RK ran up the upstairs and literally busted in his own bedroom. "Madhu where are y-
RK's breath was cut up short when he noticed Madhu lying on the floor, her face pale as a bed sheet and her forehead covered with sweats. "BIWI!!", RK shouted and ran to her beside. "Biwi, biwi,", RK kept patting Madhu's cheeks in an attempt to wake her up.
"Bhabhiji, Chief's phone is turned off. I think I'll go to the set to persuade to come back home. Oh Chief, you came!!!!-and what happened?!", exclaimed Bittuji seeing an unconscious Madhu in RK's lap.
"I'm suppose to be the one to ask YOU that!! you knew she was still fasting for me, then you should have taken care of her!", shouted RK." Forget that for now, give me a glass of water quickly!"
"But Chief..then you'll be breaking her fast!", Bittuji stammered
"So isn't that what I'm supposed to do for Karva Chauth anyway??", RK was confused.
"Yes but after looking after moon and performing the rest of the rituals..."Bittuji's words lowered down to a whisper with the are-you-kidding-me look RK was giving him. " Uh yes but of course, that doesn't matter! what's most important is that you are the one to break her fast and that Bhabhij is ok!"
RK fed madhu the glass of water and he was relieved when he saw her lips starting to move a little bit. "It's settled for sure now. I was thinking before that i might have overreacted about all this Karva Chauth. But looking at Biwi's state, I'm not going to allow her to ever fast again!", RK fumed to himself.
"Chief, to be honest Karva Chauth is not the problem. I mean think about it, thousands of women have been fasting every year, so there's no need to be so harsh on Bhabhiji. You should've seen how happy she was fasting and putting mehendi on for you!", Bittuji insisted.
"That doesn't matter! What's the point of her being so happy, if it's going to affect her own health!! Oh so she wants to make my life longer and hers shorter in the process!! Can't we just both live as long as each other?!", RK retorted.
"Chief no the thing is Bhabhiji didn't eat enough in the morning, that's why she's like this now. After all how could she have possibly eaten all of that food that Deepali tampered with!", Bittuji cried.
"What? What the heck are you talking about? What did Deepali do?", RK questioned.
"woh Chief, Deepali found out yesterday that Babhiji was fasting and ( Bittuji narrated the whole fiasco that happened)" So that's what happened", bittuji sighed.
" Yeh deepali ki to mein!!! How dare she!" RK was furious and couldn't control himself any longer. He wanted to wait for his biwi to gain consciousness but he was also dying to set Deepali straight." Bittuji I'll be right back. Please look after Madhu AND call me AS SOON AS madhu wakes up, you understand.", RK said.
"Yes chief, i promise!", Bittuji replied and RK proceeded downstairs to give every single member of the Bhatia especially Deepali a piece of their own cake!
(The whole scenario that happened downstairs. Please read part 2 if you haven't to know what's going on 😃. now we'll continue back to RK's perspective where he ran up to see Madhu after Bittuji informed him that she's gained consciousness)
RK: Biwi!
Madhu: RK you came! and bittuji told me that you broke my fast! I knew it, I had full faith that you would complete my Karva Chauth!
RK: Madhu you...RK couldn't understand her. Even after going through all that hassle and pain, Madhu's face was shining with a bright smile like a child opening a christmas present! Oh well at least she's fine and happy now, thought RK.
Madhu: RK come we have to fulfill the rest of the rituals!
RK: what? what's the point? I already broke your fast.
Madhu: NO! I want to do everything that all wives do. Anyway, the best is looking at the moon and then at your husband! That's the part I was always fascinated with since i was a kid! Let's go!
RK: Biwi-
Madhu: No i won't hear it. you came even though you claimed that you won't and you even broke my fast which you also claimed that you'll never do. So what's the problem now? we might as well just do everything, right?
RK could see that Madhu wasn't going to budge and by now of course he knew how stubborn she is. After all whose biwi is she, RK thought while smiling slightly.
RK: Ok Whatever let's just get this over with, so i can finally have some peace.
Madhu beamed at him, her eyes sparkling with joy and her lips curving into the biggest smile ever.
Okay, so that's about it for today. I know i made all of you wait for long, so I hope that his update is satisfactory😊 I will update part 4 tomorrow as soon as I can as i have no classes 😛
