Episode ~ 244

25th December 2010

Naku.. driving

Dutta's transport arrives.. the headlights dim and he looks across at the jeep hardly visible in the dark. where the hell were you kale? he chastises the driver. Baji sheepishly pops his head out of the passenger seat and then slowly jumps to the ground. Dutta is not amused to see him and then he sees Naku behind the drivers wheel and she to disembarks and faces Dutta's displeased face..the fire , of love symbolically burns between them.. Dutta growls at Baji ..with regards to Naku driving, so now you have forgotten to drive too..? Baji pipes up courage and gives his defence, Bhau I had to come , as soon as Naku knew you were here ..she figured your life was in danger and like a crazy person she took the car out and dashed out ! I tried to make her listen but she wouldn't, so I had no other choice but to accompany her.. Dutta looks at Naku and figures out hopefully.. this girl has yet again risked her life to rescue me.. he recalls, she had left his room with the words ,till you don't accept me as your wife and ask me yourself.. I will not return to your room and here she was playing with her own life to save his.. Dutta moans, I only asked for transport not help.. if someone wants to offer help then it's up to them! Baji looks crestfallen as he sees Dutta has disregard Naku's dangerous effort! and he turns away. Naku who is cold goes up to the mountain where Dutta stands.. she faces him , the fire burning between them. He stares at her in silence and she stares back at him intrepidly ! each waiting for the other to speak first.. Baji watches and reckons best to leave them to it and does a disappearing act.. Naku breaks the silence, Saab, the jeep is here, so let's go home.. Dutta continues with his silent stare. She stands shivering in the cold.. tries to cover her bare arms with her pallu..he watches.. and recalls how he took care of her and covered her with his waist coat in the forest.. and he walks to her , looks down at her, takes off his waist coat and puts it around her shoulders.. helps her to put it on.. and then in a sulk turns his body partly away from her.. Naku looks at him and reflects, why do you avoid looking at me Saab? does your heart not desire to look into my eyes? Dutta turns his face slightly to her then his whole body.. he stares into her eyes and moves to her staring deep into her eyes. and very slowly feels the jeep's keys in her hands and slowly pulls the bunch out of her hand! but continues to stare.. then moves down the hill to his jeep . Naku looks after him and reflects, why don't you speak up what is in your heart Saab? ..and eventually follows him down to the jeep.. he sits in the driver's seat and Naku sits beside him.. and they drive off.. leaving behind the hilltop and the fire Dutta lit.. this fire perhaps rekindles what they already have but Dutta in particular denies.

Another jeep scene Naku driven by Dutta in the dark.. silence prevails between them , as does the cold war. Their silence, poses unspoken yet felt questions.. Dutta muses, why do you always return to me? what do you want to prove? Naku too reflects.. saab you avoid looking into my eyes, because you fear , that I might read what is concealed in your heart.. Dutta reflects.. it's you I think about Naku.. the danger you took on on my account.. and I do not accept this. Naku reflects, why don't you accept that this is love! that you are safe I am anxious for.. and I am unharmed you are aware off.. this is love .. Dutta reflects, love? and that too with a deceitful woman? don't dream of this Nakusha! for it will be shattered! the Nakusha that I loved is not you.. her complexion may be dark.. but her heart was pristine white.. you only know how to entrap me by your beauty.. you are the lying Nakusha! Naku reflects, if I am a liar then why do you care for me? why don't you just banish me from your life? close your eyes Saab..you will find out which Nakusha your heart sees... while driving Dutta closes his eyes briefly, and sees the FB of the fair Nakusha during their wedding night.. coming before his face.. her face, partly revealed and partly in a shadow...and Dutta brakes to a halt alarmed.. their jeep surrounded by pitch darkness![ the darkness is the confusion of Dutta's mind] Naku asks, what is it? why have you stopped the car? Dutta in silence looks around, he appears lost! nothing, I think we have taken the wrong path.. he looks behind, and then reverses his jeep.. till he finds the correct direction that will take him and Naku home , to Patil Nivas ..

Baji reports to AS

Baji shouts Aye Sahib! Aye Sahib! she turns up and asks the excited Baji what the matter was? she asks about Dutta and Naku if they had arrived? he says no.. she says , don't tell me you left them there? Baji explains, that he couldn't be there as three 's a crowd! Baji explains, that today he saw Naku in a new role! as soon as he knew Bhau's life was in danger! she didn't think twice! just got hold of a jeep and took off! yes Aye Sahib! she became a lioness! Look Aye Sahib our Bhau too is a lion! and only a lioness can take care of a lion! .. the thing is Aye Sahib, we have always seen and considered Naku vahini , as docile and timid! Aye Sahib, that girl is a daredevil! she can go to any length for Bhau! Aye Sahib !when Bhau saw Naku driving the car... he told me off and I was scared he'll beat me black and blue! but he remained silent , he was only concerned about Naku!, they just stared at each other silently.. but I understood! that very soon there differences will be resolved! and that Bhau too is becoming soft hearted so I thought we should make use of this occasion and celebrate the season of love! for Bhau and Naku! Aye Sahib.. you just deal with Dutta , and I'll organize the rest .. Aye Sahib much excited says, don't you worry I shall persuade Dutta! Kala overhears Baji's conversation and fumes! But she glides towards, her mother, who says to her daughter , she is much delighted today!as their wishes are fulfilled!

Kala & Sudarshan

Kala tells him off! says, you told me you sent kedar with a car to bhau? well Dutta and Baji turned up there! you are so full of your self! Sudarshan is surprised and he asks, how is it possible? Kala yells you knew a corpse was to be placed in Dutta's car, you should have used your brains and taken another car with you! now look what has happened Dutta and Nakusha had the chance of being together. again! how did Nakusha and Baji get there in the first place? Kala shouts, Sudarshan says, it's that Baji's fault he always meddles, can't we get rid of him? and Kala says. I'll tell you when Baji will be booted out! he is an important piece of this game! I will make good use of him then destroy him! and don't you make more mistakes again! she warns Sudarshan who is sore as he gets a telling off due to Baji !

Sudarshan & Baji

Dutta and Naku arrive to a set up bonfire party.. the whole garden is lit up with red, blue and clear fairy lights.. all look up as Dutta's jeep arrives .. Baji yells Bhau and vahini have arrived! Dutta and Naku sitting in their jeep look at the lights tongue tied... they alight from there jeep and are greeted by Aye Sahib and Dutta asks, why the happiness and the celebration? she says, it's for seeing you..and Dutta says , but after work I always come home so what's the big deal? she says .it's about seeing you two together after a long time.. that's what we are celebrating! Dutta gives Naku a sided look and she returns it.. Baji beams with pride and Kala fumes with hatred! Aye says you look lovely as a couple! Dutta says I'll go now ,and Aye says, yes go and freshen up.. we are waiting.. and he leaves.. Aye Sahib takes Naku, dressed in Dutta's waist coat. Sudarshan picks on Baji.. Baji rao patil.. your new job of doing domestic chores really suits you! have to say, you can arrange parties very well..why dont you start a catering contract, it'll be good for you! arranging the food , setting up the bar... Baji gives him a dirty look.. Sudarshan taunts, but if Bhau doesn't come then all your hard work will go down the drain! but mind you , you'll finish it off .. Baji says, Sudarshan Bhau you are older then I am.. and are the son inlaw.. what does it matter about me?I am just a menial servant of this house, why speak to me? servant? and you? sneers suds.. have you forgotten you are unemployed! who is Bhau's right hand man? it's me! and you are a kitchen hand! Baji replies, I am more than happy to work in the kitchen, because I am not looking to fleece Bhau! besides you are Bhau's BIL since five years, Bhau and me have been friends since twenty years.. and the less you talk about Bhau the better.. Sudarshan says, no Baji, you two are not friends any more... when dinner's ready, call me! Sudarshan mocks.. and moves on, while Baji mouths silent cusses at him.

All wait for Dutta to return. Leela and Roops points out and Aye Sahib volunteers to get him.

Dutta's den

Dutta sits on the corner of his settee, deep in thought. Aye turns up and can gather his anti social mood.. she sits beside him, come lets go, after such a long time the whole family has gathered together ,and here you are locked away on your own in this room! we know that you are annoyed at all of us.. but how can you be so angry? all are happy , and want to see you happy.. it's for you this occasion is arranged. He picks up his file to peruse through and replies.. aye if all of us make merry, then someone has to work and make a living ? ummh if I can spare some time from work ,I'll come along.. Aye gets annoyed, now don't you use work as an excuse! I know what you are trying to avoid! listening to your heart! confusion resides in your heart! you are in love but your mind is not prepared to accept this!..I said this to you before ,listen to your heart ,and the confusion will disappear! do it for my sake.. she pleads. ..come down for a while and be part of the festivities. , you like it...Dutta listens and ponders ,on her invite.. episode ends, Hamlet53~12.8.14

Dutta's slow softening begins.. tasha's love takes a new meaning, mute communication.. it's like a long lasting method of connecting that they have set in place for the moment.. only to be triggered by lingering eye locks.. baji's good sense and forward planning to commend tasha as a couple.. lands Sudarshan into trouble before Kala.. suds is chastised for his careless short sighted moves.. Sudarshan vents his anger on Baji.. their exchanges are beginning to sound caustic.. like Kala / Naku dialogues..

Episode ~ 245

28th December 2010

Bonfire night

The episode is best watched as a video.. however as a synopsis.. here it goes.. his mother turns up without him.. evil gang speculate oh good!.. but his lordship.. opens the door and viola!

Dutta does turn up eventually.. pours himself a drink just as well he'll think with the heart.. and sits sprawled likea nawab zada.. on the white mattres with his body tilted up on one side by a rolled cylindrical pillow.. from there he checks out Naku.. sitting adjacent to him on the other side.. ..all this much to the delight of pro Dutta camp, Baji, Naku, Aye, Madhu, Kishore.. however the anti Dutta camp absolutely hate it.. ..there is instant visual exchanges between tasha ..dutta is clearly in love and playing hard to get.. Kala like an eagle along with her gang.. keeps a strict watch on how much love is flowing through the air waves between tasha..

Kala under the garb of being the sensible well wisher of the family.. reminds Dutta of the ill-fated day ,many years ago when he becomes the don Dutta Bhau, how Seema jilted him. how Naku deceived .Her weapon is to gnaw at his emotions! constantly robbing him off his peace of mind.. and Dutta drinks and drink...

Episode ~ 246

29th December 2010

Bonfire night

No party is complete without entertainment.. so Baji sings a song.. rishtey changed all the songs.. so I switched off mentally.. games like pass the parcel is played.. finally Dutta is asked to sing.. which he refuses to do so.. says ,I don't know how to entertain people.. then when the punishment is about to fall upon Naku.. he saunters off. the anti Dutta camp rolls their eyes, good! Dutta leaves in a huff, but eventually sings .. some silly song.. pity Mishal was moving his lips to the original Sharaabi film song.. manzillien api jaga ..Dutta staggers at the end of the song.. Baji leaps to hold him but Dutta raises his palm to back him off.. and then goes inside the house..

Kala & Naku

The embers of the bonfire burn, as Naku sits on the steps, clutching Dutta's waist coat against her cheek..has a FB of Dutta putting it around her shoulders to shield her from the cold night.. recalls, their looking into each other's eyes.. Naku dreams, that day will come when you will say to me in your full senses that you, love me.. Kala watches her from far and can read her mind.. Naku realizes she is watched by her and glares at her.. Kala comes to her and sits by her on the steps.. the bonfire burning between them in the distance.. Kala says, you seem very happy? Naku smiles back at her and replies, why? can't you tolerate my joy? listen you live by your husband and are still not happy! and me even being far from mine am happy.. this is the difference between you and me.. Kala mocks her, just because Dutta sang a song for you, you are getting a big head! don't forget, he sang the song when he was drunk! tomorrow when he wakes up he'll show you your real place! Naku replies, since many days I have been addressing you disrespectfully! but since you are older.. my upbringing does not allow me to disrespect you! because you are my SIL and Saab's sister, but really ,it seems you don't know how to receive respect! you prefer to lose your respect! have to say, you are the only sister I have seen who cannot tolerate her brothers happiness...you have seen him since he was a child, but have no knowledge about him like I do! he remains silent but his actions speak louder than words. Those that love him with a sincere heart.. for them he is ready to lay down his life.. Naku refers to how much he loves his family.. Dutta puts his life on the line for their happiness and well being.. this love, that you don't understand.. you have no idea of what Saab's silence means? This then is love that you cannot understand.. tell me do you know, what your husband likes, dislikes? what your son eats? what time he goes to bed? you don't have a clue! you are such an unlucky woman, who never received or gave love as a daughter, wife , and as a mother! all you did was cursed this dusky Naku day and night! but Saab.. he loved the very dark Naku , and now he loves the fair Naku as well! you want proof.. well it's this.. his waistcoat! When I was shivering in the cold.. he put it around me.. why did he do that? if he had no feelings toward's me then why would he give me this? now do whatever you want to! my Saab is my love, he is Bappa's blessing !..

Kala gets up snatches Dutta's waistcoat from Naku's arms, and shouts, you think you got the world by your Saab's waist coat ,you stupid girl! and she throws Dutta's waistcoat in the fire!

Enraged Naku looks at waistcoat in the fire.. take a good look ! your treasured memory is being burned down to ashes! mocks Kala Naku pulls out his jacket and beats the fire out of it on the ground and Kala taunts, yes put out the fire! but the fire the you have sparked in my heart Nakusha! will surely swallow you and your Saab! or maybe this fire will be used to light the pyre of one of you! and this is not a threat! consider this as a promise ,predicts Kala. Naku faces her, you can light as many fires as you can! I will put everyone out! I will defeat you in every game of yours , I am Babi's daughter! I carry fire around on my palms! beware that you yourself are not burnt to ashes by your fire! and this is not my threat ,it's my promise to you Kalavati! Naku yells! with fire in her eyes...

Dutta returns home

Dutta swaggers into the hallway of his house..he looks around ,there is none about. Suddenly a hand grabs his arm.It is Baji , who holds up a half drunk bottle of booze before Dutta.. shall we? in the name of our friendship he lisps, drunk.. Dutta looks at him.. and Baji pulls two empty glasses and says, yes Bhau! lets drink , don't refuse.. cheers! they clink glasses, Dutta sits on the bar stool and takes a sip. Baji reminisces ,Bhau we have been friends since twenty years, haven't we? Remember the days what we through?how we used to halve one piece of bread and survive on it for the whole day? then how come today our friendship has become so sparse? tell me Bhau why do you loathe me so much now? I swear to god I had never imagined I would live to see such day when Baji would survive without Dutta! and Dutta live without Baji! tell me am I so awful?..if I supported Naku? Bhau you know this very well , that girl loves you very much! she is like your shadow, won't let you harmed even by a minor scratch! listen Bhau! she was ready to tell you the truth about herself..she asked for a sign from Bappa!..it was I who reversed the sign! dutta turns his head and stares at Baji at this revelation.. Baji continues with his confession.. and Naku's defence..but you know why I did it Bhau..those were badtimes! Damodar kaka's arrival in your life;then Kala Tai left home.. Bhau how could I have told you about Naku's truth in those times when you were already under such duress?.. Bhau you have given me everything; a wonderful mother; a family; and every such respect that an ordinary man could aspire for! but I tell you our friendship is above and beyond all!and he takes a gulp..

Hey Baji rao! Sudarshan butts in between the two friends.. Baji turns his head to look behind him.. Sudarshan comes closer ,to the bar..what are you on? after having a few drinks ,you are turning theatrical! What 's all this crying like a female before Bhau ,in the hope of melting his heart towards you!it's Dutta Bhau's magnanimity that he has taken you to task for your blunders! he's washed his hands off you.. otherwise with you in charge of security so much has happened in this house! Bhau you correct me if I am wrong? speak up now Baji.. hey you have spent so much time with Bhau.. don't you know already that Bhau , does not have , traitors, disloyal , cowards,as his friends! what do you call yourself... a friend?.. some friendship you showed under the guise of a friend! you were careless in your own job!..dutta listens to Sudarshan's taunts at Baji.. then Baji puts his glass down and faces Sudarshan and replies to his digs..firstly!there is a difference between by making empty verbal claims of loyalty and actually putting ones's neck on the line! and this talk about work that uou go on about..let me tell you ,leave it to us lowly people...besides you are a picture of decency, SIL of this house.. you just chillax in this house! besides you are a lot older than me! enraged Sudarshan replies, yes I am older than you! both in age and experience that's why I corrected all the mistakes that you made! and you Bhau's so called right hand man became jealous! That's why I had to take the security of this house in my own hands! you got that Baji rao!

Shut up both of you! roars Dutta, stands up , pulls out his gun out of his trouser pocket holds it up and looks at both Baji and Sudarshan! empties the revolver and leaves one bullet it , and revolves the magazine of the gun and faces the two claimants. and decrees.. enough of nonsense ,whose loyal and who isn't ? it shouldn't take long to prove it.. and he places the gun on the bar service..now pick this gun up and prove it! Baji turns his head to Sudarshan who looks horrified. Baji defiantly says, I'll show you..and Baji reaches for the gun.. looks at Bhau and holds the gun with it's nozzle pointed at his temple episode ends Hamlet53 13.8.14

Fire as an image well portrayed in these episodes.. fire as the emotion of love betwixt tasha.. fire as an unbroken bond between duji..and fire as a symbol of love for Naku for Saab.. and consuming hatred in Kala's heart for Dutta and Naku..

Baji pours his heart out before Dutta..reveals his folly as well ,regarding Naku's truth.. last section mind blowing.. Dutta knows how Baji will react ,he just wants Sudarshan to see Baji's blind devotion and loyalty toward's him .. Dutta Bhau! .. Hamlet53~13.8.14
