Haseena has me so confused!

Like I have said in my other posts I love all the characters of the show because each of them brings a certain amount of versatility and diversity in their personalities and then all of them get united for a single goal and that is crime-fighting. The bonds between Haseena-Karishma, Karishma-Pushpa, Pushpa-Santosh-Cheetah, Haseena-Pushpa, Haseena-Santosh and everyone's with Billu is so so special. However, if I still have to pick a single bond that I adore to the core is Haseena and Karishma bond. I am in absolute awe of the friendship but I must say the majority of that love I have is due to Karishma and not Haseena. The utmost love and respect Karishma has for Haseena in her heart is just something that cannot be expressed in words. Yes, she had her days when she hated Haseena's guts and her Jazbaat rap song and that is completely understandable because both stood for different things. That's why Karishma is pleasantly flawed and yet loved. But, even in those times, upon realizing her mistakes she has apologised and even in her anger not once did she allow any third person to say crap about Haseena and has beat up humans black and blue if they dared to do such. Karishma's reflexes have always been praiseworthy and even though usually Haseena's ideas are good, as a police officer I often found her lacking in reflexes and fast decision-making skills. In rough and tough situations or any sticky situations, I found her to be too emotional and not being able to make a better judgement of the situation. One very good example of this is the planned attack at the Jankipuram thana by Karishma. Karishma very concisely proved her point that jazbaat doesn't always work and I agreed with her. Had Haseena pulled the trigger first, the scenario could have turned out differently. Another instance was when Santosh and Haseena went for the rounds (during the time that KS was quitting), They managed to obstruct the bikers but despite one of the goons right in front of Haseena, she is so relaxingly reaching out for her gun giving ample time to the goon to attack. What was she thinking? The goon will wait for her to pull out the guns? Had Santosh not been there, her face would have been smashed. these are just two of the instances but there are so many more which clearly show Haseena doesn't know how to react in such sudden sticky instances and this risks the lives of others around her in most cases, it is usually Karishma who faces the full brunt of it.

Anyway, putting that aside what is frustrating me to the core now is how even now as Urmi, she is so unreactive. She is coming out more of a weakling than before. when those two stooges of Captain appointed the gun at her, she was frozen on spot. Her expression was as if she didn't know what to do next. There was no sign of a monologue or expression of what next if Anubhav had not come there which is basically another miracle of him reaching there and shooting the goons in such a filmy style. I am still not over how badly this scene was executed starting from Haseena saving Anubhav, the eye lock and then Anubhav shooting the goons. Following this, Urmi aka Haseena's desperation to seek Anubhav is annoying. Her calls and swooning are making me frown. What is she expecting? To get ditched the third time, maybe on her wedding day this time? Haseena came out much stronger for herself and her self-respect when she was betrayed by Anubhav the first time and the way she had asked him to go was just fire. but now she seems to suffer from mild Stockholm's syndrome. She is repeatedly wanting to get back with Anubhav and has conveniently forgotten that he left her waiting at their engagement. Also, I don't remember Karishma or Anubhav mentioning to her, why he left so where has this sudden sympathy and forgiveness for Anubhav risen from? She has started to confuse me as a character too much now but am helpless because I still love her, her expressions, her humour and everything else. I promised myself, I will not look for logic but the scientist in me ends up making the same mistake with every ITV show 😆

Funnily enough, the most hilarious thing that I have watched time again on the show is how careless these officers are. They just leave their gun lying around here and there. This is not the first time that someone has randomly picked the gun from the table and made them do their bidding. Kya hai yeh yaar? 🤣

At the end of the rant/ opinions/ thoughts, I just wanna say, a friend like Karishma Singh in life is worth cherishing. The girl defines friendship and sisterhood like no other. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Any comments or thoughts anyone?? Tagging few but everyone is welcome to add to the post 🤗

Ohh what an amazing analysis of Haseena!
I hadn't ever noticed Haseena's slow reactions, but it makes perfect sense now. They're a default side effect of her jazbaati thinking, because her extreme ideology forces her to calm down and think 10 times before taking any decision. And though that works with complicated unsolvable cases, its absolutely unacceptable for police to work like that in do-or-die action situations.

And I'm glad you brought up Urmi! Because her jokes may be funny and audience may be loving her attitude, but I can't appreciate any of that when she behaves so inconsistently. She came back in disguise to find the criminal so then why is she time-passing in thana cases. The Haseena [who once criticized Karishma for not having a well-thought plan before a mission], as Urmi her only plan to catch the criminal is to get kidnapped and almost killed again. How could she not realize the danger and stupidity of that plan, even after Karishma took that bullet to save her from those goons. Nope, after that she still went out more times with the sole aim to get ambushed. In the second attack, it was Anubhav who had to risk his life to save her. So her stupidity put herself plus 2 amazing officers' lives at risk, and she has 0 regret? Instead, like you said, as soon as she finds out Anubhav's innocence all she thinks about is expressing her love and handing the whole mission to him. All that drama just to pass it off, what did she contribute to the mission besides being a threat to her near and dear ones?

I have a weird love hate relationship with Haseena too, because I absolutely adore the acting but I can't stand the character's decisions for the life of me.

Speaking of Kareena, I cannot agree more. [Copying bits from my reply to another post] I only ship Kareena for Karishma's unconditional love and dedication to her MS, regardless of how much she hates Haseena's melodramatic jazbaat. Rewatching some of the initial episodes shocks me at how stubborn and egoistic Karishma seemed, and I think none of us enjoyed watching that disrepectful side of her. But she was willing to fail, change and grow, and like how! The way she has appreciated MS for changing mindsets, the way she has made MS her mentor, the way she essentially worships MS now - its truly heart touching how someone can let go of their strongest ideology for another person's happiness and wishes. For the Haseena part of the bond, I think she merely adores Karishma's dedication as a friend and appreciates her passion as an officer, but nothing crazy. I await the day when Haseena begins to consider Karishma one of the most important parts of her existence ("how will I live without you" types like Karu has been saying in every other episode these days). Need a track flip in the future, how Haseena would handle Karishma's death (hopefully not by just consoling Pushpaji and moving on with the help of some robot)

Rip I've spent pretty much all day analyzing this show...you're right idk why I keep looking for logic in itv huh

I feel that my twin wrote the entire thing because am genuinely in the same boat.🤣 The love and hate relationship with Haseena is inevitable. 😆

I am dying to literally see the same passion and overflowing love from Haseena's side towards her Karishma Singh. I want to see her go insanely crazy in trying to save Karishma from a risky situation. Not the calm calculated reaction. I am done seeing suppressed love from Haseena's side. She loves Karishma, no doubt about that but I want to see it explode even if that has to happen as Urmi and just for once I really would love to see her fighting the whole world for someone who does the same for her without any deductions. Seeing that human level of Haseena would be such a treat. Also, There better be a lot of making-up from Haseena's side after the truth of Urmi being Haseena comes out. She better not be let go off easily. I need to see the angst between KarEena 😆

Straying away a bit, tell me something:

What happens when the killer is eventually caught and Haseena Mallik re-instated?

Karishma Singh, inspite of ALL that she has endured, fought for, risked her life for, efficiently run a Thana will ALL go down because she stands a risk of being suspended or even worse for bringing an imposter and bribing her. Infact everyone us the thana is risked, her more for being the senior officer. I doubt anything will happen to Haseena. May be a promotion for fighting terrorists?

She risked her job and her passion for Haseena. Can someone be so selfless?

Another instance i cant seem to forget is when a man refuses to give his wife's passport and both reach the thana. This is when Karishma Singh was posted at Janakipuram. Haseena Mallik used an audio recording of Karishma's voice on Santosh's mobile to arouse fear in the man to solve the case. Still she does not believe in Karishma's methods? Really? Then, dont you think she shouldn't have used the audio either? It is the fear of consequences that made the man retirn his wife's passport not any other realisation or Jazbaat.

Anyway, the bottom line is that the show has tremendous potential as long as no one point of view is made to be supreme/perfect.

Arre you guys writing such deep stuff, I think I'm gonna end up spending my whole night on this show too 😆

Again, never thought about the whole imposter thing. I think I've started forgetting basic police protocol with all the senseless stuff we're getting lately. But damn right, how can one be so selfless!? After Maddam Sir died, Karishma said to Pushpaji that the sole purpose of my life hereon is to find the murderers at any cost. Now I realize how deeply she meant that. Not just risking her life, but risking her job, reputation, personal life, everything. I honestly am only watching the show to fall in love with Karishma's standard of friendship. What I would not do in life to find a friend like that.

And amazing example of the recording! Haseena has mentioned a few times that the thana needs Karishma, Karishma's help is important to solve the case, etc. But she has never ever said that Karishma's way of doing things is needed, that a case wouldn't have been solved without that bhaukaal. You say you love her as a person, can you just once say you love what she does, for you and for society?

We can see after Haseena's death, that although she managed to make Karishma calmer and more jazbaati, she could not make Karishma independent and confident. Rather, now Karishma is in a brain fog all the time cause she can't work the laat way she was originally confident in, and she's still not ready to independently think the jazbaati way. A great leader is one who can create new leaders...Haseena turned a leader-type Karishma into a brain-dead follower of Urmi. That is huge failure.

I think one of the main reasons we are even more annoyed at Haseena currently, is because we are seeing how much has Karishma Singh broken down. First, she had to witness her maddam sir in a bloody state and her death scene with her very own eyes. We have seen how that scene brought her nightmares. We are also seeing how incompetent she is feeling because she is not able to get her maddam sir justice and more so, she along with Santosh, Pushpa ji, Cheetah + Billu have staked their everything just to get their maddam sir justice and punish all who were involved. Even Billu and Santosh managed to keep this secret so well. We witness Karishma breaking every moment and questioning her capability and Haseena being right there is just shedding tears and not telling them the truth despite knowing that they were not part of the traitorous mission. Anubhav entered and saved her life and Haseena is all head-over-heels ready to tell him everything and give him the pen drive, and here Karishma has time and again saved her but Haseena still hasn't found her trustworthy enough to convey the entire truth. So does Karishma Singh have to die in order for Haseena to realize her worth? Haseena has so conveniently decided to hand over things to Anubhav but the person who has been sticking with her through thick and thin and even went ahead to point the gun at her own brother for breaking her maddam sir's heart is not even deserving of the truth? This makes Haseena seem so ungrateful and a hypocrite when she tells Karishma that it will be only her solving the case.

@Bodhianveshika: that passport scene was one of the very good scenes that proved to Haseena how effective Karishma's bhaukaal is because despite her superiority the husband took her so lightly stating that she won't do much with exception to giving lectures. Also, the planned attack by Karishma was a good and effective scene too. Time and again Karishma has proved that there are some "laato ke bhoot jo baato se nahi maante". but I guess at such moments it's either Haseena's arrogance or what that makes her deny the facts.

@Anee2: Agreed, while Haseena always went with the conventional "Hume aap par pura bharosa tha Karishma Singh", she has not once acknowledged Karishma's method that got the work done and I feel bad about it too. Karishma's selflessness is being disrespected by Haseena even though it is not intentional. This is why I want Karishma to be super pissed at Haseena for keeping this huge secret from her. And not just Karishma, I want the entire MPT to give her the cold shoulder for her lack of trust in those who have proved their love and respect towards her time and again.

So good to hear you both! Thoroughly enjoying this convo. Such pertinent points, perspectives.

Truth be said, somewhere we ALL have a Karishma waiting to erupt and we are happy to see someone who echoes with us. We are hurt when she is taken for granted or hurt.

There was a time when it was said "Aurat hi aurat ki dushman hoti hain" because now "Aurat, aurat ki sabse pakki saheli bhi ho sakti hain" who holds you when you fall and supports you in your efforts.

@bold: same. It's better to discuss on a forum more open to opinions and healthy discussions than on Twitter where there are just stans who would not hear anything against their favourite and just try to troll others POV. Twitter is one scary place. 😆😆

Debating is healthy but trolling is not! It's sad when people don't see the difference between the two and start imposing their beliefs and ideologies onto others.
