Part 3

Flashback

After coming back from hospital that day they both slept but their soul were very much awake. How could anyone sleep in that situation? Nakku fell asleep and maybe dutta as well. The next day he got up without making any noise and put her breakfast and medicine in a tray next to the bed. He went to work with baaji without even informing her. Nakku woke up and saw her breakfast; she knew it was dutta who put it there. She got ready and ate all her breakfast. She then went downstairs to see him but he was no where to be found then later she found out from AS that Dutta already left for work. A dejected Nakku went back to her room and spent her day there alone. She waited for dutta to come and to her surprise he came to the room with dinner and her medicines. Without looking at her, he made her sit down and put the plate infront of her, but Nakku didn't touch it as she knew dutta hasn't have dinner as well. Dutta knew why Nakku didn't touch the food so he had a morsel. He then fed her himself with his own hands. Nakku ate happily and took her medicine. Dutta got up to go.

Nakku: suniye...

Dutta: araam karo..mujhe kuch kaam hain

Nakku: lekin..

Dutta just walked away with the empty plates without listening to her. Nakku again felt dejected. "Why is he taking care of me if he doesn't want to talk to me?" thought Nakku.

End of flashback

She comes back to her sense when she hears someone knocks on the door. Nakku quickly wipes her tears and goes to open the door.

AS: areee Nakusha.. tum theek ho na?

Nakku: Ji AS.. kuch kaam tha?

AS: Nahin.. koi kaam Nahin lekin main tumhe yeh saree dene aayi thi.. Kal godh Barai hai na

Nakku: AS yeh sab zaroori hain?

AS: haan beti... chinta nako.. sab theek hogaye ga..

Nakku: Ji..

AS: tumhe kuch chahiye?

Nakku: Nahin main theek hain

AS: theek hain... araam karo

Nakku: Ji

AS goes after handing Nakku the saree. Nakku closes the door and puts the saree on the bed without looking at it. The windows starts banging because of the strong wind, Nakku closes it and have another flashback..

Flashback

During her 4^th month pregnancy, she had lots of cravings. She craved for ice cream, chocolates, watermelons, biscuits and mangoes. In the middle of the night she would wake up and walk around trying to divert her mind. Dutta felt that Nakku wasn't on the bed and he woke up. He saw Nakku walking around and stroking her belly.

Dutta: kya hua?

Nakku: hmmm kuch Nahin

Dutta: aree batao

Nakku: mujhe ice cream khana hain

Dutta: isme kaunsi badi baat hain.. kitchen mein jao aur ice cream khalo

Nakku: Nahin.. mujhe kulfi chahiye.. aur woh bhi cashew nut wala

Dutta got out of bed and put his kurta on.. He went and bought her kulfi in the middle of the night and if the shops were closed he would force the shopkeepers to open it. He came back with her kulfi, handed it to her and went back to bed. He didn't say anything, he didn't have to, and his actions did all the speaking.

"He still loves me and he cares He cares about us, about me and our baby" Nakku thought happily. She ate her kulfi and got on the bed next to him. Instead of sleeping far, she slept close to him, and they woke up in each other's arm. In the morning, Dutta's arm was around Nakku's waist and her head was on his chest. He opened his eyes and was surprised to see her on his chest. But she was sleeping.. was she? No not really she was only pretending but dutta didn't know. He slowly put her head on her pillow and slipped out of bed.

End of flashback

Nakku sits on the bed and holds the saree close to her. She looks at it and smiles because it's Dutta's favourite colour. Red and Gold. Perfect for Godh Barai.

Nakku *to herself*: kaunsi godh Barai... kaisi godh Barai.. woh to yahan Nahin honge na? Mere paas Nahin rahega... kaise khushi? Meri muskurane ki wajah to wahan Nahin honge. Kya woh aayega? Iss khushi mein shamil hoga?

The door opens and dutta comes in. Nakku was lost in her own world holding the saree. He looks at her for a second and goes to the bathroom. When he closed the door, Nakku came back to her sense. She looks towards the bathroom and puts the saree down on the bed again. Dutta comes out wiping his face with a towel.

Nakku: suniye

Dutta: Hmmm

Nakku: kal godh Barai ki rasm hain..

Dutta: jaanta hoon lekin kaal mujhe kuch kaam hain

Nakku: lekin

Dutta: kahan na ke kaam hain.. Nahin apaounga.

Nakku: Thodi der ke liye hi sahi

Dutta: Nahin..

Saying this he leaves... Nakku is hurt.. She holds her belly and starts crying and finally breaks down on the floor.

*Tadap Tadap – Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam* Plays in the background

Nakku cries on the floor holding onto her big belly... she remembers her moments before the revelation with dutta and after the revelation.

Flashback of SR

Dutta pushes her down slowly and Nakku turns the lights off... He kisses her forehead moves down to nose, then both cheeks and finally their lips touched for the first time. Dutta kissed her lightly first to see her reaction, Nakku's hand traced his back and locked at the back of his neck pulling him closer to her. Dutta deepen the kiss and started opening his sherwani buttons with one hand... He wanted to turn the light on but Nakku held his hands and dutta forgot the light with her touch... He breaks the kiss and takes his kurta off... Nakku turns around and Dutta searched her dhori's with his hands... Nakku got tensed and scared that he might see but dutta was so lost into her. He opened her dhori and started biting her neck.. Nakku got even more scared and turned back to him...He traced her face with his fingers and Nakku sat up nervously. Dutta opened her hair and pushed her down again slowly and pins her hands to the bed and leans in....

End of Flashback

Nakku lies on the floor and curls up holding her belly and cries out loud... Dutta is going out of PN but remembers his file that he forgot in the room. He gets irritated and calls for the servants but no one comes so he decides to go himself. He walks up the stairs angrily and opens his rooms. Dutta gets shocked to see Nakku on the floor crying out loud. He steps in but steps back out and looks at her.

*Song Finishes*

Nakku *to bappa*: Maar dalo mujhe ...nahin jeena.. agar saab mujhse baat Nahin karega to Nahin jeena.. kyun kiya mere saat aisa? Hamesha aapka pooja kiya.. mereko aapse pura wishwas tha lekin aaj aapne mere wishwas ko tod diya.. mujhe tod diya.. Nahin jeena hain mujhe... Maar dalo maar dalo

She cries and bangs her hands on the floor looking for a response from bappa. Dutta looks at her and can't stop his tears. He wants to go hug her, tells her he loves her more than anything. Dutta closes his eyes to decide what to do. Shall he go console her and be with her? Or shall he leave her and she will be ok on her own? Dutta doesn't like the idea of leaving Nakku on the floor crying. He rushes inside and picks her up.. Nakku looks at him shockingly. Dutta puts her on the bed to sit and Nakku looks the other way. Dutta sits on the bed next to her and holds her hands. Nakku looks at their hands together and looks at him.

Dutta: mereko maaf karo Nakku... mein gadha hoon..yeda hoon..lekin tu? Tu toh samajhdar hain... mujhe do char tappad Nahin de sakti thi?

Nakku: yeh aap

Dutta puts his finger on her lips to shush her. He looks at her with teary eyes and kneels down infront of her and holds her hands tighter.

Dutta: Maine tujhe bohut sataya na? Tujhe bohut dhuk diya? Lekin kya karta Nakku? Mujhe aapni kalli mitti se bohut pyar tha..

Nakku: chehra badla hain saab dil Nahin.. yeh dil aapka hain.. sirf aapka.. kali ya gori.. yeh Nakku aapki hain.. mujhe Nahin pata ke aap mujhe iss chehre ke apna sakte hain ya Nahin lekin main wohi Nakku hoon jo aapne saab ke liye apni jaan bhi de sakti.

Dutta cries and hugs Nakku. They both cry their heart out. Dutta caresses nakku's face and kisses her on the forehead.

Dutta: tumne mujhe bohut sataya

Nakku: maine?

Dutta: haan adi raat tujhe ice cream jho khani thi
