Going by Pranbir's history it wasn't much surprise that Prachi trusted him over Maya. I was watching old Pranbir scenes. When Ranbir took the blame of drugs over himself to save Prachi and Prachi just knew that he can't do something like drug dealing. So basically since the time they were not even friends they had this unshakable trust in each other. So obviously it is growing and becoming stronger with each passing day. Rhea is just wasting her time and energy.

Not just that,Ranbir has always made it vocal to not hurt girls. Even in the robbery track,he was telling the robbers to not touch the girls and he stood for Prachi's respect during diwali and almost took a bullet for her trying to save her from a forced marriage and the MMS thing. A guy who stood for a girl's respect against his own family and guests and in front of everyone would never take a girl's respect away like that even when he isn't in his senses. The best part was he saw Prachi before going unconscious during lohri and unlike other ITV's male leads he didn't get close to her instead pushed her away thinking there's something wrong

That's why I said they both have this strong trust in each other that makes them a very unique couple. Never seen a couple having this much trust in each other. Not only Ranbir, Prachi too understands him better than himself, except perhaps in the matter of his feelings for her.
