Part 6
Everyone is standing in the hall looking at Dutta who is reading the reports quietly. Nakku is getting more and more nervous by the seconds and Dutta is taking his own sweet time. His lips curve to a smile and his eyes twinkles. Dutta looks at Nakku and everyone else around him.
Nakku: kya hua?
AS: duttaaa? Kuch to bol beta
Baaji: bhao ab bheja fry mat karna... mera dimaag ghoom raha hain...jaldi bata na
Dutta *with a big smile*: Ladki hain... Ladki... meri beti...
Nakku *happily*: Ladki
Baaji: Haila, meri banji aa rahi hain.. Dinchak dinchak.
AS: ayi jagdambe... ghar ki laxmi aa rahi hain
Babi: main abhi mithai lekar aati hoon.
AS: haan babi.. hamari poti anewali hain
Babi happily gets mithai and feeds everyone. Kala eats reluctantly and doesn't like the fact that dutta is going to have a baby girl. She thinks about the property and money that will go on the girls name and shivers. Kishore sees her and smirks.

Its night time and everyone is in their rooms. Nakku is sitting on the bed relaxing and Dutta gives her medication that has been prescribed by the doctor. He gets on the bed beside her and puts his head on her lap listening to her belly. Nakku smiles and runs her fingers through his hair. Dutta kisses her belly and the baby kicks. "Ouch" says Nakku holding onto her belly but dutta seems amused as he felt his baby girl kicked. He looks at Nakku happily and strokes her belly.
Dutta: Areee Vah lakh mara.. aur mar
Nakku: aur mar? Mujhe dart hoti hain
Dutta: ohh sorry
Nakku: Anyway Kal Karva Chaut Hain
Dutta: Ahhh Ok, Lekin tum vrat Nahin rakoge
Nakku: yeh aap kya kehrahe hain
Dutta: Tum meri beti ko bookhi pyasi din bar Nahin rak sakti..yedi ho?
Nakku: ek hi din ki to baat hain... mujhe rakna hain
Dutta: Nahin.. main rakounga.. tumhe bacche ke liye bhi khana hain..
Nakku: aap aur vrat? *laughs* Nahin rak paoge!
Dutta: mujhse shart laga rahi ho? (yes i stole this line from the show so what? Lol)
Nakku: Haan
Dutta: theek hain.. soch lena
Nakku: soch liya..
Dutta: theek hain.. agar meine vrat rakliya... then you will have to give me anything i ask for.
Nakku: theek hain.. Aur agar aapne Nahin raka to?
Dutta: then i will do anything you ask me to
Nakku: done! Lekin mujhe bhi rakna hain
Dutta: Nahin. Bilkul bhi Nahin.
Nakku: theek hain .. agle saal rakoungi
Dutta: haan agar tum pregnant Nahin ho to!
Nakku: KYA?
Dutta: kuch Nahin. Chalo sau jao.. I have to wake up early
Nakku: kyun?
Dutta: vrat ke liye aur kya?
They both go to bed with lots of dreams in their eyes. Dutta couldn't control himself. All he could do was imagine his little girl in his arm. He closes his eyes with a smile and starts dreaming.

Around 3 o'clock the alarm all the suhaagans and AS are gathered at the table to eat and dutta comes down rolling his sleeves. Everyone is shocked to see him.
AS: Areee Dutta tum?
Kala: Bhao Nakusha kahan hain?
Dutta: Aaj yeh vrat mein rakounga kyunki Nakusha iss halat mein Nahin rak sakti
Kala: Lekin bhao tum..
Dutta: maine kahan na... main rakounga
AS: theek hain.. baito.
Kala *thinks to herself*: yeh bhao to goru ka ghulam ban gaya aur woh maharani sau rahi hain araam se.
The maid serves them food and they start eating. Nakku comes down when everyone is still sitting at the table.
Dutta: Aree Nakku.. tum yahan kya kar rahe ho?
Nakku: aapne mujhe jagaya hi Nahin
Dutta: haan kyunki aaj main vrat rak raha hoon.. kitni bar bolunga? Chalo.. Room mein chalo
Nakku: ek minute
Dutta: Kya?
Nakku walks up to the table and takes the sargi. She spoon feeds dutta.
Nakku: kehte hain ke jab aurath apne pati ke liye karva chaut ka vrat rakta hain to pati unko sargi kilata hain lekin aaj aap vrat rak rahe hain to aaj mein aapko sargi kila rahi hoon.
Dutta smiles and AS interrupts "Sahi kahan Nakku ne...Aap jao araam karo dono". TaSha nod and goes to their room. Kala and leela also leaves.
......
Kala goes to her room and Kishore is in deep sleep. She gets pissed and hits him with pillow. Kishore jumps up and looks at her disgustingly.
Kishore: kya hain?
Kala: yahan meine tumhare liye vrat raka hain aur tum sau rahe ho?
Kishore: to aur kya karoon?
Kala: mere liye vrat rak sakte ho na
Kishore: kyun? Main apne per pe khuladi Nahin marna chahti.
Kala: kya?
Kishore: kuch Nahin...
Kala: jao kuch kha lo aur vrat rako
Kishore: Nahin. Mujhe tumhare lambi umar ke liye vrat Nahin rakna hain
Kala *angry*: KISHOREEEE *throws a pillow on him* theek hain.. main bhi Nahin rakne wali
Kishore: to mat rako ... kisne force kiya hain... mujhe Nahin lagta ke bhagwan tumhe sunta bhi hain
Kala: Fine i won't fast
Kishore: ok
He goes back to sleep leaving an angry kala to stare at him for a while. She gets on the bed and lies down as well fuming with anger ready to burst anytime. Kishore smiles and sleeps peacefully.
......
PN is busy with people going around decorating the house for Karva Chaut. Nakku is standing and counting the flowers. Dutta is standing besides her forcefully feeding her laddoo while she's busy.
Nakku: mujhe Nahin khana hain
Dutta: yeh tumhare liye Nahin hain
Nakku: toh phir?
Dutta: meri beti ke liye.. usse bohut pasand hain
Nakku: aapko kaise pata?
Dutta: meri beti hain.. ofcourse mujhe pata hoga
Nakku: acha?
Dutta smiles and comes closer but baaji comes : Bhao mein kya kehraha tha?.. But he sees TaSha closer and turns around.. "Ayee Saala.. hamesha galat time par aata hoon" he murmurs and hits his forehead in frustration. Dutta and Nakku moves back and looks at baaji.
Nakku: Baaji. *baaji faces them*
Baaji: ho Vayhini
Nakku: Kya hua?
Baaji: ahh woh saree wala aya hain
Nakku: theek hain chalo
Dutta: Ruk .. main bhi aata hoon
Nakku: kyun? Aapko bhi saree lena hain?
Dutta doesn't say anything and goes to the saree wala. Nakku, AS, Trio and Baaji sit around and starts looking at sarees. Nakku starts looking for a saree and holds them infront of her and checks herself in the mirror hung on the opposite wall. Dutta stands behind her and looks at her in the mirror. He makes a disgusting face looking at the saree. Nakku gets angry and puts it down and picks something else up. She looks at dutta in the mirror and raises her eye brows. Dutta nods no so Nakku again picks another saree. She looks at Dutta sadly but this time he smiles and winks at her naughtily. Nakku looks down shyly and tells the man she's taking this saree. Kala picks up the first saree that Nakusha was holding. She holds it infront of her and looks in the mirror.
Kala: Bhao.. yeh saree acha hain na
Dutta: haan
He then realise it's the same saree he didn't like but he didn't bother to say anything to Kala so he stayed quiet and continued to do his job aka stare at Nakku.

PN is decorated with white and red curtains, flowers and lights for karva chaut. Dutta is looking dashing in a red sherwani matching nakku's saree. Everyone is on the terrace waiting for the chand. Nakku is sitting on the palki holding the pooja thali and Dutta is standing in front of her with Baaji and complaining about the chand (moon) and that he's hungry. Nakku laughs at him.
Roops: Chand agaya
Baaji: Chand? Kahan?
Roops: woh dekho *points to the chand*
Dutta smiles happily and helps Nakku stand up. They stand opposite each other.Baaji sits on the palki and looks at around happily.
Haaton mein pooja thali
Ayi raat suhaagon wali
Dutta holds the thali while Nakku folds her hands to the chand and prays for
Dutta's long life and Dutta does the same in his heart
While looking at Nakku
Oo Chand ko dekhoon... Haath mein jorun..
TaSha eyelock and they look at the chand together with the thing
(duno the name sorry)
Karva chaut ka vrat mein toroon
Tere haathon se pi tar paani
Nakku makes dutta drink water as he was the one fasting, Dutta takes a sip
And makes Nakku drink as well.
Dassi se ban jaoon rani
Aj ki raat jo mange koi voh paa jae re
Nakku was about to bend to take his blessing but Dutta stops her
He looks at her lovingly and hugs her not caring who is looking.
Ghar aaja pardesi tera desh bulae re.
*Song Finishes*
TaSha are still hugging when Nakku screams. Everyone looks at her. Dutta breaks the hug and looks at her. Nakku holds her belly and whines in pain. Everyone gets scared and rushes to her, Dutta holds her shoulder and asks her what happened. Nakku isn't able to say anything.
"Splaaaash" her water breaks (loool this a funny).. TaSha and everyone looks shocked. Nakku starts crying, Dutta picks her up and goes hospital. PN wasis follows to the hospital in the other car.
....
Everyone is waiting in the corridor while Nakku is in the delivery room. She's screaming in pain and everyone can hear her from outside.
Nurse: patient ki husband kaun hain?
Dutta: main hoon
Nurse: agar aap apni patni ke saath rehna chahte hain to aap andar jaa sakte hain
Dutta without saying anything rushes inside and sits next to Nakku and holds her hands. Nakku squeezes his hands and screams.
Doc: Take a deep breath and PUSH
Nakku: i can't.. I can't
Dutta: yes you can... Breath in .. Breath out.. PUSH
Nakku: Ahhhhh how do you know?
Dutta: err.. woh .. doctor ne abhi kahan hain na.
Nakku: jhoot mat bolo... Ahhhhhh
Doc: Keep pushing
Dutta: Zor lagao
Nakku: Shhhh
Doc: Ok.. One last Time... Breath and PUSH
Nakku squeezes his hands and pushes one last time... Dutta wipes her forehead with a cloth given by the nurse. TA-DA baby is out. The baby starts crying and Dutta has a big smile on his face. He looks at Nakku who is tired and happy at the same time. Doctor wraps the baby up and hands her over to dutta.
Doc: Congratulations, beti hui hain
Dutta holds his baby girl and one tear drops on her forehead. Dutta kisses her and holds her infront of Nakku, for her to see her baby. Nakku cries out of happiness and holds her.
