How are you?

Wonderful chapter.
I especially loved the AS and Dutta scene. A lot was being conveyed and hinted at here. I thought the reason for Dutta's melancholic behaviour was the untimely demise of his mother and from this chapter it seems clear that, there is something here. He feels as though all those he loves, leave him eventually. At which point, I hope his Baba makes it, as another heartbreak would be awful and I'm not sure Dutta would overcome it-especially if he loses/never gains the love of his life too.

The line that spoke volumes for me was the one where Dutta said he's got no one to live for! Ouch. That's such a terrible state to be in emotionally. It broke my heart! But having said that, I like the fact that Dutta appears open to the prospect of love and marriage. He's not completely far removed from the possibility and that gives me hope. Hope that Naku will lighten his life once again.

Speaking of positive effects: Daksha. Now she is an enigma, I'm sensing there is possibly a complete backstory for her? She seems much nicer than his other sister in laws but more than that her reminiscing about her brother makes me wonder whether in time she'll see her devar as her brother? Here's hoping.

Can absolutely see the Romeo & Juliet element. Must say that's my least fave Shakespeare play (Othello, Macbeth and Hamlet all the way, in terms of tragedies, and I much prefer the light hearted A midsummer's night dream and much ado about nothing in terms of romance) BUT what you have going here is very good. I'm getting a lot of bollywood vibes (QSQT-Juhi's dress sense) and the whole 'violent rivalry' is very much Ishaqzaade and Ram Leela-esque (albeit I have not seen the latter two. Lol)

This takes me swiftly to Jyotsi Baba and his chaila. Bravo. Dutta in eyeliner? (rather Mishal in eyeliner?) my dear Hammie you win just for painting that image. While I hold no man can carry of eyeliner like Johnny Depp-MR def is one who could-if he so wished-hold up a candle to him! Plus you kept the stubble alive (which delights me as I'm teamBeard through and through lol)

Naku meeting our fake fotune teller was quite the scene. I was internally screaming at hi fiving that gurl who brazenly throwing his turban off. Atta gurl!!! You show him. Fire meets Fire. What a blaze ey?

As ever thank you for the update. And your comments. I really want to reply back but I am currently computerless so I'm using my phone to access the forum and there's only so 'much' I can tap away ;)

awsemm update some alone dutta scene are very emotional but fprtune teller scenes were hillarious

oh hammie i just loved the way you portrayed duji's friendship . it's indeed endearing . for a change we get to see baaji sheltering dutta which is nice. dutta is too lonely and love deprived which is why he is so close to kajri. you've incorporated this pet beautifully . animals love us selflessly , their love is pure and unconditional . dutta AS convo was too emotional , he desperately needs nakku in his life .
