Well girls do have the same freedom as guys once they are educated and become financially independent. Its just that majority of the girls choose to do it and thus they are expected to do it. So yes I will do it as its my life, therefore my decisions .

Good topic Vivek...yes I Agree..Girls in Interiors and Having Middle class back ground Have difficulty in taking their own decision..Taboo like Honour,Family Name..Society Pressure lingers on them...

Even today Lovers are hanged to death or killed in many parts of India as Honour Killing...😡

But an educated Independent Woman Has clear mind.. she knows What she wants..and dsnt succumbs to society pressures...That is Today's Woman...👍🏼

For Me..Yes I am in position to make my choices...😊

Standing in the 21st century where we speak of equality of sexes where we r taught that a girl is equivalent to a boy ...i dont find any reason as to y a girl cannot take her own decisions...but sadly enuf in our country even today they cant...according to me this is sheer disrespect to womanhood itself...celebrating woman's day every year wont solve the purpose until and unless people learn to respect a woman and her decisions rather than forcing her to do something...one shld remember that after all its her life and she is the person who is going to lead the life so the decisions shld also b her own and not someone else's.

Women are rising above these age old social norms, but yet in a lot of small towns and villages women are not allowed to exercise their basic right - freedom, freedom to educate themselves, freedom to follow their passions, their career and finally freedom to choose their life partners. So society has a long way to go for them.

But, in large urban cities, women have become more independent and assertive. They are competing with men in every area, sometimes doing better than them. They have gained financial independence and the confidence to achieve their goals. These women have asserted their individuality in all aspects of their life including selecting their partners. I know coz I am one of them. My parents gave me a good education, always supported me in every decision and now my husband does the same.

I think that girls are more sensitive than boys . Thats why its more difficult for them to choose between their pyaar and parivaar .
Inspite of the education and freedom given to them without any restricions . Nature of girls cannot be changed , they can't see there loved ones in pain . Since girls are more attached to their parents ,it's really difficult for them to hurt their parents. And that's what is shown in the show.
Nidhi is facing the same problem.
If nidhi wants she can go against her family as she is financially independent , but her inner voice does not allow her to do so .

if a girl is given the freedom then there is no question of choosing between family and love...
