The following is completely my interpretation and assumption of the current situation
, so yes i can be completely wrong or completely right about the following or
more likely to be somewhere in between...

Lack of Promotion by Star One:

So far we have assumed it is the channel that is not doing enough in promoting the show, but then this is a channel which does a fairly good job of promoting all its shows..be it Nach baliye, the laughter ke phatke or its current shows on air...

So why is LNMDJ being made an exception...

Think back to the beginning when LNMDJ started..

I didnt watch the show from the beginning but always saw the promos of the show and after i started watching, i remember we used to go nuts discussing the new promos..(ahhhhh, the good old days, how we miss them😭)

Anyway somewhere down the line the frequency of the promos reduced and now it is ZERO...

We then found out that the episodes were being shot in tight deadlines, so say a wednesday episode would be shot on monday or tuesday..add the post production work etc.. by the time the episode reached the channel there was barely any time left for any sort of promos....

Now this was a show which was shot atleast shot 2 weeks in advance....

so how and why did the shooting pace get so drastically reduced?

We dont know....😕

Let us be Fair to Star One..

Like i mentioned above, star one has its own set of problems, lack of reach maybe advertising budget we dont know the whole inside story..

.but it has so far done a commendable job of promoting its show fairly well...

And it has done a decent job of taking in our suggestions and implementing them to the best of its ability:

Few instances that i may quote, now u can argue they are coincidences, i leave it upto u...

Did u know that media once found it difficult to get on site interviews cos of lack of co operation not from the channel but from the Production House (PH) and when pointed out the same to the channel, they immediately took care and now u might have noticed we get fairly decent regular interviews of the cast..

The negative publicity the show kept on getting at its own site or in other press releases, again when pointed out, i believe it was addressed swiftly..

We wanted a special interview for 100 episodes, the media was invited wasnt it..and we got our interview.

Guys the point is the channel is trying its best to accommodate the fans request maximum possible, yes may be it can do more...but will come to that later...

All those who have called star one might agree with me that when the lack of promotion thing is pointed out the standard reply is the request will be passed on to the PH..

Obviously this promoting a show is a joint effort and cannot be done by channel alone..

Tell me guys, honestly how is it possible for the channel to promote a show, if it does not get promo scenes or episodes in advance?

The channel will not stock them right, i dont think they do barring the episode that needs to be telecast...

they can only request for promos but it is the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PRODUCTION HOUSE to shoot the promos or edit the episode scenes or something and make a promo and send it to the channel...

Maybe just maybe and i am not accusing anyone here just pointing out the possibility that the Production house is not exactly being proactive or cooperating with the channel for promoting the show..

The channel would obviously like this show to go places, did u guys know that the concept of LNMDJ is actually a Star One Concept..

It is its own concept which is why i am sure they are making every effort to make this show a success...

The PH did not approach star one with this show i think it was the other way round..

Star one must have approached the PH with the concept and Shakuntalam Telefilms must have agreed to produce the show..

so can we give the credit for LNMDJ to the Star One Channel please....

They deserve it and i think they are trying to give as much support to it as they can...atleast i would like to think so....

LNMDJ as a show

And i dont care what anyone says, LNMDJ is a BIG SUCCESS...This show has managed to survive with all the negative publicity, zero publicity and has managed to lure its target audience fairly well...

Dont believe me fair enough....this is broadly what Shyamashish Bhattacharya of Shakuntalam Telefilms has to say, that he is disappointed that the show has not done well despite it being a rage among the younger audiences....(quoting from an interview of his on another portal)

So my question to Mr. Bhattacharya is simple...how does he expect the show to do well with zero efforts from his part?

The show has reached so far on its own merit thanks to the hardwork put in by the entire team of LNMDJ and the fans support and i think star one has done its part too, cos i dont think it would have survived so long without the channel's support...

So who is to blame?

Both...i guess.

Star one cud have gone for a better production house for this show....u see the other shows in the channel get prominence or promos cos their respective production house take that extra effort and the same cannot be said of this PH can it...

The production house Shakuntalam Telefilms cud have opted out if it was no longer interested in doing the show and promoting it...it looks like both are for some reason stuck in a forced relationship and

we the fans are the ones who are suffering...

So next time you want to blame the channel ensure atleast half or more gets passed on to the PH too...😡

Future:

I have no idea It pains me that such an amazing show put together by an awesome group of talented individuals in all departments is suffering because of a tussle between the channel and the PH...

The gharelu track well i dont have the exact figures but apparantly the show is maintaining a decent 4+ rating and i think it is on the rise...

Remember it has achieved this with zero promotion..

.imagine the heights it would reach if it was done properly...

Unfortunately the above is being imagined and believed by us fans and not the Channel or PH...

TRP GAME

Again all of us have very little idea on this...but guys atleast 50% of the people who watch the show do not come into to the TRP game..I for one know that atleast 10% of the show comprises of South Indians living in south india or settled abroad...that wont get reflected in the TRPs..😕

There are many of u who live in US, UK, Dubai, South Africa who watch it on TV or via You tube...again that figure wouldnt matter in the TRP Game would it...😕

And it is a business....they need to make money...so if the gharelu track works brings them increased ratings and the moolah...i think they will rightly continue...

But here is the thing.....if the indication are anything to go by...the same gharelu track will be handled in a classy LNMDJ sort of way and not BT way and that i think we can be assured of..

Yes it is a youth show and it has captured the imagination of the targeted audience..if by gharelu track they can bring in more audience which can help the show, should we really be complaining so much..

Take the actors for instance, my guess is that they too might not be exactly happy about the track change..but they are not letting that affect their performance are they...the same goes for the behind the scene department ...the last 2 episodes have been good...

As FANS let us be supportive

so when the ppl involved are putting the same effort probably more, cant we be as fans show some support and give credit where it is due...

As it is the show is suffering....imagine the scenario if the powers be decide the youth thing didnt pull in the required numbers conveniently forgetting that it is majorly their fault and the gharelu track with the negative feedback is not working too, they might decide to can the show...😕

So guys let us be supportive of the track...
it benefits the show it is good na...
If it does not harm the jodis then it is okay na...

Unlike BT where jodis get completely ruined...here so far atleast that has not happened...

THE USP of the show, the 3 jodis are still intact, the essence is still there...so let us hope for the best...

If u can call the channel and most importantly call or mail the Production house (if anyone has their contact info that would be really helpful) to let them know about the lack of promotion or the annoyance with the gharelu track but let us not leave the show when it needs our support the most...

And let us hope for the best😃

Wow! This is an EXCELLENT POST. I would love to join de bandwagon, so if anyone can tell me via PM whom to email at the Channel and Production House to show support for the show then I will do that:) As I agree they have so far done a fav job of keeping the jodis together

Agree with everything you stated.

Since this show is a star one concept...they should see that it gets proper focus which would mean make sure the production house works accordingly..they need to ensure promos are aired.

I have a doubt so the entire storyline that is thought of..I mean the creatives are part of the channel or the PH? Or is it that both work together there is input from both sides? I'm guessing both.

Star One began with this concept of a youth show...the PH gets in new faces to act out these characters (Have to say they did a brilliant job in the casting because we love all the actors)..it's all supposed to be young and fresh story to grab the attention of viewers which would be people in the age group of say 15-30...they are highly successful..this forum bears witness to that fact.

Then for some reason or the other we got this article on Tellybuzz that star one is planning to revamp its image go in for a more general family oriented type..and immediately the rumors of axing Love ne..

Right about that time or a little earlier when the revenge twist was on.....in some other site where they used to give out trp ratings of star one shows..can't help but compare with the other shows that LNMDJ's trp used to be a 3.4 compared to MJHT which used to be 4.1...in all fairness MJHT has been airing for more than a year now i think...Love ne was just barely 4 months old then...very wrong to say that Love ne has not been popular..

So is it the channel or the PH which is more concerned about the trp's?..they decide to change the track.. which did disappoint us as fans because we liked the show the way it was..we even tried to think maybe this is to bring in some lighter moments into the story since it was turning very gloomy and sad..

Alright since things have already changed..we are willing to adjust with it..but then focus on other things..a happier storyline...i mean the show started as romantic thriller kind..it can be made into a romantic comedy one..no harm in that...and you never know this would be liked by a slightly older and wider audience too..I am sure starOne is a channel made for the urban audience it can't suddenly decide to cater its current shows to a rural audience..thats just absurd.. The channel and PH have to work things out..strike a balance between the story, trp factor gaining revenues etc..as well as keep its loyal fan base happy.

Agree with you completely Shweths about us fans we should support anything that is bringing some good to the show..so yes as long as no harm to the jodi's then its definitely ok! We want this show to go on!

Will continue to email the channel..as for the PH just like ash and achu..i tried finding info about the PH nothing at all..no website..no email..no telephone number too!...

Wonderful post Shwetha, it was really needed. From the day 1, when we visited the LNMDJ set, we knew that problem is/was with PH, not the channel.

I dont get the reason that why they dont want any other news channels to come and cover the footage?

Even first we had hard time, dont want to discuss here, but thank God finally they gave us permission, and we covered as much as we can.

I will definetely gonna find if the news is true or not, and try to convey fans request direct to the PH manager.

My fear is PH-Shakuntalam Telefilms boz its not that wel established Production house.

I have browsed last night for the PH contact details,hardly I have come across it even afetr browisng for 2 hrs. How come,they do not have a website either? (If someone comes across, plz let me know). I did not find even the postal address or office contact #.

They are trying big things on big platters i.e, bigger channels for their new shows like Devi on NDTV and NAIDL on Colors for which they need huge amount to do all these shows in parallel including LNMDJ which is on air,theyneed loads of funds for all these.

You do not beleive,Shakuntalam Telefimshave some of their soaps going off air within a period of 3 months.Hats off to LNMDJ and Star One for surviving long without PH efforts.

I can say,the actors of LNMDJ and Star One has good rapport clearly.Example,Gautham Hegdeand his team ,they appears to work more foractorsof Love Ne more than the PH.

I feel actors of LNMDJ will give run for the money to have this show on air without expecting much from PH.PH can keep their payments for themselves(KT,CS and PC are wel settled,dont now much about rest of the cast )and plz let the show go on.

We never had promotions(initial ones were Star One's promotion) ,out of the other soaps under yourbanner Love Ne is treated as step child always, no enough costumes for actors,no big sets for celebrations,no song sequences like other shows,no outdoor shoot either,I can go on with the list.we dont care for all these coz we have survived without all this for last 6 months andwe can survive in future too.One kind request to PH,plz let the show stay.

Better I stop now,before I lose my control.

thanks for the post.. dear...u along with eksie are always the sane voice.. keeping all of us hyper ppl grounded or at least trying to...😳

here's my two cents

-- Since the epis are being shot at the last min.. why can't they take one week off .. and get a bank of epis ready...

-- During the one week off, they can show gists of all that has happened so far in LNMDJ... and A LOT has happened in the last 6 months..

-- This would get some of the new fans .. either comng from the new GK show or just plain new semi-interested crowd hooked onto the show,,

-- regarding us YT users.. it is true, channel doesn't get much from us... though I am sure we do try to get our family back in india to watch..they can be a little more innovative

-- they can put up the epis on their website and have a paid subscription .. say 5$/month... something reasonable.. coz lot of youngsters (read non-working gals/guys) watch this show...

-- If this concept was Star1's to begin with and if they are not happy with the PH, why can't they get some1 else who would be more willing to pay LNMDJ the attention it deserves..

It is very disturbing that we fans have to suffer coz of some ego tussle between Star1 and PH... hope they sort it out like big guys...

wow that's really great analysis shwetz...yeah we can't blame anyone altogether now....now as long as the show stays for longer time...i don't care abt promos too.i mean we should hav something concrete to say something...see in case of "hum dono hai alag alag"...they made it open before 2 months only that the show is going off-air but with lnmdj....they just keep rumours milling...soo disgusting.without these promos and promotions our suspicions will raise even more.hmmm
