Q - some one mentioned army background for Suresh. True in the show? Or is that only a Col. Brandon left-over?

Yes true!! Pragsy goes on a rant abt it when they face Neil in his office in like episode 8 or smthg. And there's a pic on his bedroom wall w him in fatigues w his combat unit. Those are 2 things I know for sure, there were probly other hints in those early eps I didn't watch closely.

From a writers pov I understand the need for a solid premise (witness my months of problems w my fav wip - hookup - bc I couldn't pin down the premise establishing scene). But as a fan of serials...used to flimsy premises!!

Basically you take one piece of insanity - one outrageous assumption - and build a story of real feelings around it.

Like math, you know. Based on a handful of core immaterial (as in not concrete) assumptions. But like magic, the systens built on it work!!

I know Mina. But i can't get my brain wrapped around lack of logic - especially in my own writing. One reason why the last update of BnB is taking so long. Maybe no one will notice it, or most wont anyway, but i know where the lack of logic is, and i just keep at it and keep at it till i get it to a level of illogic i can handle (which even now is too much btw). So, if i didn't cook up a premise i can live with, the story will never happen. I have control issues i tell ya!

Suresh and army background is something I can't relate to. Yeah they have indicated so, but never gave us a story right? May be he didn't have the typical army man thing. Might not have fit in and left army?
