Like someone said, a man's ego is bigger than woman's self-respect. Great going. :(

Im assuming this comment of yours is after watching the wedding ceremony finish! Abusive relationships cycle thru many promises by the abuser to the victim of having reformed and the victim believing that THIS time he has changed!! Then something innocous triggers the abuse again..and of course its the victim's fault... So...Lets wait and see! The writers havn't disappointed yet in keeping each character inherently "true" to their basic qualities. Doggies curly tails do not straighten and leopards do not change their spots!

i've read the first page of this thread and agree to most of what was said.

Today during the phere's I noticed the sinister music from when Madhu moved infront and was leading RK round the fire, it seemed the CV's are showing that RK will change again to be bad, but at that moment with the music and other effects of sound and quietness of the guests observing them it seemed Madhu was marrying someone that can switch to being evil...however after the phere's those sound effects are replaced to the joys of the wedding and all was forgotten, but if you get a chance do watch from phere 5 onwards and tell me if I was just imagining it or you felt the same.

See Nafs...I for one will take a look to see see or rather hear what you did but I have always had a problem with background music tracks in indians shows...i feel that they give mixed msgs. Like...to me there have been times when that background track...hum hai deewane sounds just wrong...coz some incidence has happened seconds beforehand that has got nothing to do with love.

As for rk being able to switch...Im thinking...there is a pattern..he switches when his will is thwarted...and cvs have always showed that...now why would they suddenly change that? Question is..now with the entry of his dad's first wife and also finding out that sadakchaap is his brother, when he does flip...is he going to take it out on madhu too?

Hum Hai Deewani, I think is apt. Because it says exactly what they are. It's just that it's not spelled out ..yet..that the Deewani isn't something to be about, and Deewani is a very tame and incorrect word for it.

Nafs, when I get to watching the episode I'll let you know. :)

Yeah you are trying logic against fangirls. Good luck with that. I suspect a large number on this forum are young teen girls. Their brains are still developing and hormones racing through their bodies. I just don't worry about their opinions. I've said pretty stupid things when I was young too. I actually loved RK and Madhu's hate chemistry and I was just waiting for a proper redemption arc that never materialized. The writers just lost their way and I believe the marriage of RK and Madhu is backtracking and giving fangirls what they want. Personally I don't think India is yet ready for a truly dark character. Cannot see some one like Walter White happening in India anytime soon. He is awful and there is no glorifying his crimes. i believe in the last season he will die and I'll be satisfied with that. Also, the production houses are worried about TRPs so story-lines just don't make sense. Indian audiences just need to mature and hopefully a larger variety of storytelling will be shown.

Whoever said, a picture is worth a thousand words sure knew what he was talking about!

Rk - Madhu both have their good and bad..

but as far as the question is if RK should be with Madhu or not, I think it is Madhu's choice.. and the character Madhu's choice..if she wants to be with RK or not..

And as far as I get it, if she has to be with someone, she would always choose RK...just my reading..

I agree with the first bold, but not the second. I mean, part of having a choice is having the free will to exercise that choice. Madhu has been beaten (emotionally), pushed and manipulated into making this choice. And when she smiles I don't see a happy Madhu. I see a delusional Madhu.
And with RK suffocating her, I don't see how she can respond in any other way. You can't force someone to make a certain choice and then call it their decision.

I guess its a difference in perception. We'll just have to wait and watch. Hopefully cv's stick to the story they have written so far.

Well for me it's different cuz I haven't watched many Indian shows and this is the only one I am watching currently. The previous ones I watched were so lame and crappy compared to the show. And those actors...don't even get me started about them! DVD are the main reason why I am hooked to this show, if one of them leaves then for ME, the show will lose it's magic.

Lovely post 👍🏼

I do agree that there was absolutely no justification to RK's behavior. However horrid your past maybe it gives you absolutely no right to destroy someone else. It cannot be used as an excuse to underplay his terrible deeds. But I also do not subscribe to the notion that the man cannot change. Why assume that he will once again repeat the same things that he has done before? He has publicly accepted and apologized for what he has done. It shows he has indeed moved in the right direction. Yes we can argue that a leopard never changes his spots and in abusive relations the cycle of abuse and extreme behavior never ceases...maybe very well true in the real world but this is a story. A character goes through various changes...that's how a story moves forward. I also do not agree that Madhu the character has submitted to his dominance or she is anyways weak. She did fight for her dignity but when she saw the real and genuine efforts RK was taking to change she gave in. There's nothing wrong in giving second chances and having the faith that a person has indeed changed for the better..😊

Regarding what was promised and what is being shown in the serial...well that's the story of every TV daily soap. Everyone promises a hatke show but they immediately adopt the few tried n tested formulas that work on TV 😆 Its all TRP driven. Tracks are brought about...characters are butchered...characters are replaced according to TRPs 😆
