As i was waching yesterdays episode... it suddenly struck to me...
In K3G there is a scene in which having met several years later.. SRK and Jaya share a poignant moment... which is wrought with happiness.. sadness.. elation.. heartache .. in short a rainbow of emotions..!
Amidst that reunion ... there is a scene in which.. SRK turns to where Kajol & their kid (in the movie) r standing.. n points to the kid n indicates to himself.. n looks at Jaya ..as if saying.. 'HE IS MINE'
If u remember SRK was an orphan too in the movie.. who was taken in by AB Snr n Jaya ...!
I was just wondering... Ashus desire for a CHILD ..aka the BLOOD of his own.. is after all .. not so much out of place..! 😳

that was one of the most beautiful scene in the movie tanu...and nopes you are not wrong...infact his desire to have his own flesh and blood is strong coz now he has a family ...his want for a child is not out of place ...given both his age factor and him being an orphan...also this would be the ultimate binding factor between him and nidhi...his insecurities are not going to vanish soo easy ...hence he needs constant assurance and he grabs onto anything that provides him that ...at some level he is still scared nidhi would leave him..hence him sulking the moment she gives priority to anything or anyone else other than him

ohh damn now am feeling bad for ashu😆

Good comparison Tanu. Am sure Ashu has a sense of belonging and security only now and he wants to strengthen it with a child of his own.

Nice post Tanu - the scene u r describing is one of the best scenes in the movie. SRK was so so emotional in that scene - when he proudly shows his son to his mom.
Ashu has been an orphan and it must be playing on his mind that he would like to give that love and affection to some one - which he has missed in his childhood. Apart from that he has always been emotional about the relation "Baba"..and it is not surprising that he wants to be one too...Ashu has a valid desire and as he told Nodhi yesterday - they should both understand and respect each others desires and majbooris...

Tanu, a child is every man's shot at perpetuity...he will continue to live on through his lineage...and for an orphan, whose identity itself is under question, the desire for perpetuity will be that much greater...he desperately yearns for that connect...even Baba is not all his own...Nidhi has a blood tie with him and thus, Ashu is still an outsider...he wants to have someone in this world who will belong to him in every sense of the word, someone who will be a part of him...a part that can never be rejected...he is yearning for that absolute acceptance...

And yes, his insecurities are also coming into play...he wants to ensure that Nidhi is tied to him forever...a child that will connect the two of them by blood...a bond that can never be broken, neither by law nor by death!
