So, why DID Dutta marry Naku?

OMG! what an episode! I think it was one of the most well directed episode in LTL till date. Dutta gave up any semblance of being a civilized man....and needless to say I LOVED his caveman tactics. But what a fitting reply to his enemies eventhough he thought he is giving a fitting reply to naku.
But then comes the question why did Dutta marry Naku? He said she has given him the biggest present of his life(ie her love) and so he will give her the biggest prize of his life. He was obviously being sarcastic abt her feelings as if to say "yeh kaisa pyaar?".
naku too quietly took everything. she knew he was trying to hurt her and himself...but it was as if that gives him satisfaction then she will take whatever he gives her. plus she feels guilty for being responsible for his current state. so now coming back to the question-why did dutta marry naku?
-to punish her for loving him and yet betraying him?
-to punish her for loving a gangster like him and wanting to make her realize that she had made the biggest mistake of her life by doing so?
-to punish himself for not seeing thru supriya's fake love and naku's fake friendship?
-to punish himself for daring to believe in love again?

i agree with ur analysis.i think its a mixture of feelings for datta. i feel he has married naku to punish her for fake friendship,encouraging him to give sups a place in his life and later she herself helping sups to elope.he cudnt take 2 betrayals at a time from sups & naku & thought the best way to punish her wud be to marry her and make her suffer.

He said that he better marry her before she gave him more dhoka. but if she was going away as per kala's wishes what dhoka cud she give him? or by dhoka meant leaving him and going away like the other woman in his life?

shreya i think datta thought naku spoiled his life completely by betraying him and is now trying to get away by leaving the house.he was unable to shoot her but he badly wanted to punish her and thought the best way wud be to marry her & make her life a living hell.thats the only logic i can see.

I am really curious to see how he means to punish naku. he was so determind today...oh god!

so that he can taurcher her and later fall in lover for her....

Shreya, I would choose #1. He thinks she betrayed him bcoz she loved him and wanted him for herself and hence helped Sups elope......
Dutta wants to now punish her for betraying her and use her "love" as the means of torture....He would show whats it is to be a Mrs.Gangster and try showing that "u betrayed me and helped a gal escape bcoz u wanted to take her place, so, I will show u what goes in taking that place".....he will use her love to play with her feelings and make her life a living hell......He is angry and his best friend betrayed him (as per him), so, he is more hurt and hence in more vindictive mood.....

On the other hand, Naku kept quiet all this while and marries him not bcoz she was gettign what she always wanted but bcoz she can understand and feel his pain....she feels that if she just listens to him and do whatever he says (even marrying), she would do it without a wink, if that helps him forget his pain/reduces his pain even a bit.....She would I think take the stand of a silent observer and just zip her mouth and do whatever he says...whatever.......No complaints and uff whatever!!!!

Thats my take on the situation!!

Yes u do have a point...he is hurting and wants to hit out at the person who has caused him max pain. so maybe he wants to use her love and hurt naku.
i wonder if supriya's letter too is playing on his mind. afterall by marrying naku he is condemning her to a horrible fate of being a gangster wife/widow. so he wants to be as horrible as possible. thats why he lit up the holy fire with alcohol....gave up any semblance of gentlemanly behavior by first ordering his guards to restrain babi, then pushing naku and being rude to the pandit. not to forget he even didnt listen to his aai which he never does and also was ready to blow out baji's brains if he tried to come in his way.
but strangely admidst all this he wanted to take the pheras in the right way! 😆

Absolutely...Use her weakness - her love for him....and the worst part is that Kala used Naku's love against her to frame her and now she would keep dng it now.....I am waiting for Naku to make this love her strength.....
And yes, u r soooooooo right, Dutta will keep remembering Sups letter and keep torturing Naku, word to word.....That letter was pretty wicked, wicked enough to work on anyone mind....Horrible Sups....tut tut!!!

oh!! and I thought that there was defn a reason y he was litting up the fire with the alcohol....a symbolic reason, as if he wants to impurify a sacred thing like marriage.....(I wish they marry again when Dutta too falls in love).....

and the way he controls his Aayi....was amazing.... 👏 ...Frankly, I always thought that when Dutta comes to know the reality about the 3 witches and lets say BH is Aayi Saheb and he gets to know tht too, I always thought that this reality wuld weaken him.....It would kill him from inside as many times it has been mentioned that he lives for them....and with their betrayal he might think that this life is not worth living now that the ppl he lived for have betrayed him....and then Naku will support him and take things in her hand....Thats what I always thought seeing his relationship with these witches.......but today when he stops all these ppl (especially Aayi) in their tracks, was ready to take any step, such as kill them too, if they stop his wedding, I got this newfound confidence that he would not break when the truth comes out.....The lion inside him with submerge and teach these ppl a lesson.....

and I too noticed how he asked the pandit, whether he shld walk first or shld it be the gal..... 😆 ....He wants to make sure that tomorrow noone nullifies his marriage with Naku....sab to bhag jaati hain......yeh na bhaag jaaye.... 😆

and did he not say in his interview that Dutta marries in all hosh-o-hawaaz.... 😛
