so guys then i went on thinking that nakku is still the same, same nature same features and the same person but what is it that is making us differentiate between these two GORI nakku's?? (the gori nakku we saw previously and the gori nakku we see now!).......

i kept thinking and thinking till my head started to ache..and finally got an answer..from my POV the creatives have purposely made nakku look BOLD at anna's place........its the kamaal of make-up...earlier gori nakku used to wear make up but that was different ..and the mak-up used now is completely different.......i think the reason behind this is that the CV's want us to 'like' or rather 'prefer' kaali nakku!.... ever since her face has been revealed at anna's place mahi has been wearing heavy make up.., the red lipstick , the white face powder when she was dressed as a bride ...and MOST IMPORTANTLY , she was decked up in the item number ....the bright red lip colour, the intensely red blush on and the bold eyes....which made us feel resentful!!!!..( this kind of make up makes a girl look sassy, voluptuos and sensual but can never make one look 'beautiful')...and after these scenes we have disliked fair nakku ......this made us feel that fair nakku is very very bold and impudent.....so the Cv's made us dislike gori nakku......

AND , AND in contrast to this,

the CV's gave us a glimpse of the dark nakku testerday..(dutta's hallucinations) and the dark nakku yester day was wearing kaajal , and in that shot the lighting and the photgraphy played an important role...her face was photoshopped and her teeth flashed!!😆(am i wrong??)...and this made us fall for the dark beaty ...this is when we compared the dark nakku and fair nakku and concluded that dark nakku looks more sweet!😆...


so give it a thought guys y did we dislike fair nakku THIS tym? and why we preferred kali nakku...i think the Cv's have again tricked us ...now i understand why they gave us nakku's item number..probably it was for us to show resentment towards fair nakku...and again i must say that they have secceeded in making us like the dark nakku....ever since her face has been revealed we have not once seen her in soft make-up isnt it??

the Cv's have convinced us that kali nakku is good...we are preferring kali to gori but in the later tracks when nakku's face will be revealed to dutta then her make-up will be very different and indeed she will look 'beautiful'...now we say that we like blackish nakku but later we will also like the gori nakku...so in this way the CV's will again secceed in making us like the white nakku.....and the end result of this will be that the audience has loved the [B]black nakku (as we are doing now)...and have also loved the gori nakku (that will happen soon)...again proving that its the inner beaty not the outer beauty that matters....

for this guys again i would like to appretiate the efforts and plans of the CV's ...they can modify things in such a way that they always prosper in their job...soo...hats off to the Cv's again!!... 👏 👏 👏

Interesting topic. Truth be told, I don't think the CVs have put the thought in that you ascribe to them. The first fair Naku scene was meant to be sweet, because Naku is sweet. She was overdone makeup wise because she was to be a bride, thus fitting the situation. And the pole-less dance Naku performed, well that was just meant to be sensational and not too different from what actors dance like anyway on these award shows. In all of these, it was a simple matter of look fitting the scene. While it is an intriguing idea, I am convinced that there was not much to this whole conscious manipulation by CVs of makeup or attempts to impact viewers' perception in such a way.

Matter of fact, what the CVs are <font size="2">most afraid of is viewers not being able to empathize and/or accept gori Naku.</font> I'll tell you, that if they are reading our forum and some of our comments on the Naku dance, the fair Naku makeup...well, there's no way they will be repeating that mistake anytime soon. This transition from kali Naku to gori Naku is <font size="2">very, very risky</font>, creatively speaking. You would think it would be easy, as viewers would love to see a pretty face behind the dark one, but as you point out, I think even the CVs are surprised at how attached we are to kali Naku, her character, her strength, and her humility. And, believe me, they will be working overtime to ensure that the gori Naku is just as lovable and extra consistent with the kali Naku we know and love.

gp i understand ut view point but still i think that they did the pole less dance with a purpose..frankly speaking it was a well thought out decision to have a dance i dont think the CV's 'JUST' wanted to make it sensational..whatever theCV's do is with a purpose!

gp the viewers have been dying to HAVE GORI NAKKU...people not from this forum , but the general public is CRAVING to have gori nakku they are fed of this kali nakku..so the CV's are not afraid that we might not accept gori nakku...you tell me one thing why would we not want to have a BEAUTIFUL person in front of our eyes?? mahi is very beautiful and its obvious that we will accept her...just like how we had liked her in the white dress...didnt we accept her as a nakku then, even though she was gori?

hey dont name the make-up as a "MISTAKE" ..LTL make up artist is brilliant..whether it is kala's make up, leela's or anyone's the make up is always amazing..

the point here was that after we have seen her face ..she has always been shown in bold make up..she gave some horrible expressions i the pole dance..that was not needed for the story but was essential for ppl to 'not like gori nakku'...........frankly speaking my mum said that she has started to hate nakku afetr the pole dance..though it was anna imagining it..but is was DIRTY..her expressions too were bad! 😕

i think this is the khichri going on in the CV's minds..i seriously never felt that we will dislike gori nakku but looks like the CV's can make impossible things possible....aur aage jakar they will present nakku in sucha way that we will agn fall in love with the gori naku 😆

shikha so there is another similarity between us we both are so much alike!..we both must take law but my fate has something else for me😆..

That, I'll agree with you guys on. It's in the hands of the CVs and the CVs alone, as well as Anil Deshmukh. If they keep Kali Naku's character/inner strength, humility, and gentleness, then gori Naku will be equally loved. But, at least for me, it will take time, to get used to the context...and I think the CVs will do a thoughtful job of the transition. Looking forward to it.

Sorry it took so long for me to respond.

With regard to the dance sequence, yes, it was to show Anna's sick imagination. BUT, this could have been done in many ways that did not require viewers to feel ill or want to scratch their eyes out. 😆 You've got to admit, there was definitely a level of sensationalism to the dance--it was more provocative and perverse than it needed to be. I think we viewers would have gotten the point without having too many closeups of Naku's tummy, hips, bottom... 😆 I mean they could have focused the camera on the lips, or the eyes, or even a couple of her dance moves, without making her look like a who*e. And I think we would have gotten the point.

Yes, I agree that there are probably more viewers who are ready to finally see the true face of Naku. One because of the ugly duckling complex--wanting to see something not so beautiful turn into something beautiful at least visually and also because we want to see the truth come out and the relationship between these two people begin. While our forum may consist of people who are more attached or aware of the show, I think it is a somewhat good representation of people outside of this forum. We all want to see the reveal, finally!, but it has to be done properly. And I think the CVs understand that this is a big change, inevitable, but still a change--and they have to be careful with it. If the audience for whatever reason does not like the story around the reveal or the fair Naku's new identity or character, then that is a problem...for the relationship with Dutta and the show's loyal fans. That's all I meant by it.

On the makeup, yes, the artist is good, although Kala's makeup is more Aashka's doing than the makeup artist. By "mistake", I meant that in that scene where Naku dances or even the marriage one, I think the makeup was just too much. There is beautiful makeup and then there is overdone makeup. The mistake was that, even though it was only Anna's imagination as we remind ourselves often, the image of Naku with that flourescent like makeup, the dance moves, it assaults the eyes, the senses. We know it's imagination, not real, but it sticks to the fair Naku nonetheless. We are only now seeing the fair Naku after a long time, and bam! we see her like this and not in her simpler, beautiful avatar. I tend to believe, a person's image in whatever context (somebody's dream, e.g.), leaves an impression, and for me at least, it was not pleasant. But that will change once Naku is revealed in her simpler more beautiful form, and we see more of her. I know many disagree with me on this, but I hope as the CVs move the story forward, that they cut out Naku's talks to herself about her beauty. It's ok to wonder why is it that my face causes so many problems? It's another to wonder "why is my beauty such a shaap? why do men only see my beauty?" Again, it's all semantics...but between those two thoughts I offered up, there is the difference between what is perceived as humility/honesty and what is perceived as self-centerdness. Perhaps I am reading too much into the words. But choices of the words by Anil make a big difference.

I would love if the CVs were able to confirm this or not--but I am convinced that they did NOT INTEND for people to dislike gori Naku as a result of her mini-speeches in front of the mirror about her beauty, or the "dance"...I think they would be horrified to know that some viewers had such an adverse reaction.

GP I am getting the feeling you seem to be reacting strongly to Naku's/Mahi's look as a fair Naku. And you want the reveal to happen on one had and yet are scared that Naku's new look along with the actress MV's attitude will be a turn off. But I feel here you are jumping the gun here. Just chill! It will be fine! And this might be my interpretation but I didnt find Naku un-Naku like at all. MV looked dolled up yet glamourous with the bridal makeup just like most Indian brides do on their weddings.

As for the item song...maybe after seeing lots of other item numbers I have grown immune but I didnt find it that vulgar or sickening. The makeup was fine too in the item song.

Overall you seem to agree post reveal Naku's look will surely be different. I am very confident whatever look they give MV post reveal it will be well thought out. I maybe in the minority but I dont want Naku having a very simple look post reveal. She is the wife of a very wealthy man and should look it. I hope they give her a rich yet classy look.

But as of now Naku looks really pretty esp i Dutta's imagination with the dark coloring and unibrow. The clean teeth, combed hair and accentuating Naku's big eyes has made a lot of difference.

But Shreya, for me, it was a visual thing. I never deny that. And I mention in my post that it will take me time. My only point is that whenever and however the reveal happens, that the CVs will tread carefully as they transition from kali Naku to fair Naku...in terms of dialogs, scenes, and how they show the fair Naku physically (e.g. she should be beautiful yet simple, just like kali Naku. She can dress well, but let's face it, she should not be a fashionista like Kala). And yes, she is the wife of a wealthy man, but it's not like Dutta is wearing Armani suits or the like. Nor do I think he cares much for that stuff.

In general, item songs are just an opportunity to please the pubescent boys and men 😆 😆 😆. Just kidding! I'm not fond of them at all, and that does not matter--it's just my personal choice or opinion. It just seemed out of place on LTL, and I don't care if it was Anna's imagination. There are many ways of communicating that imagination without that "dance the way it was".

With my responses, I am just trying to explain the disconnect that I myself felt as they were starting to reintroduce the fair Naku to audiences. Not just with visuals, but with words, and scenes. I'm sure that others didn't feel that, and that's fine. It's just that I wanted to clarify where I was coming from. That's all.
