Nidhi knew very well the problems could come.Anji warned her in the beginning,Mandira issue made it clearer.But perhaps she did not think about what to do next in that circumstances.so at least this time she was fully dependent on Ashu to come to convince her Baba.The better logic may be she was covinced that she would finally manao her Baba sooner or later.But later Baba reacted more negatively than she expected.That may be the logic.
Waise bhi agar mushkil se nahi gujre tp Pyaaar ki Takaat kaise dikhne milenge?

Well, I agree with you guys abt cvs wanting to establish and get acceptance for sk as new ashu

but when i try to analyse nidhi's situation, she has been fighting everything allong from last many days. Of course she has support from anjie and rohan, but there is only limited they can do for her. Ater a good v-day celebration, she has gone thru:

1. DBs dhamaka on mandira, which was like a wake up call right in the middle of the most beautiful dream of her life.

2. The very support for mandy, which made ashu a hero in her eyes made him a villian in DB's eyes and she started hating him like poison just becoz he did not agree to her viewpoint

3. Shyama's ultimatum

4 Just when she was mustering up her courage to tell her baba, with ashu's support, ashu was called away.

5. Though they were in touch via phone, lack of his presence at such crucial stage, must have brought down her morale

6. Nihan Bomb, when shen she and ashu were dreaming of seeking blessings from her family for their relationship.

7. She had to confess her relationship in front of her family and face it all alone.

8. Ashu's accident and later suspected death. Even in these situation, her family, esp. db was constantly spitting venon on ashu and wishing his death

9. taking mallu's bitter words and blame for ashu's death

10. alone fighting the world and going with her conviction of ashu being alive

11. searching for ashu for days together

12. finally finding him and hardly got some relief when again mallu and db tried to separate her from from ashu

13. trying to hide the situation from ashu when she sneaked out to meet him

14. caught between ashu's promise and baba's promise

So many things coming one on the heals of the other can break anyone down.

Lastly just becoz she is in love does not and SHOULD NOT mean that she ceases to be baba's daughter. She just wants to humor her baba and db. after all, their existence revolves aroung her. she cant turn her face from her family for a man she just met some time ago, however deep and and pure her love. Moreover, she told rohan and anjie that she has not given up on her relationship with ashu. she just wants to give her family some time to calm down and understand the depth of her relationship and that its not just an infatuation.

this is strictly my pov. no offence meant

I suppose its because both the mens (Baba n Ashu) has equal importance in her life. But currently she is not able to take firm decision..reason may be what ever Baba told her and what ever she seen about Mandira is scaring her. She knows her Baba is heart patient and if she take Ashu's side or go with him that will be dangerous for her Baba' health.

Surely next week we will going to see strong Nidhi who will be at Ashu's side...who will chose love over Family. She will surely going to tell Baba that she couldn't live without Dr. Ashu.

Its just a bad phase she is going through.

Indeed.. i for one believe.. that.. u dun stop being a daughter when u become a wife.. ..i believe all the relations need to be balanced in life.. n when situations get touf.. u hv to may be.. for others sacrifice.. but here.. i dun mean Nidhi should sacrifice her love.. but rather.. share her pain with Ashu so that.. he can do his part in the relation n stand as her strength... in this hour of distress... after all.. 'Husband-Wife' r but half of the other!

Very nice topic. I agree with what everyone have written so far. I just wanted to point out that we must not forget that she is only 24, and at present depends on her father's support. She does not have the confidence that a financially independent girl will have. She cannot just leave her house as she does not have anywhere to go. To regain her confidence she needs to start getting a career.

I think she is giving her family one chance as they seem to be too stubborn and she also knows that they have to go back to Lucknow at some point. She is trying to quietly make them understand her love and at the same time make them realize that this is not an infatuation that will disappear if she goes out of Lucknow.

She is also more confident about her love and Ashu's love for her. I think she knows that at the end of the day he will stand by her and not doubt her. The situation is reversed now, earlier when she fell in love with Ashu she was confident of her family's acceptance, but now with Mandira's entry in their lives, she has Ashu's confidence and acceptance but her family's rejection. Most importantly I think she is giving everyone, including herself some time to reflect on the situation and decide on how to proceed.

well...i feel she would do exactly that when she meets him in kerala. she will confide in him, regarding the situation. till now, she was feeling that he is too ill to take stress. after all, maut ke muh se wapas aaya hai.

but when she realizes that he has come all the way to kerala and found her whereabouts even in this state, she will definitely tell him everything, unless of course cvs ki budhi phir se ghaas charne chali jaye.

Currently, cvs ki akkal is the most unpredictable thing on the show.
