Prateek had prepared power of attorney documents before his death & made Amrita in charge of everything. Gaurav takes the papers to his lawyer, Mr Shroff. When Shroff opens the envelope, all he can find is an old newspaper inside. Gaurav takes it to Kabir & tells him everything. Kabir says that it's easy to catch the person who did this as the newspaper has a solved crossword on it & he can match the handwriting samples to know who did this.
At the Grewal house, Kushan continues to pretend like he's insane. Kabir shows up & questions Meghan about the newspaper on which she had solved the crossword puzzle. The handwriting samples determined it was her. Meghan recalls that she was solving that puzzle when she had visited Swaika house. Sonali came to her & gave her a xeroxed copy of Prateek's POA & told her to give it to Lavanya. She left the newspaper next to Sonali & came home to give the documents to Lavanya. Kabir enquires where Lavanya kept the xeroxed copy of original POA. Meghan replies it's in Lavanya's safe upstairs.
Lavanya meanwhile, is at the Board meeting at the Swaika office. The board members decide to appoint her as the new CEO. But, Amrita arrives at the last minute & raises an objection to their decision. She tells them that she wants to become the CEO as it was Prateek's last wish & that's what he wrote in his POA. She shows them the original POA. Gaurav & Lavanya are shocked to see the original documents with Amrita. Lavanya asks her how she thinks she can hold such a position without any relevant work experience & education in this field. Amrita replies that Prateek must've thought about it as well- and still he made the decision to appoint her as the CEO, so they must follow what he wished for. Amrita admits she's inexperienced but says that she's willing to learn. Lavanya remains adamant & says that the company is not a training institute where she can be tutored to become a CEO. No one agrees with Lavanya & they all vote for Amrita instead, as she's the major share holder now. Lavanya walks out of the conference room furiously.
Kabir visits the Swaika office to meet with Lavanya & question her regarding Prateek's missing POA documents. Lavanya rudely informs him that the original POA documents are with Amrita already, so there's no point in bugging her for those now.
Amrita walks in her new CEO cabin & misses Prateek. Kabir visits her & enquires how she suddenly decided to become the CEO. Amrita replies that Prateek wanted this. She tells him that when she returned from Kashi, she received a courier containing Prateek's original POA documents & she's just respecting his decision to fulfill his last wish. Kabir looks at the documents which were sent to her via mail. She also shows him a letter which accompanied the courier. It reads, "Dear Amrita, Lavanya didn't let these papers reach you as she knew you'll be made the CEO with these. You must become the CEO as this was Prateek's last wish. Yours truly, Well wisher". Kabir is confused as to who this well wisher could be. He tells Amrita to do whatever this well wisher says as that's the only way they can determine his true intentions.
At the Swaika house, Meghan, Aditya & Trisha play spin the bottle with truth & dare. The bottle stops at Aditya. Meghan asks him to propose to one of them. Aditya first goes towards Meghan but then returns to Trisha & goes down on one knee & proposes his love to her. Aditya says that he can't live without her & he starts dancing with her. Meghan fumes with jealousy & anger & excuses herself from the room.
Lavanya returns home to find Kushan & his nurse unconscious. She also notices her safe has been opened. She thinks they've been robbed & goes to check the file containing her picture of shooting Trisha. It's still there & she heaves a sigh of relief. The doctor arrives & determines that Kushan & his nurse passed out from chloroform & they'll be fine after some time.
Kabir is informed about the burglary incident at the Grewal house.
Sonali comes to know about Amrita being appointed as the new CEO. She's shocked. Gaurav also informs her that Amrita has the original POA documents & Kabir may come over to question her. Sonali is scared & admits that she hid the papers as she had struck a deal with Lavanya of her being made the managing director (MD) in case Lavanya succeeds to become the CEO. Gaurav chides her for being too greedy.
Amrita returns home. Aditya & Trisha congratulate her but she says that she doesn't want to become the CEO but is doing all this since Kabir wants to catch Prateek's murderer through all this. Aditya is shocked for a second. Trisha says that she must continue with her CEO post as Prateek too,would have wanted the same.
Kabir searches for clues at the Grewal house about the 'well wisher' who stole the documents from Lavanya's safe & sent them to Amrita. He finds nothing crucial there. Lavanya is annoyed with Kabir meddling around. Kabir politely tells her to cooperate as someone is using her as a pawn in all this. Kushan smirks & thinks how they have no idea about what's happening.
The next morning, Kushan hears Lavanya talking to Sonali on her phone. Lavanya says that Amrita will be forced to return to her rightful place-that is, Swaika's house's kitchen. Kushan walks in & starts acting crazy. Lavanya is forced to hang up. Kushan recalls how he had found Prateek's POA in Lavanya's cupboard one day. He was happy for his wife but he accidentally dropped an envelope which contained a picture of Lavanya pointing a gun at Trisha. Kushan recalls how shocked Lavanya had pretended to be when she had realized Kushan had kidnapped Trisha. She had lied to him that she fell asleep in his car. So he feels that Lavanya's concern for him was fake & she tried to trap him instead. That's why Kushan has now turned against Lavanya & has decided to ruin her. It was him who faked the burglary to take out the POA documents. He put chloroform to nurse's nose (from behind),& then after mailing off the courier to Amrita, inhaled some of that chloroform himself. That way, it looked like they were robbed & no one suspected Kushan.
Trisha calls Aditya and asks him to take her out for coffee.
Late at night, when everyone's asleep, Prateek goes to the computer & prints out the next set of instructions for Amrita. He writes, " Dear Amrita, my next advise is to offer the position of joint MD to Sonali. Prateek would have been pleased". His plan is to torment Lavanya as Sonali would be promoted to a higher position than her.
