Part 1

"Eternal Ones"

Back in Dr. Hemsworth's office...

"I honestly don't know where to start." The old man paced along the boundaries of the floor. "I knew I'd have to tell you one day, perhaps I should have practiced."

"Start with the most basic thing?" Madhu suggested.

Beau was this close to pointing a gun to his head so he could hurry this up.

"Well let's start off with the fact that this isn't your first life on this world."

He gave them a moment to let it sink in.

"What the hell have you been smoking?" Beau got up outraged whereas Madhu just sat there, frozen. "I told you this guy is a nutjob," Beau said grabbing her hand and heading for the door.

"Wait." She stopped him, her weight fixed on the couch. "I think... he's right."

"Oh come on Madhu, don't tell me you believe this crap..."

"Beau," she finally looked up to him, "I think he's right. Because in all of my dreams, everything is so strange, so old. And it's not all imaginative, if I were to paint a memory of my dream and compare it to something from the 1920's it'd probably match. Everything, the clothes, the buildings, it was all so outdated." She recalled.

Beau rolled his eyes and sat back down, mumbling to himself.

"Now I know this is hard to believe but I know this for a fact and that's because of something that leads me to our next point. The Ouroboros Society." The old man ruffled through his hair. "It once used to be a ragtag yet untainted society where all of the Eternal Ones came together."

"Eternal Ones?"

"Eternal Ones. Those who have been reincarnated."

"And you know about this because?"

"I too, am a member of the Ouroboros Society. In my past life I was Dr. Grehik, a close friend of Dr. Skidmore, the man who created this society in 1923. It's always been a... rather quiet club in the sense that it's not secretive, but definitely not very advertised either. In short, those who believe they have been reincarnated, can find this society if they were curious and researched a bit. You my dear, are the reincarnation of Constance Whitman. You possess the gift of having the same form every birth, which is why you were so easy to recognize. I remember what the Ouroboros Society used to be before you and Ethan died..." the old man sighed.

"Ethan?" She asked as the name, for some odd reason, pleasured her tongue.

"He was the son of Dr. Skidmore, well the adopted son. He was a good lad. Everyone had high hopes for his future, including me. Dr. Skidmore had two more children, also adopted and both Eternal Ones, I guess he adopted them as his own wife and children had died when he was very young. One of his adopted daughters Rebecca, was swooned by Ethan, but of course Ethan only had a heart that beat for you.

He had a gift, of remembering everything from his past lives. Most of us have short snippets of memory, but he remembered every little detail. But this is all I knew of him, there might be more, that Constance knew but of course, Constance aka you don't remember anything other than a few snippets of your past life that run through your eyes when you dream."

"And telling me this is important because...?"

"Because there's one last thing about Ethan you should know..." the man rubbed his temples, "Ethan had, or so it was announced, killed Dr. Skidmore. It was shocking for everyone of the Ouroboros Society, it left them speechless at how Ethan could kill the man that treated him like a son. And shortly after that, you both died and Rebecca and Adam took over the Ouroboros Society. Now after so many years of such horrible maintenance, the Ouroboros Society is a corrupt society that is no longer run for the Eternal Ones, but is basically a den for illegal activities.

But I, I always believed that there was something wrong about this whole fiasco. I refuse to believe that Ethan really did kill Dr. Skidmore. There has to be some truth that has been buried behind this old mess, and only Ethan can fix this. And we need you to find Ethan. All this time I've been a humble member of this corrupt society only because I wanted to be aware of what's going on with it, but we need Ethan to save this dying society from corrupting any further. Only he can save Dr. Skidmore's dreams and recreate a safe place for The Eternal Ones."

"And what do you expect her to do about this?" Beau got up defensively refusing to believe the nutjob.

"Beau, calm down now." Madhu stroked his back.

"Ah, Mr. Hathaway there is something very minor but interesting that involves you too."

"Trust me I am not the least bit interested," Beau brushed him off but still listened.

"Do you ever wonder why you're so protective of Madhu? Why both of you were considered imbeciles of our society? Why fate had it that you both were best friends?"

"I'd like to hear your theory on this."

"It's not a theory Mr. Hathaway, you are the reincarnation of Joseph Whitman, Constance's older brother, whom she was very close to. I believe you weren't a part of the society and this is your first cycle of reincarnation. Perhaps because you have a purpose in this life- to take care of Madhu, to protect her, to be her friend. And that's probably why fate had it that you are gay, and not attracted to Madhu."

Beau took that in for a moment. Surprisingly this time, he didn't argue with the Doctor. "Alright so maybe he's not a total nutjob," he murmured.

"Beau your adorable!" Madhu pecked his cheek. "Anyways, how am I supposed to go about this doc?"

"I would start with travelling to New York, Gramary Park is where the society headquarters are. It's in NYC but it's the nice quiet, and rich parts of town. I have an apartment there which I could lend to you, find a job, get comfortable with the place. Try to consolidate your dreams, use your surroundings to remember your life as Constance and search for Ethan's new form. I don't recommend joining the society but if you must... lie about everything. Do not tell them that you are the reincarnation of Constance at any cost. It might be difficult, they are intimidating people, but stand your ground. You may be able to use them to find out about who Ethan is in this lifetime but use it as a last resort. Good luck to you Madhu," Dr. Hemsworth finally finished.

"One last question. Will the dreams stop if I find Ethan or whoever he is in this lifetime? Because as much as I present my dismay for them, I honestly hold on to them for my dear life. Now I know why, they are my only memories of Ethan. And I don't want them to stop." Madhu asked.

"I don't know Madhu. But once you find your Ethan, I don't think you'll miss them too much." Dr. Hemsworth placed a gentle fatherly hand of her head.

"So, what are you going to tell your mom and your out of wack sister?" Beau helped her pack.

"I made up some story about how I really want to become a fashion designer. I mean she did make me get a bachelor's degree in home economics, or in other words sewing. And I think this whole fiasco is a great chance for me to get a move on with my life. I can't just sit at home with a degree and do nothing all my life can I?" She explained.

"Hey," he grabbed her hand and pulled her close, "What about me? Are you gonna miss me?"

"Oh Beau!" She hugged him. "Of course I'll miss you."

"That's it, it's settled. I'm coming with you."

"What?"

"You heard me, I'm. Coming. With. You. You're using my uncle's pickup truck to drive all the way up to New York anyways, I think I deserve to come with you in case you crash it."

"Do you think your dad will allow it?"

"My dad couldn't give a crap about me," he spat out.

Damnit! She pressed a wrong button.

"I'm sor... Beau! You know I didn't mean it that way..." she whined.

"I know, now be ready at 7 am tomorrow morning. We'll pick up the keys to nutjob's apartment and then New York City baby!" He seemed excited.

"You seem more anxious about this than me Beau!" She joked.

"Well NYC can get excitement out of a turtle if it must," he leaned over to her cheek for a goodbye kiss headed for the door of her room. "Bye Madhu!" She heard him yell out before the main door shut.

"Ethan..." she sighed in contentment, "Let's see who you are... this time."

Meanwhile in Manhattan Island...

"Superstar RK has just entered his New York Apartment and was welcomed with a large number of his fans, mostly female, outside his apartment. The kind star signed a few autographs and took a few pictures and then made his way inside. We will keep you updated on his stay in NYC and don't miss our exclusive interview with Superstar Rishabh Kundra this Thurday only of CBS2NY." A news reported spoke into the camera outside of the actor's New York City residence.

Inside RK just mumbled to himself, "And they ask why I kept the stoned mansion a secret. A man needs a place to retire in with ease and before he can face a 1000 screaming girls."

However he always scanned the crowd in the hopes of finding her, but alas he never did see her beautiful face in the crowds. What was the point of being an eternal one if he didn't couldn't find her?

One day, he convinced himself. One Day.

A/N: I hope this answers some of your questions. I explained quite a bit, sorry if you found it monotonous but I tried to make everything about the explanation interesting. Don't take anything that was mentioned here lightly, every single word is important and will play a role in the story. There are many important things to take note of in this part. I might post an analysis of this part so you guys catch the important points. I hope you enjoyed the story so far!

Gosh! Shweta! I had to cath up with this and I had to sleep, but when I received your PM I decided to read everything in one go. And I am so happy I did! You write so well! Normally I get irritated when I still don't know what is actually happening, but you writing, I don't know what it is, but just reading it makes me so happy. So weird. Your way of writing is so special. Just perfect. And everything is so good, so well planned everything just fits, like a puzzle. Beau being gay, the explanation everything. Love the story. Can't wait for more updates!

OK now it makes sense. But I have to say I would never even attempt writing something like this because the concept itself is so very difficult to handle. And yet you manage to carry it off beautifully- Kudos Shwetu👏
