Chapter 94

"Seriously where is Adam? He was supposed to be here ages ago." Madhu complained as she tried on yet another cocktail dress. "I just can't live without him anymore... I have lost all sense of dressing since he appointed himself as my personal stylist. I can't tell if red and black or black and yellow or blue and brown go together or not anymore." Madhu huffed as she stripped off the red cocktail dress to try on the purple one.

When Abby didn't answer back, Madhu glanced in her direction and noticed that Abby was distracted. She seemed to be going over something in her mind. "Abby?' Madhu called out, throwing a pillow at her to get her attention. "Penny for your thoughts?"

"Uh.. Oh.. It's nothing really." Abby answered back rather glum. "When has it ever been nothing? Just spill it." Madhu said plopping herself onto Rishab and her bed, wearing nothing but a see-through negligee. She looked at their bed and smiled. Any other day just the thought of this bed and its almost happenings would bring a blush so deep red that Maya would probably use her face colour as a shade chart while buying tomatoes. I say almost happenings because though they have explored and experimented, you know gotten very handsy, Rishab had yet to discover the Holy Grail. What was holding him back?

Abby turned to look at her for a second wondering if she should discuss this with Madhu first or wait till she has had a word with Akash. Biting her lip, Abby looked away picking up a gorgeous LBD (Little Black Dress), "I think Akash is planning to leave soon. You know go back to his work, his home.." She winced when she said home, mainly because she wish home was with her.

Madhu sat up at that, watching a range of emotions making a quick stop on Abby's face. "Did he say anything?"

"Not outright... no. I didn't mean to eavesdrop or anything but I kinda walked in on him talking to Kapoor about coming back in a few days." Abby sat down on the bad, her back facing Madhu, trying to hide her emotions. "I never expected to fall in love with him, not this much, not this quick. But I do love him and I don't know how to deal with him not being around. I steeled myself when we had to return back home. But the time I spent with him all these days... I don't know if I can..." Abby cut off, her voice faltering.

"Shhh..." Madhu moved closer to Abby and gathered her in her arms, making calming noises till she was relaxed and calm enough to talk again.

"Do you wanna cancel 'Girls Night Out' so you can spend some quality time with Akash? Maybe talk about this with him? And anyway Adam is not here yet and I wouldn't really mind." Madhu suggested.

"No... No, I need this. I need for us to go out, get drunk, get hit on, yada yada yada..." Abby laughed rolling her hand in the air as she wiped her tears off with the other. "So you know what? I am going to dress up in that awesome strapless blue silk chiffon dress with those black pumps that you like and you..." she glanced through the piles of dresses scattered around the bed and picked up a greyish silver ruched strapless cationic chiffon dress for Madhu, "can wear this with those metallic purple pumps", pointing to the ones she was referring to, "and let the girls work to keep a hold on their boys tonight."

Akash looked up at Rishab who was all fidgety from the sports magazine he was reading and smiled. He was sure that he would never see the day when Rishab would be so head over heels in love with a girl that he would be pacing around and being all fidgety just because his girlfriend turned fiance was going on a 'Girls Night Out' and he was worried about her well-being. But nonetheless he was glad to see the day.

Akash called out to Rishab trying to divert his attention to something anything besides the girl who was with his girlfriend getting all decked up to go out. "Rishab, do you have any connections at this magazine?"

"Huh?" Rishab looked at Akash blankly, as if just realizing that he was in the same room, and then looked at the magazine in Akash's hand.

"Uh... Maybe. I don't know. Will have to check with Bittuji. Why?" Rishab asked, a little curious now.

"I was kinda thinking since you are like the most eligible bachelor and a big shot businessman, they will be interested to print any article you write in their next issue."

"And what is this article I am supposed to be writing?" Rishab asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Mountain climbing, of course. You could talk about it as your hobby, as a way to relax, clear your mind, take in nature and lets not forget the adventure and strength building that goes into it too, after-all it is a sports magazine. It will be a way to revive the spirits of the now couch potatoes. Get them out of their seats that probably have their arse print on it by now, out there. You can mention your recent mountaineering experience in it too."

Rishab smiled slowly, "Ahh... so this is what it is all about huh? Publicity for the business!!"

"Hmm", Akash said being non-committal to the accusation. "Don't forget to mention that you met your fiance on this trip."

Akash explained further when he noticed Rishab's confusion, "Imagine the headline 'The next best thing after on-line dating - Mountain Climbing', a place where you can meet you soul-mate. Together you can explore nature's beauty and also each others'"

"Are you selling the mountain climbing experience or are you making sure the rooms at the lodge are packed to the limit?" Rishab replied with slight disgust.

"I meant to say.." Akash tried to retract his statement.

Rishab shook his head at him, "Don't... The more you open your mouth the more I am convinced that you are a closeted pimp."

Madhu walked into the room, slightly unsure of herself. Though Abby told her a million times that she looks awesome, she just wasn't sure of it. After-all friends tend to be biased, right?

But all uncertainty flew out the window when she looked into Rishab's eyes. He looked at her like he wanted to take her there and then, ravish her right there on the floor. If it was anyone else she would probably feel uncomfortable and want to cover herself up, but the hunger in his eyes, the hunger for her excited her. She felt like a character in one of those Mills and Boon books she had read, where the handsome virile man would grab the woman by the waist and take her in the pile of hay in a barn somewhere. Madhu felt hot... bordering on feverish.. She closed her eyes for a moment and could literally feel his fingers on her, his hand slowly moving up her leg, lifting her dress up on the way and then moving inwards. As his hand moved up tracing her inner thigh with circles, she felt her legs part to make room for him. She wanted him to move higher, closer to where she needed him the most. She felt her mouth go dry in anticipation. His hand moved as if it had a mind of its own... pure genius. All the while his other hand worked towards getting her out of the damn dress, slowly as if trying not to damage it in any way. She wanted to tell him that she didn't care if it ripped. Rather she would rip it off herself if he wasted any more time on it. She just wanted it off her and him on her, skin to skin. There is nothing better than that.

Abby nudged Madhu and giggled, "Told you you looked hot!! Rishab can't get his eyes off you. Just look at the way he stashed his hands in his pockets, probably worried about not being able to get a grip on his...wants." Madhu's eyes darted open and she blushed crimson red, partly due to Abby's teasing and partly due to the thoughts she couldn't seem to be able to keep at bay in recent times. She had fallen into one of her fantasy moments only to be pulled out of it by Abby. Damn these fantasies were going to be the death of her. On second thought, the waiting was going to be the death of her.
