You are right, hate is a pretty strong word.
I don't hate Sultan but his character just plain irritates me and I pray daily to TV Gods for his exit from the show. I never could trust a guy who is too goody goody or changes in the blink of an eye from being a gangster who points a gun every 2 mins at a woman (which he did 3-4 times when he entered) to giving advice on how a woman is to be treated. Also the CVs trying to shove the goodness of Sultan and Sulbala down our throats everyday does not encourage RK and Rishbala fans to give him a chance and appreciate the character. I am sure he has a lot of good qualities, but being a RK fan i guess I just plain refuse to see those. Leaving a few people who truly look at both the characters with an objective eye, every fan has that unique quality of turning a blind eye to the good qualities of the other character, the bad qualities just seem to jump out and shout look at me look at me, hence the wonderful complimentary posts that we find in the forum 😆If we are talking about real life, I have yet to find a guy who would waste 6 months of his life on a revenge by marrying or contract marrying a girl and treating her like a princess (after the spot and studio incident of course) and also saving her from death and not consummating the relationship. What happens in real life in the name of revenge we all know.Yes I am one of those who would always want Rishbala, I hate third wheels in a show and in real life too. I am not even going to try and justify RK for all the humiliations and his devil may care attitude regarding those, he was wrong and he will have to suffer and pay for those and yea to me RK is still redeemablePS. Sorry if I was rude in any way, just trying to put forward my POV.PSS. Sorry for the long post too
I didn't find your comment rude in any way. I'm glad you explained your viewpoint so clearly. I am beginning to understand the division of this forum. You are right I can't expect everyone to look at the characters objectively. This is down to the individual person. The CV's have done a marvellous job brining out RK's bad qualities which I can't ignore even if I wanted to. First impressions on Indian TV series between a male and female character are rarely ever good. Sultan and Madhu are no different. Him using his son as bait isn't really an act of heroism. He pointed the gun at Madhu because she was running away with his son (unknowingly) and then she called him handicap. These were all first impressions but then he got to know her as time went by and has tried to help her when she is in trouble. Likewise Madhu got to know Sultan and began to appreciate him after originally disliking him. This is one of the reasons why I like Sultan-Madhu scenes. If they would have shown RK and Madhu after RK was redeemed I wouldn't mind seeing them together. But that's not what happened. So just like you and I'm sure others feel "irritated" with Sultan and Sulbala, I feel irritated watching Rishabala. I still enjoy watching RK scenes whether they are with Deepali or Bittuji. It's just that I can't stand his behaviour and the "let's forget everything that happened in our little nok jok and go back to being husband and wife" attitude.
As for real life, we don't know everything that does around in marriages. Be it contract marriage, plotting revenge for 6 months, pretending to love your wife saving her from death and not consummating etc. But knowing very well that the woman you have been playing has completely fallen for you and is ready to leave behind everything including her family to be with you, and then shattering her like we all show on-screen. Not just that, expecting her to remain broken hearted and humiliating her again and again is out right emotional abuse. I hope no one ever finds a guy who treats a girl like RK treated Madhu (during and after the revenge track). Like I said in my post, this is a fiction show so it's certain that CV's will eventually bring Rishabala together. I just feel now is not the right time because RK hasn't accepted all his mistakes he is just trying to turn back time which is impossible. In the meantime, amidst this negativity Sultan and Aryan make this show feel bearable, hence I enjoy his scenes with Aryan or Madhu.
