@shwetha di- this is a gr8 post wow very well said i agree wid u word to word @ shooting in tight timings- di i was recently at fb wen my news feed had a comment by kt dat oh how boring two days off I was shocked to read dat and was thinking how cud they be shooting on a deadline and having off in weekdays *strange* Oh again the show going off air news Nah puhleez i hate them they jus spoil up my mood and i cant enjoy lnmdj @gharelu track- plz if this benefits the show in anyway i welcome it @new shows- in a new year article by hindustan times it read two new shows startin on star one One is paheli and other is a laughter show Ah i m jus scared i cant afford to lose lnmdj,karan,perneet Its the only show i watch and no other show can hook me up like this.

something i'd like to add -

If the show could have been promoted when the revenge started,i think that would have been great.Honestly i NEVER watched lnmdj before the revenge track - it got interesting ever since balraj's death,which got me hooked to it.

Secondly - I DO NOT GET THE FUNDA,FIRST STAR ONE SAYS THEY WANT TO TURN BT,NOW THAT THEY HAVE TURNED LNMDJ BT,WHY TAKING IT OFF AIR?WHAT DO YOU WANT?YOUTH OR BT TRPS????

thirdly - i have to add,there are some faults in LNMDJ too.I was super duper excited when SaVni got married,the preggy track was also oh-kayish types,but i think prida turning pati patni,no offence guys,it didn't feel like a youth show.1 marriage and baby are e n o u g h!

fourthly - ila dying was the most stupidest twist ,, but it could have been promoted well which could have boosted the trps.

----now the fault of star one where they had a chance to boost the trps =

1)revenge track.
2)savni marriage track
2)savni preggy track
3)prida marriage track
5)savni ka betrayel ====== best twist.
6)boys getting to know the truth
7)avni suiciding
8)lui getting to know the truth of brothers
9)lui telling damini her truth
10) lastly - Ila dying.

So 10 big twists have been der so far (feel free to add more) .. 10 great opp. they missed.The cast and crew did a wonderful job,look what they get -- fans like US.
but ONLY IF it could have been promoted.
Oh what a show it could have been.

I think it would be b e t t e r if star one pulled of DMG MJHT OR JPSYA.
dmg = lived its life
mjht = useless
jpsya = OK THIS IS WHAT BUGS ME.
WHEN STAR ONE WAS TURNING BT,IT REMOVED HDHAA , NOW IT WANTS TO REMOVE LNMDJ,OK AGREED DMG N MJHT ARE QUIET POPULAR BUT WHAT ABOUT JPSYA?????LNMDJ IS SURELY A BETTER OPTION THAN THAT ISN'T IT?! I AGREE U WANT TO TURN BT,,,,,,,BUT WHY CLOSE GOOD OLD SHOWS AND CREATE NEW-NON-BT ... WHAT THE USE???????????????!!!!!

I think you have a point there.. not use of blaming the channel if the PH is not ready to co-operate... But the thing I'am not able to understand is that Shakutalam Telefilms also gives a very hit show like NAIDL.. I see the promos of NAIDL on Colors regularly.. if the PH has time to shoot the promos of NAIDL then why can't they shoot the promo of LNMDJ too.. ok agreed the shooting schedule is very tight.. but alteast they can edit the scenes from the shown episodes and air it on channel as promo right.. to clear the doubts that LNMDJ is still on air... I don't know who to blame as you said - Wat wud channel do or get by stacking the promo videos of the particular show.. I so much agree with you..

You have a point shweta if this track is giving good trp's we should support it.And regarding the PH i always had a feeling that they were the ones causing the problems.Look at the new interview saying they were disappointed that LNMDJ didnot create a general impact but it is a rage among youngsters.I mean LNMDJ is a youth show so its not like the usual saas-bahu crowd are going to watch it,is it?

But what do we do about the production house? As to Starone will go ahead with the calls and the mails.

The one big hope is that we have faced and successfully come out of such situations many times in the past.So there is no reason why it should not happen now.

For some strange reason I am feeling positive .....Keep the faith.

Excellent post Shweths! thank you for the info... so the PH is behind the lack of promotion... not surprised..! i have noticed star one does a fairly good job in promoting other shows.. so i always used to wonder whats wrong with LNMDJ..! as you said that the show is maintaining a fairly good rating of +4.. agree with you what it could do if properly promoted.. and i also agree with you on the bashing part.... the show is not going THAT bad... the essence is still there somewhat.. actually i think these new characters are bringing prida and the other couples closer.. imagine if they had not intervened would damini ever would have hugged prithvi and recognized him as her sole anchor of support... i understand her character fairly well i think.... i dont think there would have been much progress... seriously.. problems have a funny way of bringing the most distant people together.. and prida need it BIG time.. so guys... leave so +ve feed back as well with star one... you dont want the show to end do you?

Shweta, it is the channel that refuses to do do it. I was talking to Gautam Hedge and here is what he said:

i only write screenplay, which is written after the story is decided.
as for promos, that is the channel's decision on which properties they want to promote and how.
we are trying to reach a wider audience by making it massier.
also, at the end of it, a show will run only if it gives trps. so, its not the case of just for the sake of trps. all i can say is that the basic romance wont go, other characters, other drama will keep coming and going..
