wht abt child? read the report & it breaks u down , you feel unsafe for kids in ur fly & around india..its shameful & crime to compare these creatures with animals
UN has taken note of this hopefully some resolution is passed its just not one case its everyday thing
thanks for sharing hammiee

nakusha you truly feel that some international pressure wil solve your internal socal issues? If that was the case then your malnutrition, poverty, female foeticide etc.. should have vanished long time. Its not as simple as that. It is a larger issue, its a governance issue, corruption issue which only we can resolve. We the people . No external power will be foolhardy to risk its busines interest for some hapless victims. Big corporations rule the world. Even the most powerful Obama cannot change Gun control laws in his own nation, such is the gun lobby power. Its money honey.

i know my comment was borne out of sheer frustration ..interanational interest develope only if the country has natual deposit look how west has plunder IRAQ etc
there should be awakening from within ,women should speak out & educated women should moblize support ..if half of the humanity can stand up for itself ,it can bring change ,i 'm desperate & u don't know i feel sad after reading all these reports may our kids be safe & sound ,no child deserve it

I understand your sentiments naku but ultimately its only WE who are responsible. None can solve our law n order situation. And exactly thats the same point i was making, the eg., of iraq you gave is a classic case how vested interests can only destroy n how western nations view the rest.

hi everyone, once again humans have to hang their heads in shame for doing that to a child no beast would do to their own kind😭. my heart bleeds for the family. I read everyone's comments and I agree with bharti and priya also, people have to do something ... maybe an organisation that will accompany victims to police stations when uneducated people have to go to report a crime a member of ngo will make sure that the incident get reported correctly and nothing is falsified afterwards. a signed copy for both parties of full FIR. maybe such organisations already exist? but not many people know about it that way the policemen involved would know they can't deny the time and details.
@ nakusha I understand what u said was out of anger but bharti is right that no outside people can understand or do the sorting of your people like people of india can do themselves, same as they have done in every other field in their country. they have accomplished a lot since independence. it's a credit to many hard working people of your country. the thing is economically they have achieved a lot but in law and order for poor it's double standards.
where I live girls have boyfriends from very young age... boys and girls have a proper adult relationship from the age of sometimes 13/14 it's quite common, not only that many teenage mums also, of 15/16 so u would think in a country where there r no restrictions of age or marriage or how many partners u have during your life time, it wouldn't happen here, that any person needs to force themselves on someone, but u won't believe this when I tell u that, I have read of cases of young babies, in fact one month old was raped by her stepfather and many such cases where young children are sexually abused it's out of control here, at the moment u must also have heard of many celebrities r being questioned, no particular age or gender is safe from such beasts.
it's not just india's problem,it's a world wide disease. the article above by the Americans is very honest and they should know they've lived there I know the facts here and no one should b talking like they have no violence or rapes in this country or any western countries.
india is a big country with a huge population when enough people come together they can make the governments to take notice and make their country safe. it's up to the people not to accept anything less.
i'm sorry if I upset anyone. i'm from Pakistan, it's not much better there and many other things wrong in their system also, but all I want to do is go back and live there, family keeps telling me u can't go there u can't live in a place like that so many things r wrong with system, but I have seen uk and read the history books I know they were the same until early 20th century, they have improved and so I hope for both our countries to b the same it might take some time but we shall get there for sure... yes what is happening is not acceptable the change has to come from within and the sooner the better for this generation and for future ones to come.
good luck and keep progressing towards a better brighter india.
love from tahera to all friends.

Tahera, sexual violence as you pointed is not restricted to any country or region, nor it has any class barriers. It is a worldwide menace. This crime cannot be detected n prevented like other or as effectively as any other crime. can any amount of policing detect n prevent a potential rapist ?
But the deterrent can be made so stringent that it sends a strong signal.. If today one is hearing an increased number of cases reported it is because people today are willing to come out n report which was not the case a few years ago for obvious reasons of misplaced shame n honour of the victim or the family.
Above all a greater awarenes has to be created among the general public as to the crime itself, the punishment n the available recourse. There are innumerable agencies working for welfare of child n women who should be roped in to spread the message. Many parents arent ready to believe that their neighbour or their close relative could be a potential rapist. Majority of the culprits are known people who take advantage of the proximity n accessability.

But the most immediate n serious matter is the conduct of the police when dealing with such crimes. There is total lack of sensitivity n infact the opposite, the victim n the victims family is harassed when they approach which defeats the ends of justice. This is the biggest challenge that ths nation faces n this is where police reforms comes absolute necessary. It requires a overhaul of the entire policing agency. The public is rightly enraged when the crime is not treated with the seriousness it demands. This s where the media n the higher courts can exert pressure on the parliament.
Also the delhi centric reporting is not helping the cause. Sexual crimes are occuring all over the country but the meda is obsessed with delhi again for obvious reason, it captures max attention from one n all.

Very very unfortunate incident . My heart goes for the poor little girl . I donno n can't even think what kind of sick , frustated mentality gives birth to these crimes .
No international interference can bring any change . And boycotting India as a tourist-spot is laughworthy . There should be change on the basic mentality of our male population .

Interesting! How people moreso women underestimate their own abilities n looks than what the world perceive, mostly hard on themselves, it amazes me to see them even get emotional when they find out the difference, why? Is it because they are overwhelmed n relieved ? pity they dont believe in themselves šŸ˜’
