DOTW : TRP's of LTL 'What a Major Down Fall' - Page 2

A lot of people (including myself) stopped watching LTL the day MR left... And I do agree that MR's exit and the currently crappy storyline are major players (if not THE main reasons for) causing this drop in TRPs.. But for me personally, the truly insulting manner in which fans have been treated and disregarded by the channel has been enough to put me off the show entirely. I'm not going to lie, if they had done this in a much more civil manner - if they had been more professional about this and if they had at least BOTHERED to look like they gave a rat's a** about what the viewer's wanted and felt, then I might have given the show a skeptical go still.. Just to see if they can still maintain the story and do something with it. But the fact that they were to blatantly dismissive towards the fans left such a bad taste in my mouth that I didn't want to bother watching it after MR's exit. Because of the way they handled it, MR's exit was equivalent to the fans being slapped in their faces instead of the professional politics that it should have been. The fans were invested in this "fight" and invariably felt cheated..

I think MR k janey k baad maybe some people might have returned to the show had the channel people bothered to care enough to keep them around.. But the fact that they didn't give a crap about us (as they so vocally told us) just ensured k no self-respecting loyal fan would ever tune into LTL.. Because now it isn't about loyalty to MR or hatred for the channel.. Now it's really about not wanting to do anything with a channel that insulted you and your choices so blatantly - at least that's how it is for me.. *shrugs*

I can't speak for everyone here but I can safely say that the channel's nonchalance towards our pleas was a pretty big insult for me. 🤢 I obviously didn't expect them to put everything aside and tend to our needs (as much as I'd want that, I knew there was a far shot of that ever happening) but I at least hoped that they'd bother to try and seem like they genuinely care.. But they didn't even PRETEND to care.. *shakes head*

@ Fivr: Agree with you completely. I thought these people were pretty professional but it looks like the channel thinks that they can do anything and feed us whatever they like and not what the audience likes. They didn't handle MR's exit well. For me the show left a really bitter taste. When the news of his exit came out the first time and my first reaction was I'm so glad now Supriya will never come back. 😆 but on a serious note, I was sad that we'll lose Dutta very soon but then I thought if he feels that he needs to move on then it's fine and I would have waited and watched it to see what the channel brings in next but the nasty rumors has left this show with a bad taste in my mouth and I have no intention of watching it again. 🤢 After continuously requesting this channel, they just completely ignored our requests. Nobody came out and said anything about it and now everyone is waiting for time to pass and then everyone will forget about it and I'll just be sulking for the rest of my life. 😔
What's even more worse is that the channel clearly said that we don't matter since we are ONLY 200 and so now they don't matter to me because my opinion does not matter to them. I just want it to end because the channel needs to learn that the audience does matter.

2 major reasons for me ditching LTL big time!
1. The channel and its total disregard for anything remotely connected to the betterment of the show. No response to queries, insulting and arrogant behavior, I mean is this a democracy or what? I am just so p....d at their attitude, that I care a damn about the show.
2. MR's exit and his possible no return situation. We have received news from a lot of sources here at the forum that his return is unlikely, but at the same time, the channel and the PH is not saying anything, why? Because they know that janta is watching only because of the remote chance Dutta-MR will be back. This carrot dangling trick is so cheap, that it hurts.

The downfall of TRP's is due to the exit of the strong character of Dutta Sriram Patil's played by Mishal Raheja. He portrayed the character to the hilt. His exit was so sudden & so stupid that it hit us hard. It made me think how could such a strong character exit in such a meek way without a fight. It was rather too sudden. Now even if the heart wants to see the show the mind rejects it. None of the shows on colors channel is interesting now. So I have stopped switching on colors now.

Playing the devil's advocate I will buy Colors argument that it was Mishal who wanted out of LTL and he left them no choice in the matter. But the fact is that Mishal also gave the PH and channel 3 months notice for the same. A period which was long enough to wind up Dutta's track or find a replacement for Dutta's role. Many popular actors have moved on from their shows earlier without the shows suffering much. Colors was also confident of repeating the same with LTL. I will also ignore all the insults the officials of Colors threw at my fellow members because they thought we were a small minority of their viewers who didnt even get them any revenues.
But what stopped them from planning a proper exit for such an important character as Dutta or find an apt replacement for Dutta in this 3 months time? And what about the basics of writing-scripts and dialouges? Did they throw those out with MR? Or was he covering up for something which the show was lacking ie good writing and once he wasnt around to cover for them it all fell flat. Or apart from MR did they also fire the writers of LTL?
So I will say that the fall in trps of LTL is because the current LTL has no resemblance whatsoever with the show we fell in love with. Any resemblance is coincidental.

I know many ppl even outside this forum who started watching ltl after mr entered the show even the trp rose only after that so basically for most of its viewers ltl is not a story of a basti girl.Either its a story about journey of dutta or tasha.That'swhy dutta's exit was followed by many of us.And moreover ltl was, i guess only show which revolved around the male protagonist for instance the dp or the seema track.When was nakku's past given so much screen time although i think they should have.

HI TO ALL .A PROPER THING IS HAPPENING AFTER MR EXIT. IT SHOULD FALL MORE SO THAT CHANNEL AND PH REALIZE THEIR MISTAKE.😊😆
