I am not a hindi speaking person may be that is why i found it wierd, I have noticed in other serials girls always addresses their elders as aap so i just wanted to clear my doubts.

Thankyou very much for your reply so it just indicates a close relation ship thats it. RK and all others cal each other aap so i thought maybe they belong to different social classes and it also influence them. Its just that i watch too many hindi serials and found this 'tuuu' very wierd. Thanx my doubt is cleared now

Hum log Maa ko 'tu' karke hi bulate hai

Its just a sense of very close relation like a friend that we can sare anything with her...not with other relations
