Mate you have summarized the show so perfectly. And seriously, I forgot the pack-up bit. How long will producers tolerate a guy who ruins the shooting halfway everyday? This is the most illogical depiction of the film world I've seen anywhere. There was this scene where a director sidled up to RK after he declared Madhu was his spot, and said: "Wow, sir, kya sabak sikhayi. You showed her her true place."I was like, this guy makes films? Then RK responded- "woh jaise bhi hai RK ka property hai!"I cringed. This is the summary of all his defending Madhu- kynki she is RK's property.

Amazing post. You said it all. This post echoes my thoughts. I never thought this show or it's characters, especially RK, was in any way different or unique. Except maybe Madhu's. I have seen a ton of "Rich spoiled brats with grey shades" in may Indian shows before, just with a different profession. And this show is everything that a typical saas-bahu show has. We were promised a show that covers the aspect of Bollywood and the Glamor World, but instead what we got was the cliched rich boy meets middle class girl, they hate each other, the guy marries the girl forcefully, they fall each other and BAM it turns into another typical Indian show.
I will not get into the whole debate of RK bein illogically justified 24x7 for his actions because you and me both know that those who are wearing a blindfold will not take it off. I especially appreciate the point you raised with Mukund. That is SO true. Too bad things still haven't changed and the same is happening with Sultan now.
This forum is not owned by one fan group only. This is an open forum and no one has the right to patent it with their names and conveniently kick everybody out for having a different opinion. I am sick and appalled by the hypocrisy and double standards of the people here!

I gave reasons for whatever I said. If you think it is unjustified why don't you oppose my points with reasons? Or you were given the choice of not reading my post, weren't you?And I think I will decide for myself whether I am a VD fan or not, thank you very much. The important point is I know the difference between RK the character and VD the actor.Let me give you a few examples:I may think Amjad Khan a great actor- but I am not a fan of Gabbar Singh the character.I may like the way Amrish Puri plays Mogambo, but I don't think Mogambo was such a nice guy.I totally heart the actors Alan Rickman, Jason Isaacs and Ralph Fiennes, but I hate the characters of Snape, Malfoy and Voldemort.Yes, they made very entertaining villains, they had great dialogues, great presence, great personalities, but note the use of the word "villain". You don't support their actions. You don't want a Gabbar or a Mogambo to win.I'll give you a last example- although I have a feeling I am wasting my time- in the black and white era, two of the leading heroes in Bengali Cinema were Uttam Kumar and Soumitra Chatterjee. I like the films of both, but perhaps I have a preference for SoumitraC. However, they did a film together called Jhinder Bandi (The Prisoner of Jhind) in which UK was the postive character and SC was an outright villain. Villain with an amazing attitude and screen presence, but he did things that were wrong- and when I watched the film I did not support his character. So, let me try one more time: I have liked VD the actor since Kasam Se, and I think he is acting brilliant in MB, but I don't like the character of RK, for which I have given reasons, which you have not countered. As for Madhu being the cheapest, frankly, RK brought this upon himself by forcing her against her will to come back to his life. It's not like Madhu planned to do all this all along, but RK did not leave her alone and now he is going to reap what he sowed. Also,my post was about how everybody excuses RK because he is supposed to be different, and I pointed out that he is not in fact so different.
Great post. Especially bringing up all the Mukund bashing, simply because he wasn't Rk, and the fact that RK was a jackass to MB from the start and this was a forced sham of a marriage.
You ask how this show is different. This show is different if they have the guts to follow through on what they've been showing so far.I've said this a few times this week here. People complain about the abuse shown and how the couple has been ruined for them. For me it's the opposite. I'm glad this has finally been shown for what it always was. I hate these jackass love stories where the guy treats the girl like dirt. I had no hope for this show either. All I saw was that Mukund the nice guy would eventually be screwed over and the RK-Madhubala love story would begin and people would root for it and go ga-ga over it. Despite the fact that the way he supposedly married her was outright APPALLING.So for the creatives to show this so called love story which started out in a demeaning manner in the first place, playing along with the ridiculous, false romantic notions that that seem to be popular in serials, and then shattering it--that is no small thing, and deserves some credit. If they keep up with it, then that's how this show is different. If they continue on showing this for what it is, and they don't end up showing RK-Madhu as some true love story.People will take offense at my post, most likely. I've never posted my feelings outright like this other than privately to some friends. But your post just made me say this.
