I heard her call her this by the river also, when she asked Paddo if she understood what she was saying when she asked her to remove her mangalsutra, I felt a bit like you, then I thought the dialogue writers have given Madhu a lot of influence to fix all the problems in the show, like the previous show I used to watch also the lead actress was a jack of all trades. However, in that show Gopi was more bend down on her knees and beg for the saas to do something speaking softly and politely but the dialogue writers give Madhu a different approach to dealing with all the problems she is more bossy and self assured...possibly that's why they didn't want her to ask politely rather to tell the mother...you know what mum it's time now to put these away.

I have a doubt about why Madhu always refer her mother as Tu,Tujhe,Tum,Tere etc. I mean usually children cal their parents as Aap, Aapko , right? I thought By calling Aap is kind of giving respect to some one. I am not a hindi speaking person but i studied in my primary classes that children have to cal their elders using Aap. Madhu cals radhaji Aap, but calliing Paddy TU. I feel like slapping her whenever she uses tu.. Pls help me i cant differenciate.

I think Madhubala thinks her mother is also a friend than a mother. I don't find it offensive.

Thanx for ur reply nafs. Its not only yesterday, she always cal her mother and roma like that. I thought its kind of disrepect but from these replys assume that its just an informality.Madhu consider Paddy as a friend may be that is why calling her like that. I cant even imagine the way she discussed about loving RK to paddy. Its cute but i cant do that. May be Paddy is her only friend. Both RK and Madhu doesnt have friends. Anyway i was also a fan of SNS. but not following these days.

i think when show was started i raised same quesiton many friends post that they have no problem i feel not good because madhu alwasy says too tum to her mother but her sasu ma she says app but real problem is that trisna always says aap why two sister living same home one came from villange her background or environment was not good but she alwasy says aap and at last paddy says aap she never say tum to any one how only madhu says too or tum she should change her habbit during shooting for her mothre some time she said aap too but she use to say tum.

Addressing the mother as 'tu' just implies informality, not disrespect.😳

It is the usual way to address the mother, because it is often the less distant and formal relationship than with the father.😊

Madhu respects Padmini a lot more than Radha.😳

But Radha is her saas, so formality ki vajah se 'aap'.
