The police came and did not ask..whether prathana agrees with the wed

This annoyed me so much how comes she did not say anything no consent or asking what she wants

Even if she agreed or not to be with Shiv still I believe police would've tried to dismiss her statement and convinced her ki shadi hochuki hai jo ki real bhi hai qnki groom is actually very rich and bride ki toh jese kismat khul gayi . Societal norms par hi police bhi chalti especially aise cases mein .

Jo hua prathna ke saath she was shocked to the core ki kuch introspect kar hi nahi payi. Aur Seema galat bhi nahi thi jo usne prathna ko boli after marriage bhale hi that ssems rude and cruel but woh sach bhi tha. Jis society se prathna ki family belong karti hai wahan toh unko log judge karenge ki shadi suda ladki ki doli gayi nahi aur baap ke ghar mein baith gayi jiska effect choti behen and pura family par jarur padta . Log gande gande taane maar maar ke unka jeena behal kar dete.

Prathana would have said yes only not no because her mom wants her to go with that stranger

In reality too no woman can go to police and file complaint against own husband or family for abuse and physical assaults or rape

First thing police do is this is family issue resolve it at home they will try to treat it as family fight to be resolved in 4 walls of home

That is a major reason many women never go to police to file complaint on own husbandor boy friend etc whether he hits or rapes - everyone knows no case will stay or be filed
