Nidhi initiated it and Ashu went along hoping that it would cement their relationship. The heady passion that Ashika shared will be absent from Ashni relationship. Ashni is driven by affection and concern. Ashu loves Nidhi, he will remain faithful to her and they will have their share of nok-jhok but passion would be absent. It is more like loving someone because she loves you and is the mother of your child...love driven by a sense of duty...there won't be any love child in Ashika's life but Ashni relationship is in for trouble

Well, if this is Ashutosh's attitude towards Nidhi, and he has truly been unable to exorcise the ghosts of the past, then not surprising that their relationship is headed for trouble...!

No woman would like to know that her husband is bound to her by duty and their children...particularly when she has given herself to him heart and soul...poor Nidhi...but I guess she invited this on herself when she went ahead and married a man in love with another woman!

He married Nidhi because he felt obligated to do so, he forged a relationship because he was duty bound to stay with her for the rest of his life...He will remain faithful to her because that again is his duty. He will be torn between his other 'duties' in future...

Exactly Vidishaa...am sure you are going to come up with situations where Mallika will need his support for whatever reason...and having betrayed her in the past, he is going to feel duty bound to be there for her...not to forget his love for her...

At least on the show, Nidhi was secure in the fact that Ashutosh loved her and only her..what he felt for Mallika was never anything more than friendship...and yet she felt insecure...whereas, here Nidhi knows that Ashutosh married her out of a sense of duty...and Mallika was his true love...so, she is bound to feel threatened manifold by any 'duty' bound gestures that he makes towards Mallka...she will never be able to see them as purely platonic...this is a far more painful situation than what the show's Nidhi ever faced!

Most of the previous scenes will come in either Nidhi or Ashu's flashback

It is the worst kind, if you ask me...it is not a onetime act...you have an invisible third person living with you all the time...and that is not pleasant in the least...I would hate to be in Nidhi's shoes...

If you ask me, Nidhi needs time and space to gain perspective...she has a placid and balanced life on the surface...but something that lacks depth and could crumble easily in the face of threat...their children are the biggest binding factor ...but is that enough for a woman...how does it feel to know your husband is staying with you out of obligation and a sense of duty more than love...the children may not permit her to leave Ashutosh when she knows...but maybe her work can provide her with that opportunity for emotional and physical space...she needs to move away and see if the man will come back to her,...not because he wants the children but because he wants her...

And Ashutosh also needs this time and space to gain perspective,...he needs to evaluate his feelings for Nidhi too...and decide whether what he has is worth holding on to...and not just for the sake of the children...

A temporary separation is on for sure...with unlimited access to the children and only the children!

Nidhi jumped at the opportunity to marry Ashutosh with the alacrity of a teenager...this will be the first time she will do some introspection...I wanted the story to go in this track, hence the name sanjog...but I feel I mislead quite a few ppl into believing that it will be a virasat style romance

Be careful what you ask for, you might just get it...and then you will find that it is not really what you thought it would be ...and it is now too late even to let go!

Btw, I think your story is more Kuch Kuch hota hai or Silsila than Virasat...

Of course, SRK does not marry Rani out of duty.,...but the fact is Kajol is his true love and he does not recognize that...what if Kajol had come back into his life and Rani had been still alive..I think that is what is happening here!

Get a man for Nidhi...someone who admires her and wants her as a woman...am not suggesting an affair...just something to soothe her ego...she needs to feel wanted...and Ashutosh needs to look at Nidhi from outside the prism of duty...he needs to be able to see her as a woman who is worthy of desire...and for that, he needs another man's perspective...till then, she will remain the woman who is madly in love with him and whom he married out of pity!
