but thats the thing Nids..
MEIEJ worked all this time inspite of not having such cheap saas bahu tactics.
its core audience doesnt like such stuff
so while hoping they would attract new trp audience with such tracks, aisa na ho that even the loyal audience leave watching the show

IMO the saas bahu stuff takes away the charm and the fun of watching the main track

Kind of agree but there have been tracks like KC, Ganpathi Pooja where a perfect blend of family drama and love story clicked with the audience ! ..Having said that I feel its all abt the execution at the end of the day ! ..If its good enough plus promotion from the channel, such tracks can work and offcourse, it takes away the shine for a minor proportion of the audience from the main track but not all ! Lets wait and watch !

UK Ratings Madhubala climbing steadily

Overnights: Bani' gets record high ratings on Rishtey

'Bani' continues to do well on Rishtey

Bani - Ishq Da Kalma', which has been steadily climbing up the ratings on Rishtey, has delivered the best ever figures last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

Yesterday's episode of Bani - Ishq Da Kalma', which aired at 19:30 pulled in a record high 143,500 viewers - peaking at 171,800 viewers - the biggest ever for the channel for a fiction show. In second place was Laagi Tujhse Lagan' at 20:30 with 102,000 viewers and Na Aana Iss Desh Laado' at 21:00 in third with 79,900 viewers. Parichay' was next with 70,100 viewers.

On sister channel, Colors, Bigg Boss 7 also delivered the biggest ever ratings since it launched with 113,700 viewers - peaking at 153,400 viewers. In second place was Madhubala' with 35,600 viewers and Uttaran' next with 27,400 viewers.

On Star Plus, Diya Aur Baati Hum' was the most watched show last night in the UK with 197,600 viewers, followed by Meri Bhabhi' with 197,100 viewers and SaraswatiChandra' next with 194,000 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were Pyar Ka Dard Hai' (191,700), Mahabharat' (153,800), Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' (136,700), Saathiya' (121,500), Ek Ghar Banaunga' (100,200), Veera' (98,600) and Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon' (49,300).

On Star Life Ok, Savdhaan India' was back on top with 56,300 viewers at 22:30, followed by the re-runs of Geet' with 39,600 viewers and Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon' with 27,800 viewers. Mahadev' got 22,400 viewers and Ek Boond Ishq' with 18,700 viewers.

Thanks everyone for the TRPs.

the drop is marginal but i think last week was uneventful...as i said earlier, the TRPs will keep swinging in this range till the time there is some big twist...it will pick up from this week...next week TRPs will be better...

as for the latest twist in the kitchen politics, MB may show cliche tracks but the presentation is always unique...We'll have Radha & RK in Madhu's favor & Dips ki planning always fail...I don't mind watching saas bahu politics...IMO what we're getting now is far better than the useless Bhai track !
