Okay, so I finally caught up with this one.I love the way yout have with words. The feelings were beautifully expressed throughout this work and I have no issues with the way it ended. Considering that the whole thing had a very real feel, a happy end would've not sat well, not with me at least.
😳 You flatter me too much😳 Holy crap!! there is a wedding party outside my house. I have not seen a baraat in Canada for so long, I almost forgot what it looked like. Shiny clothes.
Back to your comment: I agree with the ending. The tone should be in sync with the rest of the story.
Not that I don't love happy endings. The romantic in us always wants every thing to end on a good note, but is that really true in life? There's pain around and it's only fair that it be portrayed as well.
Great job with this one, Jazz!

thanks :) yes, I am a hopeless romantic, no change of a cure. if I find the Rishabh that resides in my head, I would name our babies before I say hi.
Okay, back to judging the groom.
