Well said! Completely agree on both points! Vrushali was DEFFO better than Vaishnavi in the solo round. I was shocked to see the judges giving her 7s and even more shocked to see SHIAMAK DAVAR trying to teach classical technique to Vrushali who's an accomplished classical dancer.....laughable😆.....poor Vrushali also had no clue where his random comments about elbows and whatnot were coming from😆......Vaishnavi has done better lavnis than this in the past....ek toh the UV lights totally made the act fall flat and even other than that, I feel her expressions have been better than this in her past performances....so I wouldn't give this an 8 or higher scores than Vrushali.....no ways. Vrushali was extremely elegant and her moves were smooth and on beat.....I dunno what Shiamak Davar was babbling about.
And totally agree about Prince having the edge on Dharmesh in that act....I thoroughly enjoyed the act overall cuz they are both superb dancers.....but Prince edged D out in this one.....he just had an extra sort of spark to him......you've described it perfectly......his moves were crisper, sharper and stiffer as was the requirement of his style. Also I feel he did a better job than D in expressions in some bits as well......especially the nautanki bits of the act😆
Thank you! Shiamak was criticizing her hand movements and footwork!! 😆 Even in terms of expressions, Vrushali was much ahead of Vaishnu.. I like them both, but talking from the dance pov.. Vaishnu has done awesome performances before, so expect much more graceful performance from her, and proper expressions too.. Expressions are critical for Lavani, and the dance steps are more folk style and not modern kind..
I would like to see a face off of Vrushali and Kruti for Bharatanatyam, then hear what Shiamak would say to each one!!! 😆
