Hi Shilpi.. sorry am a bit late with comments.. read it last night, but had no chance to post comments.. courtroom setting looks so authentic, though I think you meant court room rather than prison in this sentence, na?
They were not afforded place to sit as prison was too small to accommodate chairs
His walk reminded me of his walk holding naku's hand in the temple.. I know how much you love that scene and this description certainly reminded of the same! So as he was half expecting, though in his heart he was 101% expecting, she turns up.. felt real sorry for both of them.. she should be resting and basking in everyone's love in this time, but is forced to come to court so she can catch a glimpse of her beloved..and typically and justifiably he is angry.. angry at her for coming though he himself would have wanted to see her, angry at himself for getting her into this state where she had to come, angry at circumstances as he would have preferred that she was not troubled at all, his family was not troubled at all..but its not in his hands, except asking the advocate to finish off quickly so that she would not have to spend even a minute more there..
Naku sounded so forlorn and lost when she says main aapko dekhna chahthi thi..poor girl..but when he rants about this place, u see the sherni inside her finally openly saying that as long as he is in this profession she will have no choice..finally she blurts out the truth.. the truth he probably always knew, but never wanted to acknowledge it himself..and of course, the media vultures would spare her no mercy in spite of her condition! How typical.. hmm⌠he doesn't divulge to Madhu too why he is staying in custodyâŚhe knows Hursh is around, plus maybe he doesn't want to increase Naku's stress levels, so decides to bottle up everything within himself!
Grr.. Kala openly calls him a keeda and people don't retaliate? Maybe out of respect for D himself? But then Naku handled the villagers beautifully with able support fromm baaji and madhu..
Wow.. dutta has planned a big game or is that waqis on his own planning this counter attack? I am a bit confused here, cos dutta never had a chance to talk to waqis to instruct him about this ploy, isn't it? about how they have clones of dutta-baaji out in the open frustrating Hursh.. I really am enjoying Hursh's frustration.. serves him right.. gadha kahin ka! If it is Waqis using his brains to plan this counter attack, then I see him handling the empire with min input from Dutta as I don't think he will continue in this trade forever..and this will porve to one and all how capable waqis is? He even excludes Madhu from this operation so that they can all deny knowledge of this operation if things don't go well! So he is protecting the family as well here..
Well, I think his frustration and anger at his own ineptness got the better of Hursh and so he beats up Baaji! Though I do love the way Baaji tackled Hursh and now he will gain when Shammi lets loose at her bhai! God, this boy is clever ;-P
He wondered why he was the one suffering. He was supposed to be the Good guy here, couldn't they see it?
This line clearly tells us the state Hursh is in.. he is a righteous officer, though his eyes are a bit clouded by his steadfast conviction of Dutta-Baaji being criminals. In spite of so many people respecting them and wanting to help them, he doesn't want to accept the fact that D-B also have a good side to them and have kept their trade and area clean.. well, slowly the scales will drop off his eyes?!!
Oh no.. Naku goes into labour.. what a time she chooses..now pls Rimpi, he has to be there when that baby comes out..come what may, please..he has suffered enough in life and this baby should mark the beginning of a new life for this couple and she needs him the most right now and he will also want to be there with every fibre in his being.. so jaldi nikal de dutta ko jail se bahar J

@vandu: i meant prison vandu..in small judicial courthouses in india there is a small built in prison where criminals or the people who charged with felony are made to stand...movies mein jo katghara dikhate hai wo sirf kuch courts mein hota hai...but the intial case is normally handled in zilla court instead of high courts and there space is scares for such open barracks as shown in movie sets...so to bring in some reality i used that line about the built in prisons in courts.
