Playing the devil's advocate I will buy Colors argument that it was Mishal who wanted out of LTL and he left them no choice in the matter. But the fact is that Mishal also gave the PH and channel 3 months notice for the same. A period which was long enough to wind up Dutta's track or find a replacement for Dutta's role. Many popular actors have moved on from their shows earlier without the shows suffering much. Colors was also confident of repeating the same with LTL. I will also ignore all the insults the officials of Colors threw at my fellow members because they thought we were a small minority of their viewers who didnt even get them any revenues.
But what stopped them from planning a proper exit for such an important character as Dutta or find an apt replacement for Dutta in this 3 months time? And what about the basics of writing-scripts and dialouges? Did they throw those out with MR? Or was he covering up for something which the show was lacking ie good writing and once he wasnt around to cover for them it all fell flat. Or apart from MR did they also fire the writers of LTL?
So I will say that the fall in trps of LTL is because the current LTL has no resemblance whatsoever with the show we fell in love with. Any resemblance is coincidental.

WORD.....Totally agree, Ksh.....that's it in a nutshell.....even if they want to say that MR left them no choice.....I don't think so....he gave them multiple time period extensions to EASILY wrap up the tracks logically but THEY are the ones that never chose to make use of that time and wasted it in draggy nonsense instead.

And the other excellent point you've made is that what happened to this show with MR's exit? Saare writers kahaan mar gaye? They threw them out along with MR?😆......If MR is gone and you so feel that the "show must go on", why would you kick out the very writers who were supposedly making your show too? Then you do make us start to wonder if it was indeed MR who was salvaging a lot of nonsense elements in this show😆 and the moment he left , it all fell flat.....like the writers also gave up writing anything half-way sensible....MR nahin toh kuch nahin.....three months they had......three whole months.....and they couldn't find a replacement?? That too in this "the show must go on" industry?? Surprising😛😆.....

The main reason for the steep decline in TRP ...OMG it is an unheard 1.95 ... is Mishal's aka Dutta's exit from the show.

The channel was hell bent on killing the show by ignoring Dutta's character for the last three months...making him drive aimlessly, a blind Dutta handing from the fan But Mishal still carried the show on his shoulders by his sheer brilliance...

A lot has been said about Diggu and just trying to think of the character puts me off...👎🏼

I watched LTL only for Dutta... and MR is the ONLY Dutta for me.
My confession...I have not followed the epis in which Dutta was not present...WU's were enough...Sometimes I would tune in, press mute and leave the room...just for sake of TRP of MR's show😆

The total disregard of the channel for its viewers and their unprofessional-ism ..is something that is not acceptable.

In future, Colors could bring in any earth shattering program but I refuse to view it. ...Unless of course they sort out this MR-Dutta issue to our satisfaction.
