Pragya's Spine - Page 2

I have been watching daily soaps for the last 11 years. Must have watched abt 50 of them. I do find Pragya slightly different from some heroines I have watched. An "ideal"daily soap heroine wud have treated her pati as parmeshwar just becoz she was married to him and no other reason. She wud have always been polite to aaliya as she is the sis in law no matter how rude aaliya was ..instead of giving back to her sumtimes. An "ideal" soap heroine wud not have walked out after her first marriage night onbeing forced into a fraud marriage but instead wud have tried to win her hubby back by being an ideal wife. She wud never had said do watever u want with ur gf as long as u dont affect my family. She wud have spent that effort in winning this husband over by competing with the other woman or something like that just to show she is the wife material and thr other woman is worthless. At least pragya has not got into a im the best wife competition with Tanu yet.

Given what you're saying, you are right then - I probably would be enjoying this show more had it not been my first one. I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to watch a show where a heroine has basically non-existent motivation for her actions. At least here, there's a pretense of a sick (annoying) mother. Flimsy though it may be, if one accepts its existence, one can potentially still find a way to relate to the main character. I'm having a hard time relating to Pragya lately, but it is unfair for me to assume others are as well.

I don't want to presume too much, but you and I seem to be in agreement on many things. So I will say that once you get attached to a show and things are shown that you cannot condone or "just go with the flow" with, then you will be riled up. Regardless of how many shows you have watched.

I have watched too many soaps to count... more than I wanna admit to 😳 AND unfortunately many of Ekta's soaps as well. ArVi of Pavitra Rishta being one of my faves and Ekta ruined them so badly, yet here I am, attached to another show and another jodi of hers.

The heroine always starts out strong and then slowly her backbone disappears, her fortitude diminishes and her spine dissolves. Whenever we think that we can see it again and its about to come out from the clouds hiding it like sunshine, it just goes back behind the clouds again.

So... I voted NO, the Pragya of past may never see the future! But, this is one time I hope to be proven wrong! 😊

p.s. Also, all of Ekta shows there have always been "another woman" and some cases the wife does go into competition with one to show she is better. But some of them are like Pragya.

Bani of Kasam se didnt reveal who she was to Mr. Walia... she was more concerned about getting her kids back than she was about getting him back. Archana brought Sharvani into the house to marry Manav for whatever reason. Hell, even right now Ishita brought Shagun home to sleep in the room she shares with Raman. Soo... always another woman involved and always a silly heroine.

So... they can be both ways...

Me too! I mean, I don't need her to give him a burji (sp?) speech or call him Ravan again but for serious? Did she say an opposing word at the hospital at all? He insulted her faith, threw a vase near her, and acted like he has a higher ground to stand on when everything he accused her of were things he himself has done. Why does no one remind him that he and his looney tunes sister got this revenge party rolling? It's embarrassing to watch her hold her tongue out of gratitude for (minimal) actions of basic human decency.

Sigh. You're right (and please feel free to presume as we almost always agree) - I am attached and as such, I will never just be okay with this.

I chose the 4th option. Pragya's spine is still very much attached to her, just resting (a long break)! Didn't she just slapped Tannu? Didn't she tell Tannu off only yesterday?? Well in KKB land, that is!!

Pragya spine is bent because of her mother. Her love for her mother is her weakness.

aaliya's weakness is purab
sarla's weakness is pragya
BB's weakness is pragya and family
abhi's weakness is dadi and aaliya
purab's weakness is BB
suresh's weakness is rachna
taiji's weakness is property
tannu's weakness is abhi
pragya's weakness is sarla...BB...abhi
dadi's weakness pragya and abhi

everyone has a weakness and its making them either psycho...irritating...stupid...spineless...cowards...dumb...brainless and the list can go on...

She still has her spine. It's just dormant momentarily.
