Priyanka ki bua- Nupur Alankar reunites with her in laws- TOI

Marriage is not a union of just two people, but two families. And sometimes, it takes a lifetime to win them over. Ask actress Nupur Alankar, who's been estranged from her husband's family for 14 years. She entered her sister-in-law's (actress Priyanka Saini) house for the first time last month, since her marriage with actor Alankar Srivastava in 2000. The two couples (Nupur-Alankar and Priyanka-Navin Saini) celebrated their wedding anniversary, which coincidentally falls on the same day. The actress was apparently barred from entering her in-laws house as they didn't approve of their son's (Alankar's) choice.


Says a friend of the family, "Following a lot of misunderstanding between her and Priyanka post marriage, Nupur had vowed that as she was the elder bhabhi, she will enter Priyanka's house only after she does her griha pravesh aarti. That day finally came on their wedding anniversaries."

When contacted, Nupur, revealed, "Yes, we share our wedding anniversaries and this is the first time that my husband and I decided to celebrate it with them. Priyanka was stunned to see me at her door. She then insisted at doing my aarti and welcomed me in. I'm happy that we could share our happy moments with each other. I pray that Priyanka and Navin work on their marriage on a daily basis, just like the way we do."
