Nice in the way Sikky is. 😆 She was initially appalled by her mummy's plan, but then happily went along with it. Gave RK his coffee, so that Mummy could give Madhu hers. And she, along with Mummy was watching anxiously, hoping Madhu would sip the drink.

I don't know but its seemed to me that she was unware of the fact that her mom has put drugs in Madhu's coffee, I thought she was just trying to be nice to Rk and gave him the coffee, what made even more sure that she doesn't know what her mom did, is when she asked the latter "What" when Rk-Madhu left for shot and her mom growled seeing her plan backfire, she might have been asked by her mom to take coffee to Rk, but don't think she knew about the drug

Najat,

There is no norm in India that romantic movies have to have sensual scenes for it to be considered a romantic movie case in point jab we met and ddlj , kal ho Na ho , they become huge hits.

Ajay devgan and kajol are wife and husband , their first home production is a romantic movie and has mental health issue as the back ground , I don't remember that there was any sensual scene in that.

Rk being a husband needs to be responsible and should have a say in how his wife is potrayed as these scenes will result in his wife being ogled at and I do not want to write more ..

There is a reason why you see more sons of industry people than daughters and when daughters enter they make sure they are portrayed properly.

I also seen a Telugu heroine soundarya who was a hit heroine but through out her entire career never wore modern dresses was always fully clad in sarees and chudidaars , inspite of that she was a huge it .

Mehul a heroine turned from simple girl to super confident woman after the movie started and going by mehuls dialogues he wanted a confident and sensuous anamika which means he wanted a very hot scene.

We all understood madhus reservations but rk not having any reservations about it is totally out of character

By the way I too liked simmy she was appreciating mAdhu and did not show any malice

I loved today's episode. Not for any awkward fractured chemistry between Karan and Anamika but for DD's near flawless depiction of Madhu's naivete and inexperience and inability in performing that intimate scene. Though I wanted RK to be more supportive (I needed VD to emote equally through his eyes just like DD did), I liked that he was not frustrated, he remained in character and patient throughout. DVD as usual amazing be it RM or AnamiKaran (instead of Karanika which sounds like a Maharashtrian surname to me. 😆 )

I want to know if MC's past successes were based on directing mythological films. i.e. just like it is Madhu's first time doing intimate scene as a newbie, is it his first time directing one. The reason I ask is, because MC takes the full blame for today's fiasco, IMO. Actors are as it is temperamental and each scene needs its own handling. Intimate scenes with newbie is a disaster waiting to happen and If MC was under the impression that Madhu will have no problem since costar is her husband, he could not have been more wrong.

MC could and should have changed the tactics once it became apparent that scene is not working. He should have cleared that room immediately to lessen Madhu's anxiety and nervousness. The kid glove treatment that this scene warranted was absent. Instead it was just mindless yelling of an impatient drill master demanding that the cadet fall in line.

How long are we as audience supposed to have this bichari bichari feeling for Madhu? Ghar mein woh chudail Pabo buddhiya aur set per yeh sathiya hua budhha. Are we supposed to just stand on the sideline and cheer her, cajole her as she tries to somehow finish this heroine "track"?

I want RK to BBB MC next week and I also want a scene where RK explains patiently the ropes of this trade to Madhu. It is not for faint hearted for sure. On that note I wonder if it were Dipali in Madhu's place what she would have done. I think, she herself would have untied that dori and then all the nervousness would have been on RK's part in spite of him being the "Superstar". 😆

I think this particular scene had nothing to do with woman's marital status. I feel it has everything to do with the temperament of the woman doing the scene. The scene had all the potential to work like a charm if only that director knew how to make it work.

Precap: Rji, time to "root" for Madhu. It's payback time.

I'm replying to the whole post but I didn't want to quote it all, already have posted a lot today, didn't want to fill the whole page😆

Yes I agree with you on the fact that a romantic scene is not necessarily a sensual one and a hit movie should not necessarily include sensual scenes, but they haven't shown more than Sharukhan-kajol in Kuch kuck hota hai in the rain sequence, and I didn't find the scene of Karan-anamika as a really hot-red scene, maybe the dori opening is what made people revolte and by the way I also hate films where they show a lot of kissing and love scenes and I prefer a way more films like jab we met. you are right maybe, MC was asking them to get closer, so don't know what would happen later, but I don't think there would have been more than that dori opening because Rk wouldn't like Madhu to show a naked back or any vulgar things!

here is the scene from kuck kuch hota hai ( a lovely one by the way)

Hey Najat n Meenu..
Sorry to butt in.. But I am kinda midway here..

I don't think there was something wrong in the scene and it was not gonna go beyond that.. He just held the pallu not take it off or something, which we have witnessed in a few movies.. I hate those scenes.. And he definitely wouldn't have gone beyond the dori.. Lets wait for the completion of scene on Monday.. Or if it ever gets completed.. As a Rishbala fan, I want RK to scrap it off or tone it down, rather than ask madhu to be bolder..

I want to hold my opinion on RK's response to the same till Monday's episode.. But I liked the DK who covered madhu's back with her pallu in studio episodes.. So him not speaking to madhu before the scene was unlike RK for me.. To begin with, he should have asked the extra crew to leave the sets which is a usual norm for movies.. And here it was his wife..
The professionalism sank in later but before the scene started and amidst the takes he was still a husband...

Najat.. She knew about the coffee being spiked.. She tried to stop her initially and later abided by her mom..

Najat,
Sharukj was neither kajols husband nor Kajol was married at tHat point.

Rk and Madhu situation is unique...it needs different handling

Rk went along with scene , he did not have nay reservations. So I only see him trying to explain to her and removing her reservations.

Kabhi Alvida was a typo ,I meant kal ho na no ..any by Karan Johan's standards kabhi Alvida did not do as well as his other movies..

I guess you are right, I've watched the scene again and I noted Simmy's disappointment too when Madhu didn't drink the coffee😊

Agree with you, also the fact that Rk is the producer of the film gives him some authority to decide how things will be, generally actors have clauses in their contracts and there everything is specified

I will wait to see Rk's stand and I'll also wait to see the whole scene if they ever show it again to see its extent , because I still don't think it would have gone beyond the dori opening 😊
