I've watched alot of Madhu RK type relationships, and even some Padmini-psycho ones. But even in the most traditional families, I mean, when you watch your daughter end up in the emergency room, the unacceptable suddenly becomes acceptable. I don't think the cv's would be stupid enough to tie Madhu into an emotionally abusive relationship and give it the name of tradition. RK's controlling behaviour is getting worse and worse. I wouldn't be surprised if it became physical after marriage. I would just hate, I repeat hate to see this type of controlling behaviour to be portrayed as love.

Strangely enough I think Madhu will face opposition from Padmini if she wants divorce. That woman adhered to her crazy marriage for a long long time. So yes, I definitely see the conflict.

Yes, I do agree that for a daily serial set up, this seems like the perfect thing to do, even very gutsy. However I still think there is some limitation to what they are willing to do and try out. For instance, they still haven't had Madhu sleep with RK. This goes with your above point. These CVs kind of show things without actually showing them. For instance, in such a story and cycle, they would already be having a sexual relationship. But the CVs just keep it at sharing the bed. If you watch the episodes without knowing about their lack of consummation, in some episodes where it's not addressed, you would assume they are having sex. But of course, the CVs have not gone there (yet?).

Just as the CVs have kept to the basic rule of keeping the heroine's chastity (edit: wrong word usage--virginity not chastity) intact--when you already have introduced the third angle to the relationship, it is a risky choice for them to be married. Either the marriage needs to come undone very quickly, highlighting RK's jackassery. Or, the marriage needs to be shown completely and fully for what it is.

I'm not sure if this makes much sense, it's more of a quick ramble.

You are free to call anyone. I do know the forum rules and my limits for I've been longer in this forum than you. As to defending a character like RK, did I not call him a monster? Only he is changing for the better or that is how I perceive him. If you think your Sultan is the saint you are entitled to your opinions. Since the topic maker has titled the post as 'please explain to me' I was trying to explain. Next time you can add only Sulbala fans are allowed entry into such posts.

You make plenty of sense. They're so tricky with how their show things. There's almost a parallel track running alongside the more acceptable one that is shown. I never noticed that about the consummation until you mentioned it. But so so true.
That's why I think Sulbala is still very possible. But yes, you're so right. Either its a short lived marriage, or they need to highlight RK's wrongness in the very beginning. That's why I think the SR will be big. Even for the most avid RK fans, there needs to be something with a bang.

LOL I mean this in the politest manner possible but seriously what show are some people in here watching?

People are free to like Sultan and ship Sulbala, sure...but come on now let's not be DELUSIONAL about the RK-Madhu relationship when it is PLAIN to see how madly they are in love with each other...time and again, the writers and Madhu herself has spoken plainly enough about the kind of complicated love they share for each other...but if ppl want to oversimplify this and think Madhu is some kind of "VICTIM" returning to her "tormentor" but will one day realize her "love" for Mr. Sultan, then toh😆

RK has more than pushed the edge of sanity many times, true...but their story has always been about THEM...they are both equally obsessed with each other...Madhu has unwittingly involved Sultan and for that one can only feel sorry for him...lol...

There was never anything there...khayaali pulaao at best...and seeing the recent scenes wherein Madhu herself realized that her love for RK never died, only grew stronger with time...and RK himself made amends for what he did within the scope of his personality.

Ppl are free to dislike the characters they want...and fan-fictions are always there to build your own universe...but what's happening in the show is plain for anyone to see if they want to view it objectively regarding what this story has always been about.

Charisma, first if all as always your a phenomenal writer and an even better debater (as I know from before.) thn God we mostly agree here! I have few points I want to make but I am typing off my iphone.

I think the CVs are trying to redeem RK and make him genuine but the problem is they don't understand the meaning of redemption. Every major complaint against RK has been addressed but all in very pathetic ways.

For an example, there was a major disgusting scene when RK made Madhu scream she can only love him. She was in tears and so much pain. Everyone was disgusted that he could only hear his selfish need of ownership. And couldn't see how much pain she was in. Now all the sudden Madhu's tears affect why because after the mehndi he wiped her tears and told her a joke. Cvs dont get those were tears of joy from Madhu. The point is when your in love your suppose feel your loved ones pain. And in the same pathetic manner all his major complaints were addressed. Like getting down on his delicate knee once was enough to undo the pain RK caused Madhu. From convos with Raghuvir they are trying to redeem him but don't understand redemption nor they understand the point they have butchered RK.

They have unknowingly managed to convey genuine love better through Sulbala.

I genuinely feel the CVs deserve an award for the most pathetic portrayal of true love. It seems pitiful to me.

Like I said to someone else in this thread, you're entitled to your opinion. But if you're going to respond to a post than atleast stay on topic. I'm not in the mood to be preached too. And neither do I drop in on RK Madhu threads and try to preach to others. I'll just quote the bold back to you.

peace out ⭐️

I asked for unbiased people to explain to me how Sulbala is ending. Not how RK is the hero of all heros 😆. But I guess we're all very biased. So I'm still as confused as I was before ⭐️

LOL you consider this preaching? haha...well that wasn't my intention at all.

If this post was meant only for Sulbala fans, you should have put that in your title...I thought this was a forum for free discussion but if you want to keep your views that narrow in focus, you are most welcome to enjoy your alternate reality Sulbala. I don't see the need to make generic threads in the main forum for that then🤔

Peace out from my side too

Sona, you're like a breath of fresh air after reading some RK comments 😆. A little debate never hurt anyone. Writing in all caps and throwing in a billion emoticons hardly makes me want to respond. But anyways, I see your point. And I agree. I don't know if this is right, but I think there may be some dissention amongst the writers themselves as to how go about RK. They tried to make him good, but that didn't work with audiences. So now they're trying to retain his jackassery and still make him 'humble' in front of Madhu. But like you said, bringing in Sultan probably backfired. I don't think they've made their decision as to how this will play out yet. Fingers crossed. I really really hope that what I see now is them backtracking on, what you rightly termed, the most pathetic portrayal of true love. And maybe go for the more genuine love. I don't think all is lost yet. But it might be smart to do what you do and keep your expectations low.
