Dedicating this part to everyone who had patiently waited for me to continue this story.
Part 3
It was the worst date in the history of mankind! Dutta fumed as he paced in his room. He had never been to a date this disastrous. He didn't know what he was thinking or not thinking for that matter. All he did during the date was smile nervously. When the hell did he start getting nervous? He was uncomfortable too! He, Dutta Sriram Patil was uncomfortable and nervous in front of a mere chit. He closes his eyes in horror as he thought of how, all they both did was nervously smile at each other, waiting for the other to talk. Finally, both had enough and didn't even stay back to have dessert. Why was he nervous? Was it because it was Nakku? He had to admit she unnerved him. No girl has affected him in the way Nakku has, and the date with her was a disaster. Groaning he falls on the bed.
Nakusha was not sure whether she was happy or disappointed. Happy that she went on a date with Dutta or disappointed, that it was not as romantic or exciting as she had expected. They didn't talk. All he said was "what will you eat?" and all she said was "Chicken wanton soup and mixed fried rice." Then they had sat and smiled at each other nervously for 45 minutes! She wondered what Dutta will do now. Will he wash his hands off her? She couldn't believe she had screwed up her chance with Dutta. She hears her cell ringing and she checks her phone to find Dutta calling. She quickly answers, "Hello?" "Hey." Dutta says. "Hey." Nakusha replies. "So..." "So..." Nakusha replies and then closes her embarrassed. "Stop repeating after me, Nakku." "Sorry." "Ermmm" "erm... ""Are you making fun of me?" Dutta asks frowning. "No. So tell me..." she quickly replies. "That was one hell of a date.. huh?" Dutta asks laughing nervously. "Haan." Madhu says for lack of other words. "I called you to..." "To?" she asks when he hesitated. "to see if you want to give it another shot?" "Sure." Nakusha replies as she did a quick gig. "Great. How about a movie this time?" where they won't have to talk both of them thought. "Cool. Let me know when and where." Nakusha replies. "How about now?" he asks her. "Now?" she asks shocked. "Yeah. Come down. I am waiting." Nakusha hurries to the window and looks out to find his car parked right outside her gate. "ARE YOU CRAZY? If my mother sees you there then I am dead!" "Then come fast." "I can't come now." "Why not?" he asks disappointed. "Because unlike you, I am not the one running my house and I have people to answer to." "Do you want me to come in and ask your mother?" "NO!" "Ouch my ears. Please don't shout again." "Sorry." Nakusha mutters. "Please go. I'll come for the movie another day." "You told me you'll come. I want you to come now." He replies adamant. "No." "Show me some lawwwveee, Nakku." "That is sick!" Nakusha says irritated making him chuckle. "Come, Nakku." "I know why you are doing this!" Nakusha says irritated. "Doing what and why?" he asks confused. "The date was not how you had thought it would be. So it has affected your ego and you can't rest until you take me out on a proper date, and make it up to me." Nakusha tells him in a challenging tone. "I am not going to agree to that. But I would appreciate it if you would act as if it is not that easy to read me the next time." Nakusha grins hearing that. "Come, the movie starts in half an hour." "You are not going to give up?" "Not a chance." "Fine. Go straight and take a left and immediately park your car there. I'll see what I can do." "Great."
Dutta was waiting in his car for Nakku when he sees something falling in front of his car. He turns to look at the direction it came from and sees a movement. "No... that can't be... " he mutters as he turns on the head light and his eyes go wide seeing Nakku's head on the wall. Seeing the light on her she glares at him and waves at him to turn off the light. He quickly turns it off. Then he watches in shock as she climbed on the wall and then jumped down in front of his car. Quickly grabbing what looked like her sandals from the floor she dashes to the car and gets in. Dutta turns to look at her in wide eyed shock while she wore her heels and she asks irritated "What?" "Did you just jump a wall?" "Obviously." "What happened to your gate?" "Did you really think that my mother was going to send me on a movie date with you at this time of the night?" she sweetly asks him. "Oh!" Dutta says shocked. He had been living on his own for a long time and he had forgotten what it was like to live with one's parent. "Sorry." he cheekily grins not at all guilty. "I can't believe you are doing this and I'm following you like this." Nakusha mutters. "I thought you would say all romantic lines like i would follow you to the end of the world." He teases her. "Hey, you found your tongue." Nakusha says acting excited. "I forgot my tongue at home today morning." Dutta tells her seriously, "Luckily it was there on my table itself when I got home." he adds making her chuckle.
"What do you mean that you got the wrong tickets?" Nakusha asks shocked. "I booked it online, and I accidently booked the tickets for tomorrow instead of today." he says as he threw away the crumbled tickets. "Didn't you check the dates when you booked?" Nakusha asks shocked. "I somehow might have missed it." Dutta shrugs. "Did you check with the ticket counter whether you can get today's tickets and cancel this?" "It's full." "Oh! What to do now?" "There is no use standing here. I'll bring the car." Dutta tells her and walks off. Nalusha sighs disappointed; there goes the second date down the drain. She stomps her feet in irritation and that's when she sees the ticket on the floor. Idiot, threw the ticket away. Nakusha picks it up and tucks it in her jeans pocket to give it back to him. Maybe they can go tomorrow for the movie if he doesn't decide that they were a jinxed couple.
"Where are we going?" Nakusha asks as she realizes that he was not taking her to her house. "Now that you have climbed the great wall, it would be a waste to drop you back home." "So where are you taking me?" "No idea. Just driving around. Is there any place you want to go?" "Beach?" Madhu shrugs after thinking about it. Dutta drives towards the beach. They start aimlessly walking in the deserted beach. "I love the sea." Dutta tells her. "I like the beach more." Nakusha tells him. "Why?" he asks smiling. Nakusha shrugs, "I guess I like land more than water. I like walking in the beach more than playing in the waters." "I love bathing in the sea." Dutta tells her. "Are you going to bathe now?" Nakusha asks a little worried. "Come on, Nakku. Not on the first date." he says winking at her. okay that line said a lot of things. Nakusha decided. One, there were going to be more dates. Two, he planned to bathe in the sea one day with her watching. Three, that's it? Nakusha frowns; it felt like there were more meanings to that line than just these two. "What are frowning about?" Dutta asks. "Nothing. Just silly thoughts." Nakusha tells him smiling. They continued to walk around enjoying the cool breeze. Nakusha trips when her heel accidently digs into the sand a little too much. "Oops!" she shouts as she held his hand to break her fall. "Steady... steady." he says gently as he helped her up holding her hand. "Thanks." Nakusha says smiling. They resume their walk, Dutta's hand which was on her elbow slowly trails down and when it reaches her palms, they both interlock their fingers. They both turn to smile at each other as they walked hand in hand.
"So, how does it feel like hiding it from my sister?" Dutta asks. "I don't feel guilty because I know Roops." "That's good." "But I am just bursting from within as I so badly want to tell her." Dutta nods. "I am not going to tell her. It's your decision, you can tell her whenever you feel like it." Nakusha tells him. "Thanks for understanding, Nakku." Dutta tells her. In reply Nakusha smiles at him. "How did you get my number?" Nakusha asks remembering. "From my sister's phone." Dutta shrugs. "You went through her phone without her knowledge?" Nakusha asks disappointed. "No, just got your number." "Still, not cool." "Since it's your number, I am sure my sister is going to be very cool about it." Dutta tells her grinning. "That is also right." Nakusha mutters.
"Gawd! You like her? She can't act to save her life." Nakusha says disgusted. "Who was talking about her acting?" Dutta asks cheekily. "She is not that pretty also." Nakusha says frowning. "Again who was talking about her face?" Dutta asks grinning widely. "You pervert! You are sick!" Nakusha says hitting him on his chest making him laugh. "Come on, don't tell me you don't like someone solely because they have a sexy body." Dutta tells her. Nakusha thinks about Ian Somerhalder & Vidyut Jamwal and then shrugs, "No." "Don't lie. Tell me who came into your mind when I said that." "Ian Somerhalder and Vidyut Jamwal." Nakusha replies. "Okay, I thought you would say my name." Dutta says. "I haven't seen your body for your kind information." "All you have to do is ask, baby." Dutta says in a sexy tone winking at her. Nakusha stares at him in shock and then says "Okay, show me." Dutta starts grinning at her and starts unbuttoning his shirt. She watched him unbutton the first one, when he moved to the second one she shrieks and holds his hand "I was just trying to scare you." Nakusha says freaking out. "Button it up!" Dutta starts laughing out loudly. "I knew, Nakku. I was just calling your bluff." Dutta continues to chuckle as they resumed walking. "Vidyut Jamwal I have heard. Who is Ian Somerhalder?" Dutta asks. "Ian, my true love." Nakusha says dreamily. "I thought I was your true love." Dutta says in a calm tone though he couldn't control his frown. "You, in the real world." "You have another world?" Dutta asks confused. "Yes the world of tv, movies, books etc." "Any other love interests I should be aware of?" "Joseph Morgan." "Joseph Morgan?" Dutta asks frowning. "My ultimate true love." Nakusha says dreamily sighing. "Ultimate true love?" "Yes. Joseph Morgan, my Klaus." "Who the hell are these people?" Dutta asks exasperated and jealous. "People that I am never going to see in my life." Nakusha tells him realizing he was not liking the way she was talking about them. "It would be good if you never forget that." Dutta mutters in jealousy.
They talked about nothing and everything. "What's time?" Nakusha asks yawning. "3:40." Dutta replies amazed as he checked the time. "That late?" Nakusha asks shocked. "Yeah. I didn't realize it was getting really late." Dutta says as he stood up and gave her his hand to help her up. "Let's go." Dutta tells her and starts to walk. "Dutta." Nakusha calls him as she held his hand. "Yes?" he asks turning back. "Thanks for such a beautiful date. Whatever our tomorrow is, I'll never forget this." Nakusha tells him. Dutta smiles at her and moves closer to her and gently kisses her on her forehead and Nakusha closes her eyes contend. "I feel the same way, Nakku." Dutta tells her.
"Bye." Nakusha says smiling at him. "Bye." She starts to get out and remembering the tickets she turns back to him, "I forgot. Here are the tickets, maybe you could use it tomorrow." she says giving the tickets to him hoping he would ask her to go for the movie with him. "Where did you get that from?" he asks shocked. "I took it from the floor. You threw it away right. These are still valid righ.." she stops as she stared at the date. "These tickets were for today only." Nakusha says shocked. Dutta shuts his eyes embarrassed. "You lied?" Nakusha asks shocked seeing his expression. Dutta shrugs and says, "I was finding it easy to talk to you again, so I thought why waste time sitting in a theatre silently?" "I was wrong about you." Nakusha says shocked. Dutta looks at her wondering whether she was pissed or happy. "You are not that much of an idiot, after all." she says as she got out of the car and hurried to her house.
