I too was not familiar with this actor before his entry in this show. I had been watching for a while before his entry and I was ready to give up...I had more than reached my limit for stomaching watching a girl abused, humilated, emotionally, psychologically, physically. A man with a bad case of the bak baks who frankly showed all the signs of needing medical help. THen Sultan happened!!!

His looks apart...the way he portrays sultan and the depth he gives to all the emotions he shows...whether is rage, anger, sorrow, the tenderness and love for his son, even the odd half smile we get to see...just shows we are seeing the tip of the iceberg! Will be amazing to see this character with a woman he loves!!

As for the chemistry between madhu and him...what happens in this forum from all sides just shows what an effect the pairing of madhu and sultan has!! Both read love from not only the same book but the same page. Whereas rk doesn't even know how to read when it comes to love, let alone book and page!!
Brilliant brilliant casting and character development of both rk and sultan. Both are penned by the same writer ...some people tend to forget that!!

I started watching and enjoying the show as a whole because of Sultan. Yes, that's right. His entry made me appreciate the show as a whole, whereas before I never had any hope for this show. I would only follow the major happenings. But Sultan's entry made me a regular and complete follower of Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon.

I found the promos of the show promising and decided to give it a try. And the first episode was class apart, felt like watching a thriller movie. And slowly after the leap i didnt find it interesting enough even after rks entry. I used to watch sometimes when i had lot of free time. And as far as rishbala was concerned, they were not enough to hook me to the shows. Whenever i saw them on screen i only felt that the creatives r just cashing in on the lead pairs popularity. All i could rememeber was those countless eyelocks, falling on bed, rks biwi biwi chants and on the top of that some loud music which gave nothing other than headaches. As for avinesh i had watched chhal frm the very first episode. The show was so different and promising in the beginning but cvs themselves destroyed it and soon it went to gutter. Morover i could never tolerate the girl, her acting, her voice and everything.I could never enjoy any romantic scenes there and stoppen watching when it became total crap. I used to stalk chhal forum and believe me. 95% of the viwers tolerated it just for AR . The fact is there also he was introduced as an antagonist but he stole the show and became the hero. The sho died an early death only because of crap story, but avi was irresistable. Otherwise he would not have been in a show like mb that too as a parallel lead whether some people accept it or not.

I agree!! Avinash is so far getting the raw end of the deal as the Char of Sultan is not being utilized properly. What a strong introduction and what a strong character they gave him.

A strength of char which had dealt him the loss of BOTH his parents in the most horrific way possible and an orphaned childhood and adulthood of violence( forced on him at the tender age of eight or so), in spite of which he still manages to retain at least some understanding of right and wrong, to still have strong principles and scruples of his own ( whatever they might be) and having the understanding and the strength of heart and char to understand when he is wrong and to say sorry or to try to correct his mistake.

Mistakes happen with every one. But, it the aftermath of which shows the kind of man or person u r. And he who has never seen kindness or tender emotions when exposed to them, he has learnt from them, and tried to correct his behavior, whether it is with Aryan, or Madhu or any one else.

The actor and the char both more than deserved giving them their due and getting a track where he could be better utilized, with a story and track of his own which utilizes the actor and the char.

Instead, we r getting Butchering or under utilization or unnecessary tweaking of chars, may it be Madhu's loss of back bone and will power or self respect or Sultan's sudden turn to a complete softie or RK with his non stop bak bak.

Kudos to CVs for such rare talent!!

Last September I was in India and thanks to my parents, with them I stated watching Madhubala, And them after too much of eye-locks, I got fed up and stopped watching for a while, I did see the end of chhal and I liked AR, so after un-wedding I stated watching and also the news of AR as sultan made me watch the show.
