did with the first scene of their encounter. The song was sensuous too, perfect choice.

Another point : seems like AB is looking for someone amongst Rk's crew to be his ally, not hard to guess who will it be, Simi's mom I think, who is already trying to create problems but guess what she will be the one who will fall in the hole she dug at least today: poetic justice, can't wait to see her reactions after drinking the coffee with the drug!

Precap : Pabo is now trying to play her game on an other level, her target is Madhu-Radha's bond. Will she be able to do it, I doubt it, especially given the fact that Radha trusts Madhu and she knows what she is worth and has witnessed it too, anyway let's watch and see, everything is possible but I really hope Pabo's plan backfires and Madhu-Radha's bond proves to be strong enough to resist the conspiracies😊

i havnt been seeing the episodes but saw today's right now on net coz the whole forum was abuzz with 'hot hot hot' ...so here's what i felt
Precap : pabbo's mission seems hilarious! she doesnt know this madhu has capability to ignore even radha when it comes to RK! does pabbo think that if radha stops supporting madhu then madhu will back off?? 😆 but, i'm bored honestly...no 'alag che'

Najat, thanks for posting the videos - seen on their own, outside the context of the episode (where the scene was being shot, with unit hands etc all around) Karan-Anamika together look lovely.

I understand that the dori opening, the pallu pulling are very delicate issues in the indian culture, but is the dori covering more than the gown or the short dress covers!!!

What was shown isn't at all more than what Madhu shows usually with her backless cholis, moreover she had many PDA and public dances with her husband, so if anyone looked or lusted at her no one would have been able to prevent them

Moreover how do you expect the film to be done, if it's a romantic movie, it can't be done without some dances and touches and hugs, Rk actually acted as a professional, I know he should understand his wife but don't forget he told her he is with her, and they are acting, and if Madhu or Rk didn't want that , then from the begining she shouln't have entered the film industry not even acting only with her husband because now people will critisize saying Rk opened the dori of his wife in front of everyone forgetting that they were acting and doing their job, it's not like if he did it in another context.

I know we all like possessive husbands who care about their wife, and Rk is one of them but as I said this is a professional context and it's not like she will pose naked or if they will show bolder scenes, the parts that might be revealed in the scene can be showed in any gown of hers and people then wouldn't consider it as bad, just like if a girl wears a pikini or a swimming suit on the beach no one would consider it bad then!!


I'm not defending the ideas below because I'm a muslim and in our religion a woman should not show any parts of her body apart from her face and hands, and she should wear loose clothes and never look at someone who is not her husband not even shake hands with them, but neither all mulsims do this, nor do I judge people either because it all depends on the intentions behind actions, whatever be the case, people should not have double standards, accept certain things in a situation and refuse the same things in another situation.

People want her to be a heroine opposite her husband but are criticizing him because he was doing what the scene required, be it Rk or Madhu if they don't want this to happen then Madhu should have never entered the industry, now that both agreed to it, they should not compromise their work, it's that simple!

So my take on Madhu's discomfort is that regardless of them PDA'ing in public at various points - those were the moments when they were lost in each other, caught up in the emotion or passion of the moment, and hardly aware of anyone else. Whereas this intimate scene was specifically being enacted, in public, knowing that all eyes were on them. The fact that they are husband and wife probably makes it worse - it is like you are exposing your personal intimate moments to avid onlookers. Because RK is the experienced one, the actor, he has presumably been able to compartmentalize his emotions. Madhu, as the complete newbie, is unable to do so.

The pallu being pulled is really an intent and modesty thing - its not about how much of skin is exposed, its all about the symbolic nature of it all. 😉

To add my less than two cents on the episode sensuality, and comfort watching it with kids - I actually do not let my son watch MBEIEJ with me (or for that matter any romantic show I'm watching, including IPK1 or IPK2 etc etc) because you just never know what is going to show up. Even subtle scenes, if your child is old enough - and mine is - can be awkward. Plus, I don't really want him to be witness to my drooling sappily over the exploits of some onscreen couple. 😆

I also dislike seeing the other unit members in their romantic scenes, this why I try to cut the maximum of parts including other characters image by image till I get only Rishbala, this is possible in these motion pictures, in the video I'll be uploading to dailymotion it's not completely practical as the song is going on and the director instructions will be cut too, giving the impression that the scene is incomplete nevertheless I cutted the scene when simmi's mom asked for the coffe from the spot boy so practicaly I kept the scenes featuring Rishbala even in their interaction with others.

Concerning Madhu's discomfort, I also said in my first post that I understand it very well, in her place I would have felt maybe the same, it's psychological thing because she is aware of the intimacy required in the scene and the crew members who were watching, but I hoped she chills out and get engrossed with Rk and try to see things from a professional angle, simply because if they want to shoot the scene in a proper way, they don't have other solutions, maybe reducing the number of crew members attending the shooting keeping only the director, cameraman and the light's engineer

I understand about the dori and its symbolic nature, but I wonder how they will carry forward the film, maybe this is exactly what they want to show us that it's not easy especially for a married woman to be a part of the film industry, there are many things she should deal with including in her own mind to be able to complete her work

I want to see how Rk will handle all this, actually it's a very delicate issue, on one hand he is the husband who should protect his wife (even from other's eyes😲), on the other hand he is a professional actor and producer!

Najat, my sense is that knowing something on an intellectual, rational level often has nothing to do with the way one reacts - which is usually on an emotional level, unless you have trained yourself to control your emotional responses.

BTW, I don't think RK was clueless about why Madhu reacted the way she did - I'm waiting for Monday to see to the extent of his understanding, and how he deals with it.

Random side-note: I forgot to mention Madhu's look when simpering Simmy showed up with coffee for RK. I think there's going to be more to come on this in the future.

Yes you are right, it's about emotions, no matter sometimes how we intellectualy understand things, we just can't handle them right because of our emotions, so being a delicate issue, I won't talk further about it. Unless we are truly in Madhu's place, it's easy to say she should be professional.

Well, I trust Rk, and he told her I'm with you maybe to reduce her discomfort, so as you I'll also wait to see the extent of his understanding and how he deals with the situation, I hope he figures out a way to make all this seem acceptable to audience.

and yes, I also noticed Madhu's look to Simmi, I hope we can have more in the future. jealous Madhu is a treat to watch can't forget the day Rk brought that girl to Rk Mansion😆
By the way Simmy seems to be nice unlike her dayan mom!!!
