but it was a lil confusing in the start as was that a flashback or really happening then???? and then suddenly, ashu said that he n nidhi cant b together and then she enter and its revealed that they r married...

its a suggestion that plz give a time limit that the first thing happen 6 months or a year back...or is a flash back...

otherwise...the story going tooo sweet...Mallika all red...

Mallika was too stunned to say anything, Ashutosh was not at all ashamed, it is Mallika who should be sorry.

"Mallika, I guess you have that manners to knock before entry.."

"I knew it, you would say anything like this, So, Dr. Nidhi, you are doing personal duty , here...not bothering to your obligations towards the patients, but giving pleasure to the HOD so that he can overlook your negligence.."

Ashutosh has had enough of Mallika, he said in a cold tone, "Dr. Mallika, I can file a case against you, for barging in my bedroom, and intrude in my privacy, and most importantly, abusing my wife, Nidhi." He took a firm grip on Nidhi's shoulder
and said, "In future, you are supposed to maintain a decent behaviour, else may god help you then, now get out of my bedroom, and get out of my house..."

Mallika was not getting anything, what rubbish, wife!! Nidhi? He married her? When? Nobody knows that. Does Col. Verma know that?

Seeing Mallika's confusion, Ashu said, "Will you please leave my room, I have to talk with my wife, very well..Nidhi, I am hungry, why don't you make some breakfast for me, meanwhile, I read the headlines in news paper,"..and dragged Nidhi along with him out of the room..keeping behind Mallika , shocked and stunned..

Ashutosh looked at Nidhi from the corner of his eyes, she was silent which was not a good sign. He expected a big fight after Mallika's departure,but Nidhi said nothing. Hiraman Kaka was looking happy, Ashutosh clearly understood that the old man sent Mallika inside the house knowingly. He should thank him, but seeing Nidhi's silence Ashu wanted to scream.

Later, while getting ready for hospital, Ashutosh was in front of the mirror, Nidhi was on phone, after disconnecting the call she was about to leave the room..but she stopped when heard from Ashutosh..

"Well, if you are angry then you can take it out,I am ready to face it.."

"I am not angry, I saw the drama, you gave back to her rightly, then why should I bother?"

"You have to say only this?"

"No..another thing.."

Ashutosh became cautious.."What?"

"Please cover your neck, I can't help about the ears, but please, cover those marks..."

Ashutosh broke into loud laugh.."It's not at all funny"..Nidhi fumed..

"It's not funny, but it's natural.."

"Don't you have any shame?"

"I cannot afford to have that when it comes to you...and you know that.."

Nidhi came back to her father, Col. Verma looked lost somewhere.Nidhi called, "Baba.."

Col. Verma looked at her, said " You are coming from...?"

"I was in hospital, you had your medicines?"

"Ohhh..yes I had, you look so pale, too much work pressure I guess, sometimes I regret that I shouldn't have insisted upon you to study Medical Science, neither you wanted to study that"

"You need rest, don't talk too much..I need some sleep, I have duty tonight.."

"Okay, take some rest.."

Col. Verma looked at the departing shadow of her daughter..poor child, only if Ashutosh was at least 32-33, Col. Verma wouldn't mind about the alliance, but the age gap is so visible..being a father he cannot let Nidhi to do this.

Ashutosh was checking the records,Rangnath came there.."You talked to her?"

"With whom?"

Rangnath kept silence,Ashutosh said," Dr. Rangnath, I know what I am doing, trust me..", Rangnath did not miss the hidden joy in his voice,well, that is good for all, else Anji would kill Rangnath.Ashutosh came back to his cabin, thinking about
Nidhi, she always surprises him..he expects somethings , she talks or does something which is completely opposite to Ashu's gutt feelings.

Nidhi was a girl who always got pampered by her family. Though she lost her mother at a very early stage of life, but other people made it up for her.But what she felt about Ashutosh was completely different.Initially she was not interested in
Medical Science. But when she saw the difficulties of human life as the forms of diseases she felt a jerk in herself.She saw the everyday challanges though the job looks boring for the outside people.

One day she faced a delivery death, it was a girl child who lost her mother right after her birth. On the other hand, she saw a daughter who was 40 years old, she also lost her mother in an accident.

A mother who never got to know her daughter, a daughter who will never get to know her real mother,another woman who dies after seeing certain accomplishment in her daughter's life. Nidhi remembered her mother.Her mother could not see any accomplishment in her life.She wanted to cry, Dr. Ashutosh saw those moist eyes.

Ashutosh got annoyed, "We are here to treat them Dr. Verma, not to cry on their death. You won't be able to treat them properly if you waste your time by sympathising with them personally.." said Ashutosh..

Nidhi kept looking at Ashutosh, he said further, "This is life Dr. Verma, which must come to the end, everyone has to die , accept the fact. When we get pain we presume that no pain can be bigger than yours. But million-billion people are there
who are passing through the bigger lane of pain and hurt"..

Nidhi was recalling her mother, she became irritated by the constant unwanted lecture.

" I presume you have a heart made of ice, that is why you can be so indiffrent. Now I understand why you look so younger than your age, they say whose heart is made of ice, warmth of any feelings cannot tough that heart, those people can look so young..."

Ashutosh was taken aback, he never heard any such thing from any girl, it was about his looks, his heart and his feelings.

But after a second, Nidhi completed her sentence, "just like the vampires".

Ashutosh almost chocked.Out of all , Nidhi found him a vampire!!Nidhi excused herself from there and left the ward. He kicked himself mentally, for taking the matter in another way.But soon he found that Nidhi was assimilating the essence of
the profession,slow and steadily..

From that day, Ashutosh became concious, about his looks, whenever he thought about that comment, his earlobes used to turn warm.She observed him with so much attention, not bad.But after that day, he did not see much expressions on her face, it was evident that she was having a tough time to conceal her actual reactions. and she showed a cold shoulder to Ashutosh.Ashutosh couldn't help but to aske her,about her mother when he came to know from another intern that she lost her mother in her childhood.Nidhi became very irritated.

"It is very personal question Sir, I am not compelled to answer you rather I would advise you to take care of your mother.."

Ashutosh was dumbstruck and hurt.He left silently.Much later, Nidhi came to know about Ashutosh's family, she felt bad and ashamed,this time she just barged into his cabin..."I came to appologise for that day..".. she said.

Ashutosh looked at her for sometime, "Relax, Dr. Verma.I didn't mind it.But please, you remember one thing that if you will let every incident to dent your mind, then life would be very difficult for you, specially we , the Doctors need to be immune from these things."

"Hmm..I will keep that in mind"

"The lunch time is over, get back to the ward, I guess you had your lunch.."

"Today I ate nothing, it's a usual practise, I don't eat today, rather I don't take water too.."

"Why? Your mother died on this day?"..Ashutosh just said it, without imagining the gravity.

"Yes..you are right, mother's death anniversary,anyways..thanks for your time.." and she left.

Ashutosh just wanted to bang his head on the wall,what got into him these days? why he is giving such impulsive reactions?That is very unlike him, immediatly he got up and followed her, saw her in the corridor, laughing with a nurse.Deep pang of guilt came across his heart.Suddenly he realised that his approach, his sadistic approach towards life is affecting other people.May be he is not complaining, but his body language shows his grudge against his life.That is not good. He never thought in that way. But now, a mere intern in his Hospital made him think, seriously.

well i cant say abt the others but i liked the ff a lot...it reveals the story from a different angle..and thats quite nice...really nice..plz do continue and do update quickly...and eagerly waiting
