Hello All!🤗

I'm just sitting here, listening to my favorite song Jabse Tere Naina from Saawariya, and I started thinking... This really is one of the best shows on television.
Don't believe me? Below are 17 reasons why.

1. It's realistic. This show deals with real people, real life situations, and how people cope with them. It deals with things as sensitive as rape, discrimination, abuse, un-faithful husbands, and more. Saas-Bahu sagas make a joke of all this stuff, and make it undigestable and completely fake.
2. It has good a good cast. Ladies Special's cast is filled with wonderful actresses, both veteran and well known.
3. There's no funky camera angles. People's faces aren't zoomed in and out twenty times, it's as if it's being shot directly from a camera with no editing. Well that isn't completely true but still... *Giggles*
4. This is a show everybody will watch. If we still had Sony and Zee [we switched to DirecTV because my family members are cricket addicts] I'm sure my parents would watch this show. My dad is a professor and a sort of social worker. He for one would love this show, as it deals with real people and realistic. \
5. It touches your heart. At the end of every episode, your heart feels warm and fuzzy, and you can immediatley relate to all the characters. There are no agneeparikshas, or any of that silly melo-drama. This show has seriously kept me hooked throughout it's time. Initiallyduring the first few I thought I'd leave this forum, but I proved myself wrong.
Couresty Rainabow:
6. No silly superstitions that have no place in the 21st century

7. Women look normal! None of those heavy saris, heavy makeup, and heavy jewelry.

8. The show depicts regular working class families who live in average homes, not those ridiculous palatial mansions on other serials.

9. These ladies actually leave their house, have friends, and earn a living instead of staying at home all day and all night doting on their husbands. When they decide to remain at home, it is a CHOICE, not because everyone expects it.

10. The characters have distinctive personalities. Most serial heroines are dull, boring, and utterly the same. Vidya, Bani, Saloni, Radhika, Laali, and all these other Zee heroines are basically the same person: sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice.

11. No vamps that plot against people for no reason whatsoever.

12. None of the usual joint family drama thank god
Courtesy Sunaina02:
13. The cast is excellent. Each and every character has been made vivid by the actors/actresses. Once the serial is over, you do not feel like doing a special hero or heroine worship because you dont know whom to chose. All are excellent.
14. Very good editing and combination of the different stories and the way they are interwoven into one.
15. No stupid plastic surgery or punarjanam or any other melordrama normally found in SB serials
16. No black and white characters- all characters have shades of grey.
17. Touching different aspects of an array of social problems. Solutions to the problems are also quite realistic
Do post more reasons, and I'll be sure to include them in this post. Lets try to get 25 reasons, or 50.😊

Oh, Nikasha, can't agree more with everything you said. The show is simply amazing.

Shilpa and Neena are THE BEST. Not melodramatic at all. Shilpa's character (nanda) is just so REALISTIC, have no words for the same. at the same time, shilpa's acting is so realistic. be it her loving nature, her moments with her husband, or her day to day frustrations of a mother. KUDOS TO SHILPA.

I like the other plots as well. Ashita Dhawan as bubli is very good and so is payal sarkar as pooja.

I really don't need to say anything about Neena. She is a veteran and the best in the industry.

Keep going girls.

This is he best show ever. I completely agree.

You people have already mentioned the main reasons.
let me add or elaborate a few
1. The cast is excellent. Each and every character has been made vivid by the actors/actresses. Once the serial is over, you do not feel like doing a special hero or heroine worship because you dont know whom to chose. All are excellent.
2. Very good editing and combination of the different stories and the way they are interwoven into one.

4. No black and white characters- all characters have shades of grey.
5. Touching different aspects of an array of social problems. Solutions to the problems are also quite realistic
However i have an appreshension about this Trisha character. I hope she doesnt spoil the whole show .

Absolutely agree with everything that is said here! What I really like about this show is that the "vamp" is life - true, believable, heartbreaking situations that life throws at us, we feel every single person's heartache, we feel their frustration because it is something we can relate to...someone we love having a friend we don't approve of, money problems, abusive & cheating husbands....
I have a feeling Trisha is going to bring out a side of Shubha that Vasu hasn't seen...a truly patient, loving & nurturing side which will eventually win Trisha over...thus melting Vasu's heart...I am hoping this will teach her to value & appreciate her mother, most of all to respect her...sorry if I went off track here..LOL!

I agree with most of you.
This shows touches some very sensitive issues and they are dealt in very professional manner.
It shows working women which you normally don't get to see in other serials.
This show is very close to real life.

The only negative if you can call it one - lately no Pooja since last few episodes as she not been reporting for the shootings. A replacement is being looked into. She is a very fine actor and I hope the replacement is at least, as good as she was/is. This show is worth watching!

i love this show too, deals with real life issues and it hits home. it really hits you hard, the acting is amazing. i really like pooja too, i really hope she doesn't leave, has anyone heard if they are still trying to work things out or are they for sure trying to find a replacement? I don't know why she would leave if the show is doing so well.

yea, i agree with everything said..
another reason why i like this show is because, well, it kinda teaches me about stuff..
like honestly, im only been to india 3 times..and all memories are hazy..and well, this show makes me see how the women run their daily lives..
also, it gives u advice..
like we all can learn from some of these "human" mistakes the characters make..
like shoba pampered vasu alot, and now look at her..
and babli has everything on EMI, and she's paying for it..
nanda tried to force her will upon Geeti, if she had spoken kindly, geeti would've never started a friendship with jassi..
and pooja, if she had spoken up about her husbands two faces, then she wouldnt have gotten beaten so badly..
from shoba, we can learn not to pamper our kids too much..
from babli we can learn not to EMI everything LOL, but yea..
from nanda we can learn that kids react better with kindness( well most kids)
and from pooja we can learn to be independant and speaking up for ourselves..
i really like this show..
