Think about it. He's in a serious relationship with Tanu and he calls her by her name. The reason he even started calling Pragya 'chashmish' and 'fuggy' was to tease her. Initially, he called her 'chashmish' to make fun of her disability and to make her feel bad. He then gave her the name fuggy to get off of that meaniness.

I think it'll be kind of hot and just plain amazing when he calls her Pragya. Especially when they are romancing. Imagine him calling her Fuggy while he's romancing.

She has name for a reason.

I remember abhi telling he gave pragya the name fuggy out of so much love and she is not understanding ( he said it to purab and bulbul when he was drunk )
And so I liked the name .
I don't know about chasmish, when. He calls her fuggy I feel he has so much attachment towards her unlike tanu.

Don't like abhi calling pragya pragya at all. if fuggy is over , he can give her a new name. If he calls her pragya it feels like heis calling a stranger. That's so not Abhi-like.

Oh yes Aafrah. the awkwardness does play a major role in it, but I do think he is accepting her as his wife. He may not love her (yet), but definitely he's thinking her as wifey material. Even today, he was looking for his diary and was like, "Pragya! Meri diary kither hai?" Mainly, I think the awkwardness is there because he has a certain commitment towards Tanu. He can't just leave her because he's just THAT loyal (like Purab said), but he doesn't WANT to leave Pragya either. He's getting serious towards her, hence the transition to the name 'Pragya'. I like the way this is going because them being friends was good, but this serious "thinking and longing" for each other is way better. At one point, Abhi did have an attatchment towards Tanu. He would always find excuses to leave from parties and get to her. Even then he would call her 'Tanu' (by her real name). We just don't want to accept this because we're favoring the real "meant to be" jodi - AbhiGya. After all, they are the real hero-heroine of this show. We have a mindset to basically say what Tanu and Abhi had was not real.

@Krishna I agree with your deep analysis with the nicknames. I also, agree that he had his own set of nicknames for Tanu - baby, darling, etc.

Hopefully, he starts calling Pragya some of these soon! ;)
