First of all I would like to thank mods and development team to let us have such an awesome contest.. We normally get the opportunity to read them individually..Here we got everyone's on a single stage.
I liked every story and it was really a difficult task to select one..almost all of them are on the favourite AshNi's love story except one- which is on Mallika's exit... and I relished reading variations of this ever green topic...most hilarious to thought provoking... finally, very pleasant over all.
I am not analyzing much here about the entry #1, #2, #3 here.. as most of us have chose them as our favourites...
If there was also a critics choice, I would like to choose entry #5.. This story gave a new perspective.. the AshNi love story is about AshNi.. no place for Mallika in it... I liked that point so much in this story... and I donot know whether the author deliberately done...but the way the writing technique ' continuous stream of consciousness' is explored... Author has done it so effortlessly and yet so beautifully...and experimented with its variation!!! This technique is capturing the continuous thought process from a person's perspective while conscious about the environment and give a word shape to it.. This is very difficult !!!😊
Here the variation is, expressions from two characters were captured...and intermixed!!!!... and the entire scene is so visible in front of our eyes in 3D... then there is a third character Lakshmi... but the difference between the depth of the main characters and the view of Lakshmi is also clearly maintained...
In all, it was like reading a poem through which I was travelling... In this journey, on my sides, it was raining and there... opposite to me is the Primary health centre where lakshmi is seen coming with a lamp through the sheets of rain...oh! such a beautiful ending...no..no..a lead left to be continued...
In my view, the author deserves a standing ovation...

👏
(Of course, unfortunately this is a OS contest but not for the writing techniques... Though, the most romantic in me, chose #5, I had to vote for #2 for its overall completeness.)
Last, but not the least, two lines about Entry #4.. It is mine... when I read it first about this contest in Tanu's post and about the topic "AshNi love story", 'Apple' was the first thing came to mind..'Apple' is so thoroughly used in the literature in association with the concept 'love' since ages... Then I started searching through all over... Bible / literature by various writers / children stories / moral stories / anecdotes/ idioms & phrases / quotes / scientific literature...and what not... A comprehensive literature survey was done...
It occupied me so much that, though the last few days of the contests' deadline, due to an unforeseen emergency I had to stay back at the work place, I grabbed a PC to compile the story with appropriate sayings / quotes to fit exactly for AshNi story... I never liked Mallika be focussed in bad light... I gave her a bit from Solomon's song related to the Bible... My favourite lines were Rohan's and CB's...
This particular compilation is a special and a satisfying one to me because of the hardwork I put in it... Thanks to Tanu and Shivangi for the timely help when there was a problem with emoticons and A big 'THANK YOU' to all those who hit the 'Like' button... :)
