madhu didn't talked to rk during the whole journey back to delhi. even annie also sensed that something was wrong between two , so she decided not to ask any question as she didn't wanted to upset her mummy.
next day the news somehow spread to media. madhu was afraid to send annie to school as she knew paparazzi would follow her.
madhu and rk didn't came across each other for two days as madhu was on leave. she didn't wanted unnecessary questions or people staring at her.
in the evening :
madhu was in kitchen when annie came to her.
annie : mumma.
madhu : (who was busy cutting vegetables) what annie??
annie : mumma it is my birthday next month.
madhu suddenly realised that she had totally forgotten about her princess's birthday. how could she forget the most important day when annie came into her life. when she was in pain for six hours untill she heard the most beautiful voice - "her first cry".
madhu : oh sorry dear !! i completely forgot about it. so how many friends you wanna call??
annie : no one.
madhu : (shocked) but why??
annie: i want a present from you. and i promise i will not ask for anything else.
madhu : (curious) and what that??
annie : PAPA!!
madhu froze on her spot. she never wanted annie to be a part of all this.
madhu : and who told you this??
annie : i know it mumma. i know rk uncle is my papa. i saw your photos in the party that day and badi ma told me eveything. i even told papa but he asked me not to tell you as you were angry on him.
madhu : (angry) what?? and you are telling me now??
annie : (starts to cry ) please mumma!!
madhu : i don't want to talk about this annie.
annie : please mumma !!! call him once. i want to introduce my friends to my papa.
madhu : i said no annie!!
annie : if you will not call him then i will him.
madhu : dare you call him!! and this is the last time i am telling you otherwise i will give you a tight slap.
annie : (crying)i don't like you !! i love my papa. he is not like you. you are always angry on everyone . that's why papa left us.
saying this annie ran downstairs to her society's park. madhu fell down on her knees and started crying bitterly . now even her own daughter didn't supported her. she was afraid to loose annie. that's why she didn't wanted to come across rk.
it was about 8 pm and annie still hadn't returned home. madhu searched for her all over the society again and again. she even informed security guard at the gate of society. she also inquired at home of all her friends. badi asked madhu and called rk . she didn't told him anything but asked him to come as soon as possible. with every minute passing madhu was getting restless. badi maa informed police.
when rk entered madhu's house he saw her sitting on sofa with her her face cupped between her hands. it looked as if she was crying from past one hour.
rk :madhu !!!
madhu saw rk and rushed towards him. she tightly hugged him and started crying uncontrollably.
rk : what happened madhu??
madhu didn't respond.
rk : (shakes her) what happened madhu ?? where is annie??
madhu : annie...(again starts to cry)
rk :(tensed) what happened to annie??
madhu : annie...annie is missing since evening.
rk :what??
madhu : i looked for her everywhere. she had a fight with me in evening and thereafter she went to park. but she hasn't return till .
rk was shocked to hear this. his heart broke on seeing madhu so broken. he had promised to keep her happy but he failed.
rk : but where can she go?? she didn't even told me anything.
he asks bittuji to contact dcp and asks to search extensively for annie.
madhu : please do something . bring her here. please rk.
saying this madhu faints but rk catches her just in time. he then lays her on the bed and calls doctor.
a little later doctor arrives and tells them that madhu is emtionally stressed and weak. he asks them to feed her.
rk goes to her room to find madhu getting out of bed.
rk : (stops her) stay there madhu. you need rest.
madhu (pulls his hand) : is annie back??
rk : no but we are searching her.
madhu please eat something . you are not fine.please.
madhu : how can i rk ?? how can i when i know my daughter has eaten nothing since her lunch??
rk : i am sorry .
suddenly the madhu's phone rings and rk picks it up.
rk : hello??
caller : superstar rishab kundra.
rk : (angry) who is it??
then he hears a voice across other end which he they were longing to hear.
annie : papa!!
rk : annie!! (madhu hears him and rk puts phone on speaker)
annie : (crying) papa it is very dark here!!! i don't like it here. please come and take me. (sobs)
madhu : annie?? where are you??
annie : i don't know mumma. these uncles are very bad. i am afraid mumma.
madhu : (crying) don't worry dear. you are a brave girl.
annie : i miss you mumma papa.
rk : don't worry annie. we are on our way to take you.
suddenly the phone goes silent on other end.
rk : hello ...hello?? annie are you there?? can you listen me??
madhu : annie : say something.
caller : hello madhu beta.
madhu froze at that man's addressal . she was hoping it to be one of her nightmares but perhaps she knew that person.
