nakusha, if the ladki was detained in a military controled area or if the area came under AFSP Act, Major dutta would hav been totally justified for his action... since the entry was almost without any force n he resolved the whole issue with cordial discussion he could be spared frm any police case n also the argument would be that he was on his duty of finding the missing officer..he could get away with this argument i feel 😉.. waise major warned parekh of such an intervention even b4 he left😆. this conflict arise on a routine in courts whenever an armed forces personnel is involved in any matter, civil/criminal n slightly ambigous provisions hasnt helped much.

Hammie i was only defendin major's position here n AFSP Act is Armed Forces Special Provisions Act which is generally brought to force to regions in conflict for prolonged perionds like Manipur right now n many others in the past where there is a general civil disorder n the police is unable to maintain law n order. This Act is applied but sparingly as it has to approved n passed by the Parliament which is supreme.
Here in the present context major would have been in big trouble if he had barged into a civilian residence n if he was not on an official duty n not lookg for the missin military person[khan]. On a daily basis Indian courts face this dilema whenever a clash of military n civilian parties r involved. You chill hammie, no worries as even when nakusha had posted her comments earlier i was only amused, must say she had a point, but 2day after ur annotations i just felt like defending major😉

ur right, khan is frm HP, no AFSPA there, but i was only sayg major need not worry as he was followin orders n was on duty...anyways all this doesnt matter now, n thank god! u replied as this was aimed at u. hammie has a right to be glaring as this is her thread n its her prerogative to write the way she wants, "take it or leave it",😆

hi hamlet, so so sorry i missed last weeks UD and this time reading it so late 😳but i'm here
and what an UD!!
so khan the film star is back, getting the third degree from her colleagues.
N sharing out the jalebis from the holi celebrations and nattering with Nandi and blushing about the time spent with her saab so sweet.
she becomes firm with Nandi about doing her exercises(true professional this N) Nandi has confident issues around others, N puts some words of wisdom and comfort encouraging her along.
Funny how D is looking forward to house arrest, oops sorry marriage, loved that line😆
the scary gun details and the lesson to much for me!!
So happy to know N will be raising money for the improved seating area at the hospital (just what i was thinking)and getting the family and lauren involved added benefits.
always a pleasure to read your work⭐️ eagerly waiting for the next thanks
