I think Ashutosh realizes this...and he is doing exactly this...in terms of not pushing her...and the discussion on shared responsibilities may not go well when her mind is so firmly against the idea...so he has chosen not to push his luck...a very sensible and wise approach!

sujatha but then there is DB who has a habit of bickering about it til she ahs her own way and listening to her ,it evokes ashu ka desire for kid too...am happy he did not push it but agreed to her ...though i have a feeling she will herself want a kid soon

Good post Tanu. Desire of becoming parents is every married persons reality. Ashu is not an exception. Being orphan or insecurity may be there but I don't think that is shown till now as a reason, it is only we feel. I feel his only concern is his age as he wants to be a father and fulfill all the duties towards his child and time is running out of his hand. Last episode he told Nidhi that they should understand each others wish and majboori. His majboori is his age.

Age is one of the issues. .cannot b the only issue..! DBs AGE AGE jaap is the trigger.. there can b various latent emotions..which can come into play in this..! 😳

@Sujatha... i agree marriage is about one partner giving a bit more than another.. but this is not the issue that Nidhi has to give in... infact she has given the most since the start.. and it is time Ashu encourages Nidhis dreams n supports them..! She din say NO to him.. she just asked for some time... n i think.. Ashu isnt that old that he cant spare that much time.. esp when we live in the day n age of Rupert Murdochs Michael Douglas .. who r all late fathers with younger wives! 😊

You are right, Koyel...Age is the topmost factor so far as Ashu is concerned...but, although he is not verbalizing his feelings, his insecurities are definitely a factor...it is these latent insecurities that have been triggered off by DB's words and brought up this demand for a child... and he is worried that he won't have the opportunity or enough time to enjoy these bonds that he longs for if it is left till too late...!

Time is not the issue, Tanu...the question is how much time...but that is a call that neither spouse can take independently...it has to be a joint decision after factoring in everything...and yes, it is not uncommon for older men to become fathers...although Douglas already had children from his previous marriage...his children with Catherine Zeta Jones are not his first...

I am not saying that Nidhi should fall pregnant tomorrow...but her asking for a few years seems a little unrealistic to me...but again, that is entirely a matter of opinion!

M purely answering the AGE issue... and i think.. Ashus reasons r far too short sighted in that regard..they are married not even two-three months n his demand is pretty unpalatable to me.. personally..!

Agree its a matter of opinion .. n so firmly on Nidhis side vis a vis her desire for achieving something atleast in her career.. ! 😳
