LTL Written Update
Episode~ 100

The episode picks up from when Dutta for the umpteenth time pressurizes Naku into disclosing when she thought of this conspiracy? as he calls it and was it her sole endeavor? now tell the truth nothing but the truth when did your devious mind start this game? you must have thought he has been duped once in love in the past! second time he's jilted he'll end up being yours! When did you start Naku? was it when I shared my pain , my sorrow? When I was weakest due to my emotions! You sure chose the right moment Naku ! and then you started your moves ! he accuses her angrily as he spun his forefinger at her and roars aree! Dutta ShriRam Patil was not struck by mine enemies bullet! but your friendship killed me , he says with tears in his eyes. Naku just looks turns her face down unable to bear the caustic hate in his heart for her and she silently weeps. He looks at her face and deeply distressed swings his arm with the realization. Woe be upon you Dutta! a woman made a fool out of you! he reverts back to face her and asks her, so now tell me, which day? , at what moment? you knew full well that love is my weakness, second time rejection in love I couldn't withstand! Isn't that right? answer me! he snarls in her face and shakes her! Naku begs him with folded hands , trust me Saab...I didn't do anything .. he repeats you didn't do anything? and she replies feebly, no.. and he shakes his head ,like a madman , you didn't do.. anything?he gives her a good shake of the shoulders and yet you say! he bellows comes round and faces he and points his finger in her face, you helped Ravi and Supriya elope didn't you admit that?
Ohhh so that day! the idea squirmed in your brain? he points to her temple, help Supriya to elope! and then embrace Dutta! isn't that right?
He almost cries, till today! Dutta has never lost Naku! you have defeated Dutta with your friendship... he says with a faltering voice ready to breakdown in tears ..she still defends herself, I didn't help anyone to elope ..he snaps, lies! and tearfully glares at her and moves past her.. and she continues, I was with Tai every minute so that she couldn't runaway... I knew that Tai loved Ravi ,I even caught them and brought them back! she sobs and he laughs sarcastically.. and she carries on, but I couldn't speak the truth.. I feared that you will go to pieces... love.. and he repeats the word love and moves over to his dresser mirror and says love painfully...then he comes and stands before her and taunts her , you know a lot about love.. you found your love then? .. sweetly he puts his palms on your shoulder, you have caught a big fish in the net of your love! he smiles caustically and says, you turned out to be such a crafty witch! Naku is hurt to hear for the very first time his comments by her appearance.. such a shrewd witch that even won my heart! you found your treasure?you happy? now what are you going to do with me? what are you going to do with me!! he turns his neck to the side like an angry , lion I am asking you for the last time...since how long has this conspiracy been going on for? she looks up at him dumb faced and in rage he grabs hold of her neck in his palm and gives her a fixed lion like glare and slowly forces her feet back as he pushes her backwards his palm grips on her neck but he carries on driving her backwards till the back of her head presses against the wood panelled wall. He studies her face and arches his neck before her face and then says, I hate looking at your face Naku! you made Supriya elope by your will, you kept her secret by your will, fell in love by your will, but now you will breathe by my will! and you will cease to breath that too by my will! this is not mangalsutra but a handcuff! and the sindoor is your punishment! You have seen the good side of Dutta up till now ! now you will his new image, bit by bit ! his wrath will fall upon you! now you will live! cry! laugh! but you won't be able to save yourself from Dutta' wrath! you'll hate your life Naku ! you'll hate yourself! but even then ! you will not be released from Dutta's prison!!! he glares at her and then let's go of her neck and walks away from her.. she looks at his back.. he is a broken angry man.. she shudders and then resignedly sits on the floor where she stood..and clutches the mangalsutra he gave her.. the locket that was his and she weeps to console herself.
Lounge
The long eventful day comes to an end. The guards stand posted at the entrance. The ground floor is quiet , the mandap empty.. blood stained footsteps tell a tale of horror that lead up to the sacred fire which is now out with slow swirls of rising smoke. No one is around. All key areas of the house are steeped in silence... the BG's stand and give vigil tired.
Naku's family sit huddled weeping in the corner on the floor, near mandap in the hall. Babi weeps and Ganpat looks at her.. Sethji cries as he shuffles on the floor towards his mother's folded knees, Aye .. when will Tai return? Babi looks at him in alarm. Sethji cries, Bhau will not kill her will he? Babi wonders and cries. Ganpat consoles her, Babi wipe your tears, don't cry what use is it? I am with you.. so don't be tense, look Bhau is a good man, I mean he has a kind heart, look did he do anything to Naku? he didn't even raise his hand upon her! in fact he married her! our daughter! Ganpat's daughter Dutta Bhau's wife! he chuckles with hysteria and then suddenly shuts up and looks around and continues, look Babi and if we looked high and low we couldn't have found such a SIL as him! you dreamed about her marriage but what a dream come true!..look I am not saying that what happened is good, but you just think , now you are Bhau's MIL and I am his FIL... now we'll both have great worth here! we'll get a big AC room! with a big fridge loaded with the finest booze! now in that room we had couldn't get sleep in it! due to the heat. Now no one will ask me to do any work! I'll be ask them to work! Bhau's FIL!.. Babi is speechless after she hears his consolation speech. She replies crying, Ganpat are you a father or a butcher? Humm? and he retorts , women's brains are full of rubbish! and Babi weeps as she looks towards Bhau's room, hey Ganpat your daughter is being ruined there! and you can only thing about your comfort! Ganpat replies, ruined? she has become the mistress! you wait and watch how Naku will rule over Bhau's heart! you watch! Ganpat's words said in folly later on come true. Babi cries, my daughter is swallowing tears of blood over there Ganpat! and he replies, hey she is my daughter! you'll see how she will control Bhau that he will be all over her! and after a few days, Ganpat will be cruising in a big car! .Babi tells him to shut up! if some one hears you! we'll be buried alive right here! but Ganpat says , nothing will happen so don't be negative! by jove! Ganpat's good time is here! now its time to walk with my head held high! Yesss and he looks around the big house! as Babi cries bitterly!
Men's meeting
The other three key males of PN, two son in laws and one best friend congregate in Baji's room. He is troubled by the proceedings of the day, and walks away to the nearest window as Kishore watches on. Sudarshan stands between the two men and looks disgusted... close proximity with servants is not good! he says when I set eyes on them for the first time! I said kick them out! nobody paid heed to me! not even you Baji! humm? but it's Bhau's large heartedness! with that witch! he shared all his private details with her! and she is so shameless! she shouted before the whole world, that Bhau shared his heartache with her! who does that sort of thing!? I said so! close proximity with servants is not a good idea, if you trust a servant it's like chopping your own foot off ! but nooo! whose going to listen to me! taunts Sudarshan. Kishore interrupts , consider the events Sudarshan , what are you saying? Naku? do you think Naku can do such a thing? Naku can do such a big conspiracy? NoNaku cannot be responsible for this.. Sudarshan taunts him, Kishore first take off the blinders of piety from your eyes! then take a good look, and yes what do you say, Hari Om , Hari Om! you have no sense of worldliness! only two people! will emerge as pious ! the rest are all thieves! what do you think?. Kishore replies , what can I think! you think Sudarshan does she has the means to initiate such a big game? you tell me Bajirao in your life you have seen many mean and evil people, do you think Naku is capable of doing such a thing? Baji remains completely silence.. his silence means that he either believes she did it? or it can also mean , that she didn't..
Aye Sahib and Kala Aye Sahib has a FB of Dutta smearing Naku's parting with the sindoor. She weeps with her head low. Kala passes by and is forced upon custom to console her mother. She sits beside her in the outside dining area and says gently , Aye Sahib , if you'll carry on crying like this then .. please stop it now! I am getting concerned about you, Aye Sahib ,we are all saddened too, but what do you think with the kind of anger Bhau was in , anybody could have stopped him? Aye cries , I had such dreams about his marriage now all of them have been dashed! what kind of a marriage has our son done? what kind of marriage Kala? she beats her brow. Kala looks down at her mother slyly, Aye sahib that was not a marriage! our Bhau was not even in his senses. You'll see tomorrow when Bhau comes to his senses, he'll kick Nakusha out of the house!
Aye Sahib says, you don't know girl, he's my son and I know him he'll never forget this wedding, Kala looks content as this is what she wanted all along!.. Aye Sahib continues he'll never forget the pain, he'll forever remember this , that it's the second time he has been betrayed in love! Kala heaves with pleasure! at her mother's words, surely this is what she wants for Dutta that he suffers!
Aye Sahib don't cry, Kala continues ..now you are to be Bhau's strength, so please stop crying, as soon as it's morning Bhau will come to his senses, and he will realize the blunder he has made and then everything will be fine.. he will need your strength to support him, now we have lots of responsibilities, so come lets go. Aye Sahib wipes her tears and chants, Aye Jagdammbe! and Kala gives her a mock anxious look..today despite defeat she has a good score.. episode ends Hamlet53 ~ 14.1.13
Precap: Kala comes to Dutta's room, drags Naku out of his room, and tells her , you were a one night bride, so don't get any ideas...
Overall a good episode , that focuses on reactions to an event..
So going by sequence , it's the tasha scene first. What struck me is how he actually like others, comments on her appearance, calls her a despicable witch! something he has never done before. His words are injurious, to her sense of womanhood.
Dutta is a wounded lion who growls and snarls every now and then. He clearly feels that the whole universe has gone against him.. what with his best friend's betrayal , second time a woman has jilted him.
Dutta is violent, cruel and hurtful... yet he doesn't cross the line of decency.. Naku too is fearless of his ire. She is sure her angry transformed Saab will be ruthless but not enough that would turn him into an animal.. a man who will not dishonour her as a woman ! that in itself is Dutta's saving grace , brutal as he may seem with moments of manhandling her physically! but not savage enough to take advantage of her vulnerability.. I don't know how the law will deal with his roughing her up under an act of domestic violence.
The next interesting feature of the episode was the reaction of the two mothers. Babi is highly traumatized as she pre-empts the ruin of her daughter. Aye Sahib too is in a sorry state as she feels cheated that her only son's marriage is a total fiasco.
Ganpat , funnily enough despite making castles in the air, still manages to hold fort in his camp and actually says a few good words about both Naku and Dutta .
Kishore , Sudarshan and Baji , come together and Sudarshan is his usual empty , mean , full of himself, backbiting , cribbing and picking on Baji . Baji is silent , very much in shock. Kishore is about the only one who clearly states his opinion that it cannot be Naku .
Kala in the last segment emerges as the dutiful daughter, who supports her troubled mother .She cleverly gives her mother false hope that the marriage is null and void as her Bhau was not in sane mind when the ceremony took place. She even says Naku will be thrown out once Bhau relizes his mistake and things will become normal.. this in actual fact is what Kala plans to do, kick Nakusha out, that was her original plan.. So let's see in what way Kala's next move brings tasha together..
