i read al ur parts in one go...it was awesum 2 read al ur parts...u gt a v good knowledge regardin whateva u write...whether its related to art or whether its related to climbin, etc...super excited for rest of da parts...wud love to c more of rishab and madhu...loved Adam and Abby as dey r da best of frenz...loved sikhander's character ova ere showin brotherly love towards his sister...😊

Wow just as I finished updating the latest update I realised that I have completed 40 chapters so far. When I started writing this FF on a whim, never expected to go that far... 😲

But I guess my motivation is you guys who read and like my FF and leave your fantabulous comments.. 🤗

Chapter 40

Rishab glanced over his shoulder when the girls approached them, laughing about something. "Whatcha think that's all about?" he asked his companion. "Probably nothing we really wanna know about." "You could be onto something there."

"Hey, guys," Madhu greeted the boys when they got back to the fire, feeling much better now that she had talked to Abby for a while.

Adam nodded in greeting. "I think we should call it a night, what say Abby?" Abby glanced at her watch. "Yeah its getting pretty late and I'm beat." she yawned. "Bye you two. Good Night." "See you in the morning." Saying their goodbyes they both headed to Sikander and Deepali's tent for the night.

"I guess its cue for us too to go catch on some sleep. Big day tomorrow." Rishab said getting up and stretching.

Madhu knew that her friends wanted to leave them alone again to give them another chance to talk. And this time she decided come what may, she will say what she has to say. But preferably out here where they were less likely to stray off course.

Madhu leaned back against a rock and continued to stare at the fire. She was trying to gather her thoughts and frame coherent sentences in her mind so that it doesn't sound gibberish when she actually starts talking.

Rishab stopped walking and looked back when Madhu didn't follow after him. She seemed deep in thought and didn't want to interrupt her so he quietly moved towards her and leaned against the rock besides her.

When she finally shifted closer to him and leaned her head on his shoulder, he said, "Your best friends love you a lot and look out for you." "They do, don't they. But it gets pretty annoying at times, especially when they meddle around and put you in an awkward position."

He grinned remembering the tent scene earlier in the evening. "We could always strand them up here." Madhu smirked. "Nah, I need my best friends with me."

"I like your friends. They seem like good people." She nodded. "They are."

They both remained silent for a while. Finally when the silence began to get to him, Rishab reached out for Madhu's hand and said, "I'm glad you decided to stay."

She dropped her gaze to their intertwined hands. "I hope I'm doing the right thing," she whispered.

Rishab turned towards Madhu. "Just give it a chance, Madhu... maybe I don't have the right to ask you to do that, but right or wrong, that's what I'm asking here."

She was so tempted to lean over to kiss him at that second but they were just beginning to discuss things, so she had to stay away from him. Instead she just squeezed his hand slightly.

Madhu rested back against the rock again and closed her eyes briefly. She felt dizzy from nothing more than his simple touch.

Rishab could see the desire in her eyes which he wished he couldn't read as his mind was going places which would only lead to more complications.

Luckily for him, Madhu pulled him out of his thoughts. "Rishab, could we just be friends." Seeing the pure terror in his eyes, she clarified. "Just for now. Till we get to know each other better. Things have been moving really fast and we haven't even gotten a chance to think about it rationally." She gazed into his eyes trying to figure out what he was thinking. Would he be angry at her for making such a suggestion? Would he think of her as a novice in matters of the heart and decide she is just not worth it?

When Rishab saw her hopeful eyes looking at him, he smiled and cupped Madhu's face leaning in to plant a kiss on the tip of her nose as an answer to all the questions she had written all over her face.

"Come on, let us get into bed so that sandman can do his job. What say friend?" Rishab nudged Madhu in the shoulder. As they walked back to the tent, Rishab silently prayed to God asking him for the strength so that he could keep to his word to Madhu. Being in this close proximity to her was already making him hard.

"Ya wanna come in?" Madhu asked when she saw Rishab hesitating in the entry.

Rishab just knew he had a stupid look on his face. "Well, since the other option is sleeping out here in the snow..." he started with just the slightest hint of sarcasm coloring his tone. "or maybe with Akash.." he ended by making a face at the thought.

"Everything okay?" she asked. No, he muttered internally, everything is not okay! But he only forced a smile and wondered if a guy could suffer permanent damage from having a hard-on that wouldn't quit. "It'd be really great if you'd move your ass before my nuts turn blue and fall off... it's f**kin' cold out here in case you've forgotten." Yeah, he was on the verge of a serious case of blue balls, but it wasn't from the cold!

She lifted one eyebrow. "Uh-huh, we've spent the last couple hours outside and NOW suddenly your nuts are gonna fall off?"

He was starting to get cranky but he couldn't help it. "Oh, my God, Madhu, would you just move?" She rolled her eyes and moved out of the way to let him in.

He just threw himself down on his sleeping bag and tried to think of anything but the woman next to him. Madhu searched around her pack to find a new pullover to wear and turned her back towards him and started to pull her clothes off when she found it.

Rishab couldn't stop his eyes from following her movements even though it was only making things worse for him. "What're you doing?" he rasped as she got closer and closer to revealing skin.

"Changing clothes, what does it look like? Do you mind?" she asked and made hand actions for him to turn around. He swallowed hard and turned away but couldn't brush off the image of her perfect skin under his fingers. His eyes widened when he heard her unclasp her bra and he scrambled to grab his toothbrush and bolted.

"Where're you goin'?" Madhu turned around slightly, holding her pullover across her upper body to cover her breast.

To jerk off and hope my dick doesn't end up frostbitten, he thought, but refrained from sharing with her. "Brush my teeth," he answered back still turned towards her, fumbling for the zipper on the opening.

"Okayyy," she said, wondering why he was acting weird.
