My SPA analysis !!!!

A kind note : Please stay away if you want to bash any actor, country, religion, fellow member, me or alien.....😆 (this list is not exhaustive....)

This is simply my personal opinion.....you are free to agree or disagree with everything here.....Discuss the topic, don't fight here.....

Its really a tough task to write about awards. To start with, I give Thumbs down to this year's awards….Reason:

1) Faulty nominations and faulty winners

2) Important categories like Favourite Kid, Dada-Dadi, Nanand, Jeethani, missed ( am sure there are more that they have missed

3) Utter confusion regarding "Critics awards" and "Viewers choice". Many categories that were open for voting on indya.com turned out to be "Critics category" example Khalnayak category……….Can someone explain this to me

Acts:

3/10…..What has happened to SPA? I can watch SPA 2007 any time and it's a laugh riot. This year was simply very "Pheeka". Star CEO's speeches are always impressive. This year, new CEO had zero impact. Mr Nair used to give one rocking statistics about Star every year. It seems that there are no rocking statistics left for Star….

Compering was bad overall 3/10……the acts with one old and one new member were OK, Daksha and Robbie rocked……

Gabbar-Mokambo , JJWS, Mouni and company's dances were good.

There is something between Shabbo-Panchi😉. Finally I have to agree😆. They were dancing really close and were quite comfy. Specially Panchi, she is never so comfy while dancing😉…….As usual Michians didn't leave anything to say on this topic. They were hottest ……👏

Award Winners:

Do I need to say more than "It was organised by Balaji Events" ? They desperately tried to downplay Bidai……but you can't deny the fact that Bidai and Baa Bahu Baby are light years ahead of you Ekta…..time to wake up and start paying those "Kreatives"😉

Mandira got award for doing Sautengiri for 10 episodes? Achint is a top class actress and I love her, but she was the least deserving candidate this year…..Rishika, Ayesha were too good and deserved this award….

Ganga got Devrani award. I love her ( really Neha aka shilpa-fan)……but hello, she is not married to Sahil anymore…..then how come she is a "Devrani" to anybody?

Tripti deserved the award and got it. It was Survana's first award, so I am happy for her …ummmm, not that happy, but got to say she was better than my Saasha ……😭😭...Though Red carpet compensated it all😍

Don't want to say about controversial Ekta's favourites....

Sakshi got two awards……very very well deserved……so was Kamal….👏

Smriti Irani rocks……her speech was really very good. She was the only one who acknowledged that fact that "Betis have taken over Bahus" on Star👍🏼…….the way she referred to Sadhna was too gracious. More gracious was that Sadhna stood up when Smriti was referring her name👏 . Never seen Sara Khan's serial, but there is something very positive and sweet about her and I liked her……Smiriti's referrerence to Parvati and the things she said about Tulsi-Parvati was rocking…….I love Smriti, her very big heart and her humbleness. Smriti, you rock baby…….👏

Acceptance Speeches:

1) Alok Nath – Trust the veteran actor Alok Nath to put Bidai on the podium . He knew that Balaji would never let Bidai team hog the limelight. He called the entire Bidai team on stage for his award and they all announced their arrival. Specially, when Alok said " Neend tut jaye, lekin sapna naa tootey" and how they have managed to come up so well in such less time……Way to go Alok ji, you know all the tricks of trade and you did it for Bidai…..👏

2) Gattu – I loved it when he said "Baa you get only one type of award, I get different awards"…..Trust Gattu to give one liners in his acceptance speech…….👏

3) Shabbo – God, will you ever give any speech? 😡😆Tina said it all when she said that Hussain wins it every year, but with Shabbo's winning, she doesn't mind that Husi is not nominated😉……Shabbo is everyone's best friend . The way he hugged Hiten when he lost Jodi award👏…….way to go Shabbo….you rock, but please get haircut and shave…..😆...

On a personal note, Sumit should have gotten this award……if only he wasn't a non-Balaji ………😆

4) Smriti is always number 1…….👏

5) Hiten - I loved it when he said "The best award is confidence that people have in me when they say "go get your award"…..👏

Shocking things:😲

1) Gautami Kapoor didn't get any award. Not that she deserved one, but I thought she will get some award…..

2) Baa didn't get any award

3) Om didn't get anything

4) Ronit roy didn't get any award

5) Ragini lost her awards

6) Sumit-Kumkum nomination was not even shown or mentioned...😲

Adorable Stars :

1) Smriti Irani, as usual was very gracious

2) Sadhna, when she called Ragini on stage , saying its incomplete with her….

3) Karan Patel rocked. He was so happy even when he lost his awards to Hiten and Shabbo….he was whisteling for Kasturi…

4) Baa Bahu Baby team as usual was truly bindaas as audience. They all seem to be really close to each other and pull each other's leg….

Over all, this year SPA wasn't "Mazedaar"…….there was something missing…..All kyunki characters getting awards where as it was called "Nayi Leher"....leaving non-balaji shows like Kumkum and trying to downplay Bidai wouldn't help ………coz "Public hai jo sab janti hai…public hai"…

Chalo, shuru ho jao baccha party........lekin zara pyaar se..........

😆 😆 somethin is on between SHACHI for sure... and i was shocked that Ronit didnt get any award he is one my fav.... 😕

On that note, you are so right about the awards being a set up. I dont feel like the awards are true critics awards any more. Otherwise non desercving and totally ridiculous actors wont get any of these awards. But hey the most positive thing is, its over for one full year. Yeyyyyyyyyyyyy! next year dekha jayega. I wont even bother watching any videos. Why waste mah valuable time? You said it all! 😉.

I loved Smriti's grand Comeback Welcome Speech. She looked gorgeous and Ekta was very happy too.

I have not watched the SPA yet 😳 But get back to u, after watching it, I ll watch it tonight.

My 2 cents:

Performances:

I liked Prem-Heer's act, I could really see something definitely developing between them two, for sure.

Hiten was awkward while dancing with Shweta, especially when he was turning.

Shabir-Prachi's dance was nice but I didn't see any eye contact between them two that can convince me that they are dating. If they are, I will be happy for their fans. I cannot say that they are a real-life couple or not because Shabir gels with all of his female counterparts who dance with him. Prachi looked pretty in the sari she had worn for the red carpet but performance outfit was okay.

Hussain's performance, guy from Raja Ki Ayegi Barat, and Don performances I liked. These three were really good.

Bidaai girls..., I just don't find myself having any specific likening towards them, they were extra sugary. But the entire Bidai team has spirit for each other and together as a team.

Likewise with Kis Desh Mein..., the entire team had a lot of team unity and spirit.

Seeing these two units reminded me of SPA 2004 when there was an entire gang of Kyunki at the awards, and they all cheered for each other.

I liked Kamal, Ketki-Karan's comedy acts. They were funny. So was Tasneem and Gattu.

On the contrary, I don't think the awards were rigged. Maybe the critics were, but the popular votes weren't because the pleasure and happiness on the actor's faces cannot be pre-judged. That's why I think none of the actors knew beforehand if they were going to win or not.

My most loved parts:

Hiten-Gauri's performance..., although they cannot dance..., the way they look into each other's eyes is enough for any fan to enjoy watching them. Hiten just has this smouldering look in his eyes when he is looking at Gauri. And Gauri, although tends to concentrate on trying to get the step right but when she also looks at him, there is enough heat to generate electricity on its own 😉

When both Hiten and Gauri get their individual awards. The look of proud and pleasure on each of their faces showed how much they are happy for each other and each other's success.

When Gauri blew a kiss to her in-laws, it goes to show she loves them a lot and holds their love in high-esteem.

Seeing Hiten Gauri with their friends...Gautami and Karan Patel. The happiness for Hiten-Gauri each getting an award in Bahu and Beta category was shown on Karan's and Gautami's faces.

Prem-Heer, were nice to see as mentioned before. I like them two as a couple and Harshad is HOT.

Even though it was a Balaji produced show, Bidai team and Baa Bahu Aur Baby did win awards. But since Balaji has more shows on Star Plus and as a group generate trps, that's why they overshadow other serials.

I think Baa Bahu aur Baby won more awards than Kyunki Saas team.

If you are a Hiten-Gauri fan (as a couple), Bidaai, and Baa Bahu Aur Baby shows, then one should watch it.

Last years.....SPA gave grand welcome to KTH and BBB....Bidai didn't get any sort of welcome....forget the "Grand" part.....I am shocked at how Star as a channel not celebrate entry of Bidai team in Parivaar...Is it coz BBB is a weekend show and KTH was Balaji?.....

My 2 parts were not working....so I missed some acts😭

Bidaai was celebrated this year because after SPA 07, the show started garnering interest and veteran actors (lady from Haasratein) which resulted to trps.

I also want to mention that all IF members keep on talking about favorites won when it comes to Hiten-Gauri winning. But let's face it: Sauvarna, Jay B, Milind, Prachi Brora, and Gautami are also part of Ekta's camp. So why not something regarding them is spoken of?

Ronit Roy, Ram Kapoor, Hiten Tejwani, Jay B, Milind, Sauvarna, and the 3s wives are all part of Ekta's exclusive list. Just as loudly as Ekta cheered for Hiten-Gauri (especially for Gauri), she cheered just as well for Milind and Prachi. So there is no chance of anything being rigged for Ekta's favorites because MICHI is part of that list.
