Ashutosh realized what she did.

"Nidhi. Ye umra ka faasle sirf ek number nahin hai. Ye insaanon ko bahut alag bana deta hai. Aur ye aisa faasla hai jo ki samay ke saath aur badhta hi jaata hai. Main aur boodha hi hone waala hoon samay ke saath," he laughed slightly.
"Aur main to Nidhi Button Verma hoon na. Meri umra to samay ke saath kam hone waali hai. Kyon Dr. Ashutosh?"
humor yet so meaningful, their doubts so visible behind the attempts at humor. They located a slightly empty corner in the ballroom. They found one as more people were interested in the disco than in the ball dance. But once they were ready to dance, it became awkward. They had to hold each other close. Ashutosh hesitated. Nidhi smiled nervously, but finally they did start dancing. Or rather trying to dance!
Ashutosh slowly tried to show her the steps, but she found it difficult to coordinate and once almost tripped because she moved in the opposite direction than what was expected. Ashutosh had to hold her tight to stop her from falling. She giggled at her mistake.
"I think it was a bad idea," she said still laughing slightly. Somehow their awkwardness was washed away in her giggle.
highlight for me, stepping in their own world, almost saying to hell with others, you can see ashu throwing caution to the wind, yet as ever reality comes back running.

so typically ashu, his protective instincts up to the maximum when it concerns her, his pain at what he sees his inability to protect her and in explaining what happened he would be hurting her, that is doing what he just does not want to

you have to love the girl here, as always he comes first... her first reaction is for him, how he must have felt... thats whats called love... the other before the self

But she could at least ensure that he did not have to be in difficult or awkward situation because of that.

And everytime, it had been in his hands to bring the smile back on her face.

He had wanted her to stay away from him for the sake of her well-being and future. Not due to the feelings of shame or guilt. No. It wouldn't do for him to leave her to her means. But what would he do?
